One of the only nude l/s I can pull off. I have very pigmented lips, and this shows up a warm, peachy beige. Love it!

For reference, I'm NC40 with dark brown hair and brown eyes.I hesitated buying this for a couple of months, determined to make Guerlain Divinora Matte #480 work for me. If only I'd known that I was truly wasting my time and instead this $5 lipstick was such a better choice for me. Rimmel Birthday Suit lipstick is everything I want in a nude-look lipstick! Smooth, creamy, long-lasting, beige with just the tiniest bit of pinky-peach... just enough so I don't look "dead". I love that it's not completely matte and has just enough sheen to look sexy but not a porny/CFM look ;-)I would definitely repurchase! continued >>

A great nude lipstick to go with anything. In search for the nude lipstick I have made some terrible purchases that gave me either corpsy lips or too pink ones for my light olive complexion. It smells kind of 'bubblegummy' to me which I don't mind. Long story short, not too brown/pink/peachy just nude and wears pretty well. Try it.

When I was serving in the military, lipstick was a big no-no. As a matter of fact, makeup in general was a no-no and being the makeup junkie as I was (and am), I had a very hard time with this. Rimmel's "Birthday Suit" was the ONLY shade of lipstick I could somehow get away with alongside a uniform. It's a neutral color which really compliments a nude look. It didn't bestow me with the "no makeup look" (otherwise there would be no point to wearing it, now would there?), it's a lovely beige neutral that really compliments a low maintenance look and to my commanders, even undetected. I have managed to stretch my tube of this stuff for years, it's held up very nicely and is a great color to have in one's makeup bag for "those situations" and no-fuss mornings when you've got no time to color coordinate on your way out the door. It's a classic, it's a keeper, it's a wonderful product. Thumbs up, Rimmel!

ďBirthday SuitĒ needs to be the color that all nudes are born from. Itís a perfect neutral, ylbb color that goes with every look you can imagine, yay for easy to get along with colors! Pink enough to keep from being brown, brown enough to keep from being pink, and no traces of gray...another yay! Itís somewhat of a sheer formula, which I like since Iím a gloss girl at heart. No shimmer, frost or sparkles, just creamy sheer color. Looks similar to my beloved Mad Cap lipglass.Great with a spice, natural or brown liner. Typical Rimmle fruity smell which is nice, but can be overbearing at times. Staying power leaves something to be desired, but the formula is sheer and moisturizing so what do you expect for less than $5? Feels/wears like a balm instead of a lipstick and application is easily done without a mirror. No worries as it wears away, it doesnít leave behind any funky shimmer or color. Ugly, chunky packaging, but I donít really care, itís inexpensive, itís moisturizing, easy to apply and easily found at the drug store, assuming itís in stock...this is the one color that I do have a hard time finding because itís very popular. Took off a lipstick for the packaging and overbearing scent. Will continue to repurchase.NC15, light green eyes, pigmented textured lips, light brown/dark blonde hair

I love this lipstick! For the price, it has pretty good 'lasting-power' and the color is great for the summer.

After trying countless Rimmel l/s (Paradise, Airy Fairy, Heather Shimmer) I was about to give up on them, but I decided to try Birthday Suit even though some other reviewers have complained about the orangeness. Well for me, it looks similar on the lips to Mac High Tea, but slightly peacher and more pigmented. Plus you can get Rimmel l/s for dirt cheap, especially when they're on sale at drugstores. This definitely works on pigmented lips, as mine are too colored to wear anything like Mac Hue and Blankety, or Nars Chelsea Girls. If I wear Birthday Suit with a layer of Mac C-Thru lip glass over it, it's the closest I'll get to Nars Chelsea Girls without the gross "my lips disappeared" look. For once.... I'm happy with my Rimmel l/s purchase and would consider repurchasing, although the scent does bother me a bit.

I really wanted to like this lipstick based on all the rave reviews and seeing how it looks like on people but Birthday Suit just did not do it for me.On my light skin, this color was so-so. On me, it's a nude beigey apricot color. The scent and taste is fine - has the typical fruity Rimmel scent. The packaging is cheap but it's easy to overlook if you like the color. I definitely like Rimmel' Paradise better. Having said that, I am sure that this looks good on a lot of people - just not me.

OMG I love this lipstick!! I usually just wear lip gloss or tinted balm. After reading the reviews here, I decided to pick up this lipstick at Longs (this week buy 1 get 1 free of Rimmel). It's great for daytime wear. Nice nude/beige color but sheer with some shimmer. Doesn't have a weird smell or texture. Would definitely buy again.

I don't usually buy this brand but I thought I'd try it out. It went on fairly smoothly and gave nice sheer color with a hint of shimmer, but not too much shimmer. I really like the color too, I would definately buy this again.EDIT:I forgot to mention the smell.. it's not so great, and scents don't usually bother me. So if you're sensitive to things like that, you might wanna skip this.
