Lush is more of an entire concept rather than just a store. The "pushiness" is really just Lush's attempt at helping people find the right product for them and to let them know more about the products. It seems like knowing more about the products you're using isn't all that important to some of you, but honesty about their ingredients is a major part of Lush. Their …Read more

I have been into 4 different LUSH stores in 3 different cities (New York, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City) and one commonality reigns true--the sales associates do NOT leave you alone. Every time I leave that store, I find myself saying to whomever I went with that I wish I could go in and be by myself for 20 minutes and then have the staff assist me. Sometimes you just want to smell things and …Read more

I generally like LUSH although their stores do smell very strongly and irritate my sensitive nose. I also don't like how they use a lot of SLS in their products, another thing that irritates me....and my skin. And then there are the really high prices. I bought a bubble bar that I really loved, but it cost $8! And that is for one, maybe two uses. That is really expensive for a bubble bath …Read more

One day my friend and I were just walking along through Macy's and we see the Lush little section and were like "Lets go see what they have!" So ignoring the terrible smell emitting from the section, we head over. I have no idea how many different lotions, sprays, soaps we smelled, but they all smelled like, like, I dont even know how to describe the smells other than completely …Read more

I had my first experience at the LUSH store after Christmas due a GC i got from my family and it was fantastic. The scent is kind of overwhelming, but after a while, I hardly noticed it. I told the SA that this was my first time in their store and the amount of money I wanted to spend. I wanted to try the bubblegum lip scrub, but they were out. The SA went above and beyond trying to find the 3 …Read more

The LUSH concept is "natural, fresh, and homemade."
NOT organic.
The company strives to use as little packaging possible, hence the serum "bars," the shower jellies, the bath products that are not encased in plastic jars.
Many of LUSH's products are made from food- so yes, the dreaded SLS and OHNOES parabens might be part of the ingredients.
Many of …

I do not understand the appeal of this store or its products which, whether cleansers, toners, shampoo, conditioners or whatever all seem to be based on the formula of food + cheap and nasty standard-issue detergents + heavy perfume) . I've tried quite a number of products from its catalogue and found neary all of them all horribly aggravating, super-grease-making, super-drying or clogging …Read more

Yeah I gotta agree. LUSH has never done it for me. While I really appreciate their eco-green efforts, I find the make of most products made extremely impractical. I don't know why they have to make body 'lotions' in a bar, and face washes in crumbly bits of material. There are plenty of great organic brands where the application is practical. Most of the products are just a stretch …Read more

I'm really surprised by all of the negative reviews about LUSH. Trust me, I'm not a huge LUSH junkie, but I don't think its awful. Like every other store it has its pros and cons. Some products are definitely overpriced, but there are also things there that are unique to LUSH that I know that I couldn't live without. Also they're almost always willing to give you samples …Read more

Hate it. Don't know what people like about this place or their products.

I have tried their bath bombs and inevitably, they leave detritus all over the bathtub which you then have to scrub. Little dried flower petals etc. I mean I get how it seems romantic in theory but in real life it's just impractical and annoying.

Their lotions or lotion bars have never worked …
