Toners - Elizabeth Arden - Hydra-Splash Alcohol Free Toner

I found this on sale at Winners/Home Sense and thought 'why not try a popular brand name toner'? The bottle is cute and has a simple design, very pretty to look at - but unfortunately after using the product 2x a day religiously for 2.5 months, I have noticed no changes in my skin. I have sensitive, dry, medium/olive skin and rarely experience breakouts - I do however have terrible red …Read more

This skin protectant has been around since 1930, and I was reminded of it when I was watching a video on YouTube about vintage products. I was concerned mostly about the scent, and I can see how it’s compared to the smell of bandaids. There was also a L’Oreal lip gloss that came in a pot, that I used in Middle School in the 80s, that had a scent similar to this, which was actually what I first …Read more

These are silicone filled, unlike their regular or vitamin c counterparts. As a regular tretinoin user, these are too weak. I find that using a silicone based product as the first layer dries my skin out too much and I don't like the rubbery feel. After half a jar, I gave them to my mum. I recommend that you try at least 5 or so before buying. I'm onto the vitamin c ones, which I like …Read more

Tinted beige cream that rubs in quickly and easily quickly leaving a skinlike dry matte finish with gold shimmer pieces. I'm not a fan of matte with shimmer finishes as I find they make my skin look older, and like I'm trying too hard to cover it with glitter. I find it very drying. I have normal skin and it makes me feel dehydrated with every little fine line enhanced, and …Read more

If you want a mineral makeup, much better choices available for much less. Bismuth Oxychloride listed near the bottom and may contain carmine. (Carmine is derived from insects.)

Here's the ingredient list for this product: MICA, DIMETHICONE, NYLON-12, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, ZINC STEARATE, SILICA, METHICONE, SQUALANE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, ALUMINA, CITRIC ACID, MAGNESIUM …

I like this quite a bit, but don't absolutely love it. The shade is a very pretty reddish plum without looking too brown, which makes it a good match for my pale/cool complexion. (Very much in the vein of Clinique Black Honey, if you are a fan of that one.) I really like the sheer, moist, low shine finish. It has a slippery, balmy texture that is comfortable to wear, but lasting power is …Read more

Not crazy about this. I ordered online and got shade "ivory" which turns out to be too warm for my cool/pale/pink complexion. It is kind of a thick, dry, creamy consistency, if you can imagine that. Coverage is medium and somewhat buildable. If you have become accustomed to the huge concealer tubes and doe foot applicators common among many concealers lately, you will be shocked at …Read more

This is just okay for me. I wanted a cream blush for daily wear that would look good with just SPF and moisturizer with no foundation or powder (my typical routine). I have in pink shade, which is a good match for my pale/cool coloring. It does look fresh and natural initially, but I have been disappointed with wear time. I paid around $22, but I think it will last me quite a while with …Read more

I've been wearing it all summer, and it grew even more on me.

Amazing quality for the price. It has composition that evolves with time. First, natural garden bloom - linden tree and lilac. Fresh green lily-of-the-valley comes a bit later. Dry-down is clean and soft (think nutmeg and powdery violet). As far as I'm concerned there are no dated aldehyde notes.

I'm …
