Treatments (Eye) -CLINIQUE -All About Eyes

I used a full size of this once or twice in the past (the gel version) and liked it for daytime use since it absorbed quickly, left a matte finish that didn't interfere with my makeup, and didn't irritate my eyes. After not using it for a while, I bought some again and am not happy with it. I find that it provides very little hydration. Even if I apply it quite generously, the area around my eyes feels and looks dry after a few hours. It also might be irritating my eyes.

Blush -CLINIQUE -Cheek Pop in Pink Pop

This blush gives a really nice lit from within glow and blends out very smoothly. I like that it's not too warm or too cool, and while it works well for my NW20 skin I think it would work for other skin tones too. The effect reminds me of Dior Rosy Glow, which I really like but is twice the price. So this is a pretty good value if you like the effect. The packaging is very cute though I wish it had a mirror. Other than that, big thumbs up!

Sunscreen -CLINIQUE -Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 40

foto

I used this on a prolonged basis (>1 month) and this product did not give me breakouts on my acne-prone skin. I love the oil-free formula which protects my skin really well. My only issue is the piling of product on my face and the shade which did not sit well with my pale face. Tried to blend it out in sections of my face, apply loose powder over but product kept piling.. After a few hours, there is a noticeable orange tint on my face. Sunblocks have to be reapplied over a few hours, and the more i applied, the worse it got. I use this product mainly at home. It would be great if Clinique could make an untinted version of this.
Update: I found a way to apply this product better, shaked it a few times beforehand and it goes on very smoothly without flaking.

Cleansers -CLINIQUE -Liquid Facial Soap - Oily Skin Formula

I suffer from painfully severe acne. Pimples would develop on my face almost every single day-I also suffer from hypersensitivity. My skin barrier is damaged from harsh dermalogical cleansers and acne treatments which also made my skin very much prone to bright redness and stinging. If you suffer from this type of condition, I suggest u to steer clear of this cleanser. I understand that this cleanser works wonders for many people, but it stings your eyes terribly and strips your skin’s natural barrier, leaving it dry and making any skin problems worse. It doesn’t even cleanse my skin that well and left me with clogged pores. I also forgot to mention that my skin is extremely oily with enlarged pores.

If you’re looking for a cleanser, there are tons of oher alternatives out there with better ingredients and better results.

Treatments (Eye) -CLINIQUE -Pep-Start Eye Cream

I really like this eye cream, especially the idea for packaging without a dirty roller ball, you can wipe this over every day and apply and rub in with the ball on the end of the package. I liked the samples enough to go out and buy the cream full price, but the ball shape on the packaging makes it even nicer! I like the cool, yet delicate feel on my face when applying and that it's not too harsh but it still clearly moisturises my undereyes.

Lipstick -CLINIQUE -Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm

I've got mine in the Whopping Watermelon shade that I really like.
All the colors of Chubby Stick come out very subtle, perfect for those who don't like to wear lipsticks but still want to brighten up their lips.
It has a really good lasting power, and no scent. It glides easily and you don't need a mirror to apply it.
The only downsides that if I wear it constantly it dries my lips and it also gathers with a white cast at the outer corners of my mouth.
Won't buy it again.

This stuff smells very strong & nauseating! ! I had received it as a free gwp a long time ago as a hand cream & I gave it to my grandmother & it literally stank up her entire apartment with one application! This stuff is potent & does remind me of a old woman's perfume scent! ! LOL!

Sunscreen -CLINIQUE -Pep-Start Daily UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 50

The main pros for me are that I can use it around my eyes without irritation, and that it doesn't leave a white cast or white smears because of the tint. However, the tint is fairly intense and it is somewhat too yellow for my skin, though it usually doesn't look too noticeable. My main complaint with this is that it is quite shiny, although it is not a greasy shine at least. It's more of a "dewy" shine. It does not absorb and sits on the surface of my skin. It might be slightly drying. It doesn't always work well with the other products I use and can pill up when something else is applied on top. Although the price in itself isn't high, it is expensive for the small amount of product. For me it's not holy grail, but it's better than many other SPFs I've tried.

Moisturizers -CLINIQUE -Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

on 10/30/2018 6:28:00 PM

foto

It’s an okay product, not nearly as good as some reviews claim it to be.
Recently my usually normal/combo skin got quite dry due to air conditioning at my workplace, so I had to invest in some heavy duty moisturizers.
I like Clinique Moisture Surge range- a nice basic lineup for folks who need hydration. But hydration wise, this product is lackluster comparing to jar moisturizer.
I was expecting that “supercharged concentrate” will be extra moisturizing, but it’s more suitable for people with combo/oily skin. I had to use another moisturizer on top of it.
Pros: absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave greasy residue, packaging (I wish the classic moisturizer also came with a pump), it’s fragrance free, non irritating, suitable for sensitive skin.
Cons: it’s not moisturizing enough, I ran out of it pretty quickly.
Overall, not worth the price, not the best value. Next time I’ll go for the classic Moisture Surge.

Primer/ Corrector -CLINIQUE -Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base

Due to having severe eczema all over including my face, I have been struggling to find the right primer to use before adding on my foundation. This one as mentioned in other reviews, is of a chalky texture, but I find once it has been rubbed in properly, it definitely does the job. I have red patches around my eyes and on my cheeks so I apply this there and then add on my foundation. I do find sometimes my foundation (Clinique Anti Redness Makeup in Neutral) doesn't seem to cover this up much. I apply the foundation with a brush, maybe I need to go back to using a beauty blender, although I find it doesn't going over my dry patches very well.
Obviously everyone's skin is different, and having very dry and red skin myself, I would still buy this product.

Cleansers -CLINIQUE -Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

foto

If you're looking for something that really takes off waterproof eyeliner and mascara, this is the product for you. A little goes a long way with this one in that just a small dab warmed up between your fingers will easily start to break down your makeup. The reason for my 3-star review is that the jar does not come with something to scoop out the balm. Once you've started rubbing your fingers on your makeup you don't want to put your dirty fingers back in for more if you need it. So I end up using both hands, getting them both full of makeup as I touch the faucet handles and try to put the top of the jar back on. I know, I'm probably weird and don't have to do this, it's just routine. Second, I'm not sure if others have noticed but this leaves a film in my eyes! Whether I have contacts in or not, it gets blurry sometimes and I have to be careful to wash it out.

Cleansers -CLINIQUE -Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

So, this works really well for me. I tried cleansing oils, and micellar waters to do an initial cleanse to remove makeup. None of them stopped the breakouts I was experiencing after using my favorite foundations. This melts into my skin and dissolves my foundation and eye makeup without having to rub too hard. It rinses off cleanly and leaves my skin soft. I follow up with my Cetaphil cleanser. I need just a little bit to take off all my makeup. I wish there was a more hygienic way to get this out of the tub. I dislike having to stick my fingers into it. Perhaps a small spatula would help. Even so, a really great product!

Eye Makeup Remover -CLINIQUE -Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips

Very effecting in removing the makeup without irritating the eyes. The skin is not dry afterwards like most makeup removers. I will definitely buy it again. It is a bit expensive but the eye area is really important, and this product it's not aggressive and keeps my eyes away from irritation.

Moisturizers -CLINIQUE -Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief [DISCONTINUED]

foto

I got this as a sample and was excited to try it because I have very dry skin. Because of the name of the product, I thought it was a moisturizer and could potentially replace my moisturizer. Definitely not. The first time I used it, I put on three layers because my skin felt tight and dry after each application. I have to put my normal moisturizer on top of it and I found that immediately, my skin started flaking and being more dry than it's ever been. I even got a dry flakey spot on in the middle of my nose which I never had before. My forehead started breaking out as well. The product does not work as described whatsoever. I kept trying it because I am hoping that I am wrong, and I don't want to throw out such an expensive product, but it really is bad. Will have to dump it.
