I will never understand all the poor/mediocre reviews of this perfume! I know everyone’s nose is different, and that’s why it can be difficult when it comes to reviewing fragrances. But I digress.. this perfume is stunning. I honestly don’t love any of the other Chanel perfumes outside of the Chane line (I adore all the Chanel Chance fragrances), but the others are not for me. They are simply too musky and border on that dreaded “old lady smell”. I can appreciate a mature, classy, and musky fragrance, and I don’t despise the others.. I do appreciate the formulations, but they are simply not for me. Gabrielle, on the other hand, maintains the class of a Chanel fragrance while remaining fresh and young, but not too young. I also don’t mean young necessarily in age, but in spirit. Gabrielle, to me, is the classy older sister of the Chanel Chance line.. or even perhaps the single, wealthy aunt who travels abroad and is truly out there living her best life lol. Gabrielle has a subtle warmth, without being musky or spicy. It has a subtle sweetness without being cloying or gourmand-y at all. Its unmistakably sophisticated, fresh, bright, and feminine. If you like Chance, but want something more sexy, mature, seductive, and sophisticated.. go for this. When I smelled this, my first thought was: a wealthy, classy, mature, hard-to-get, sexy (without trying too hard, if at all) woman. A woman who takes care of herself, who takes pride in herself. Who is classic, but also a class act. There is nothing powdery. “old lady-ish”, or simple about it. I ADORE this fragrance. There is nothing out there like it. Absolutely beautiful.

Monochrome is a chalky light blue/grey which is a good neutral for those who don't look good in beige. This is cooler than beige and will work well day or evening. It is artfully formulated which means though you think you can pick up the same colour in the Essie line you can't. It goes on very smoothly without streaking. I lowered the rating because Chanel does not provide a better brush. Dior provides a curved brush which makes application so easy. You know for the price ......

Super pricey but after all it’s Chanel- you can’t expect it to be affordable. If you like to treat yourself with high end makeup, go for it. They have some beautiful colors and quality is usually very good. They last on my nails pretty well, though I frequently change my nail color. Usually I need two coats, but I don’t mind it. True, you can get equally good (or better) nail polishes for way less, but it’s the case with most high end products. Oh, and I like the brush-great for my narrow nails.

A guy I’ve been seeing for several months wears this and it’s so sexy. He always smells like clean macho laundry.Very masculine but doesn’t scream “cologne”. I usually don’t like most scents that men wear, and a lot of them tend to have an almost baby powder note that makes me want to barf.

I have found this product to be chalky and leaving a very full flat look on my skin. Very disappointed with this. The colors are great but formula leaves much to be desired. Also felt the coverage was skimpy. I would call it light coverage, and the product is very drying, sticks into imperfections.

First off, this product is very sheer, and is not a powder foundation. This is more of a glowy, healthy powder that can be used to lightly set foundation to add some glow, and just give your skin a healthy look overall.. I'm not a full coverage foundation/base product kind of girl, in fact I only have 1 full coverage liquid foundation out of over 20 that I currently have. This is that perfect quick product to pair with some under eye concealer on a great skin day, even the fan type brush that comes with it is great. Definitely recommend.

This is a really gorgeous mid tone warm pink, that looks much more dark/neon in the pan. I tend to lean more towards neutral/cool blushes, so this shade is a really nice addition to my collection. I love the formula, quality, and longevity of Chanel blushes, but I really hate the floral scent, and I LOVE most scented products...I do still recommend this shade as the perfect warm true pink.

For the price they could add a pump. Even though it says its for normal to oily skin the application was nice at first but after a few hours I was oily in the T-Zone. Coverage is sheer to medium. I applied it with my clarisonic makeup brush head even though it says to use fingers. I really don't want to go back to applying foundation with my hands. C'mon Chanel, women use brushes or sponges. I was also disappointed alcohol which can be so irritating was high on the ingredient list. Regret this purchase and back to my holy grail, Guerlain.

OMG! After my HG Teint Innocence then my HG Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid being discontinued I could not find another product that came close; but then I found this and I do love it. I wouldn't say this is HG but it's close. I use #21 in this and used #10 in the previous ones (NC15 skintone). It gives me a very nice glow and evens out my skintone beautifully while making my skin look radiant. I don't know what it is but it brightens up my complexion giving it a youthful and hydrated feel. When applying it feels cool to the touch which i like. It stays on me all day and doesn't transfer to clothes. It provides me with enough coverage to hide my imperfections but i would not say it is full coverage. It's light to medium - sort of more coverage than tinted moisturizer but less than a foundation. I apply this with the sponge applicator and just pat it down on my skin. I will add the caveat that I prefer to use this during the winter months because I do feel a tad bit heavy with this on plus for darker lips a flawless skin looks better. For summer months I am yet to find my equivalent to my Les Beiges Fluid and Tient Innocence :( One last thing to note is that I wish Chanel had provided an extra refill with this for this price since we are getting 14 grams of product for the price of a normal liquid foundation that is 30 grams. So, i do feel ripped off!

If you want drama - dark, rich black pigment with alot of volume and length plus helping it stay curled all day - try this Chanel Revolution Mascara. I LOVE IT! It is my HG! I will warn you though that it does smudge if you don't wear powder underneath the eyes. And after washing I am still left with a tad bit of the mascara smear under the eyes; hence I only wear this for special occasions. Cannot be bothered with the high maintenance everyday. But when i'm going out hands down i definitely reach for this! BTW I also LOVE the packaging! It's so beautiful to look at and the feel of it is also so wonderful - weighty and textured! Definitely repurchasing!

Disappointing! I'm not sure why CHANEL keeps changing the CC Cream formula, it was perfect the first time around. At least the color range has been expanded and now has a high SPF. It's recommended to be worn under powder foundation, however I wore it under liquid foundation as I have done in the past with this product. I found it looked somewhat drying on the skin (my skin is combination). Sadly I returned it!

While this product has a excellent finish, doesn't transfer, lasts a long time (seven months daily use), and covers redness well, it has removed every trace of moisture from my skin and shows disastrous crepey crinkles and lines not seen prior to use. This of course could be the aging process, however, after I apply this CC cream, my skin is tight and hurts to move or smile, even when used with Dermalogica Super Rich Repair sealed in with a thin layer of Aquafor. Astonishing. It will take at least one year to repair my skin to baseline after discontinuation of use.I will not repurchase and do not recommend.

Chanel is another brand that make excellent quality of lip pencils. It is made in Germany and I find that German manufacturers make better quality and formulation of makeup pencils. The packaging is good, just like Lancôme, Clarins, CT.This shade, Natural is more of a brown neutral shade. If you are tired of CT Iconic Nude, MAC Spice and wanted to purchase a different brand, this is worth taking a look at. It glides on well, the staying power is the same as the brands mentioned above. I will repurchase as I like to own variety brands of lip pencils and this brand is on my regular shopping list.Beautiful!

Chanel.... what can I say? Among my personal experience with this brand, 80% of the time I'm disappointed. This foundation is no different. After all these years, I know all too well substance weight 10 times more then "style"! But on the shallow side sometimes I want to enjoy the prestige brand glory and that's how I made a mistake with Chanel. For 67$ Canadian... this foundation, for shade 12, it does offer a beautiful fair-skin tone with a bit of pinkish undertone, the real issue is... it doesn't blend well at all! It is a very thick foundation, which I am fully aware of, but it dry extremely fast and if you accidentally over layer, your face texture will look very dull and cakey! The fragrance is very "Chanel..." if you like that. There are other prestige brand foundation such as Dior Forever skin foundation that cost around the same price does 10 x times better job / easier to blend. (just the color selection was a little off on my skin!)Chanel shade tend to look on the warm / yellow-ish side! (Such as La Blanc foundation and they are ALL on the yellow-ish or very orange shade, nothing look too neutral to me) Lucky Tenue shade look slighty better then the rest of the foundation Chanel offer. If you have dryer skin or dry patch, this foundation will completely make it look worse. It took me one week trail (plus lots of product waste) to get used to it. It's best to prep your skin with very good hydrating toner, serum (preferable a face oil type of serum) with good day-time moisturizer and eye cream. You need to apply the foundation RIGHT AFTER YOU PREP your skin... don't wait too long. Use a bulky foundation brush (the big dense one) which you can quickly dab the product all over your face! Beauty blender actually don't make it easier (from my mistake) and the traditional flat painting style foundation brush will make it worse...Due to the thick foundation nature, it does last quite long, but your face will look completely matte. If you want some dewy freshness on, you will have to add on artificial glow (such as Chanel's La Blanc Base Shade 10) One more thing worthy to mention, this foundation isn't waterproof or sweat proof despite how thick it is, I've had wear the foundation in shower and it would look awful afterward. Overall.... NOT recommended! It's NOT user friendly, and you really need your skin to be on a good level of hydration before using the product. It's such ashame because I do love the shade! (Compare with DIOR/Lancome etc.) Pro:- Heavy coverage! (if you need that much coverage that is...)- Tocopherol (Vit-E) is presented... but in the very bottom of the ingredient lists.- If you like Chanel Fragrance... this smell VERY Chanel.- Shade wise, if you want a very light pink-ish tone, shade 12 is very good! Con:- NOT user friendly- This dry very fast... no matter how well prepared your skin is, this dry your skin!- The finishing isn't attractive, without careful application your skin could look dull, rough and very matte.- Staying power isn't strong, it transfer easily without setting powder or spray! (Which will make you even more cakey after setting powder!)- Strong scent! - Expensive... feel like you pay the high end price and asking for a lot of trouble!- The other Paris prestige brand work much nicer.- NOT waterproof despite its very thick!
