Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -Tea Tree Night Lotion

foto

I really wanted to like this, but it did nothing for my acne, and dehydrated my skin terribly. the texture of my skin is now rough and dry whereas it's usually soft, even if I have breakouts. I suppose the tea tree line is too harsh for me. Definitely would not repurchase and would suggest any potential user try a sample for a few days before making a purchase of the full size.

Excellent for the price. Doesnt irritate doesnt break me out. Looks flawless on top of some moisturiser. Only downside I would say is the colouring, its a powder which I feel due to an ingredient is very white. So i bought shade 3 which in the pan looks like and nc20 but its much lighter. I have a feeling that i could go up a lot more in the shades and still it would be light. Which means there arent enough darker shades. My favourite is the benefit but that is so expensive for 7grams so I use this most of the time and even if i use the benefit i save it for touch ups as its a great oil absorber. Definately worth a try.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop -Aloe Soothing Night Cream

This is a great cream, but the problem with it is that it's not perfectly non-comedogenic. It will soothe and nourish your skin, but if you're prone to comedones, you'll be getting a couple of teeny teeny new ones. I think the culprit is the ingredient Myristyl Myristate, which they also put in some other creams, I found out they really don't sit well with my skin...

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -DROPS OF YOUTH Youth Liquid Peel

When I first bought this product I was worried about the "chemical peel" and how my skin would react to it. But after first use I was both happily surprised and grossed out by the balling of my dead skin.
It is a bit of a challenge to wash off in the skin so I have started using it solely in the shower. The dead skin can also ball up in your tiny facial hairs has some have mentioned but I find rubbing a dry face cloth on my face after showering helps remove it. I highly recommend using this after a detox face mask, helps alleviate any purge breakouts that may occur.

I haven't notice it help the physical appearance of my skin as some have said but it definitely helps with the overall congestion and dry skin removal.

The scent is wonderful. However doesn't last very long. They have a perfume as well which is longer lasting so I might pick that up instead.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -Coconut Milk Body Lotion

You know, I actually really like this. Had string regrets the first time I used it, due to the strong vanilla drydown smell (NOT a vanilla fan here), but the consistency and spray applicator makes up for it. I see a lot of people here aren’t a fan of the spritzer, and I agree that it’s impossible to use on, say, your back or behind your legs, but -everywhere else- it’s just so easy! I’m not a fan of getting lots of cream on my hands, so the fact that I can spray on a cool, milky burst of moisture is great. I have generally oily skin, so the lightweight nature of this is perfect for me. Just wish the coconut scent was less gourmand-y.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -Cactus Blossom Body Butter

The official description:

“Don’t be prickly! Quench thirsty skin with our ultra fresh and rich Cactus Blossom Body Butter, enriched with exotic cactus flower extract from Morocco and Community Trade shea butter from Ghana. Stand up to moisture-stripped skin and leave your body feeling softer and more supple.”

I picked this up hoping for a replacement to my beloved (discontinued) Honeymania Body Butter. The smell intrigued me: very fresh and ...juicy...? A bit like biting into a prickly pear, or kiwi fruit.

Sadly, it turns out the smell is a bit too much. I usually love heavily scented things, but this is the fragrance equivalent of sweating fruit juice (albeit artisanal, expensive smelling fruit juice). Almost headache inducing, and a little sweeter than I originally thought.

Also, it is meant for normal-to-dry skin, but I find it underwhelming in the moisturizing department. And I don’t even have dry skin to start with...

The majority of it sinks in quite quickly, but leaves a vaguely waxy sheen on top of your skin.

I find it ideal for summer weekends: after a day in the pool, when you are just sun kissed (burnt) enough to feel a little dry and can pretend you’re vacationing somewhere exotic. Not for much else though...

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -Tea Tree Oil

This product is great for preventing pimples from getting worse. When you feel or see a pimple forming, just dab a tiny amount of the oil onto the area affected once a day.

The only downside to this product has been when I've used it on a pimple that has already formed or has been there for a while where it has then caused scarring once the pimple has cleared.

Otherwise, great for prevention.

I have combination oily skin and this toner definitely helps combat tightness after cleansing whilst mattifying skin. My go to toner.

Shampoo -The Body Shop -Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo

I have an oily scalp and have recently been experiencing hair loss due to calcium build up due to my move to London. I also have recently been experience a dry and itchy scalp due to harsh winter conditions.

I was recommended this product by two friends claiming it has helped them with their dryness, itchiness, and flakes. However, after a couple of weeks I realised my scalp was more oily, and the amount of flakes had increased. The itchiness was still there too.

Very disappointed. I would recommend trying the travel sized bottles first as it clearly doesn't work for everyone.

Highlighters -The Body Shop -Drops of Glow Luster Finish Creator - Illuminating

on 3/6/2019 9:25:00 AM

It was a blindbuy and I didn't expect to like it as much as I do.I usually used powder highlighters, each time I tried a liquid highlighter it was too bold but this one can be used in daily makeups too.
It can be used as face highlighter, mixed with foundation to create a luminous finish,on lip to add a touch of shimmer, even on eye shadow.I haven't tried it on my eye leads yet because I don't like glowy eye shadows but on face, either applied by fingertips or a brush directly on skin or combined with foundations it's very good.it has a runny texture and is easily blendable.it adds a pretty natural glow without being too much.it's not golden, silver,or pink.it's something in between and suits my fair-medium skin very well.I also like it on lips.It doesn't stay in a tacky liquid form like some others,it dries down in less than a minute.I prefer to apply it on top of lipstick because when used alone on bare lips,it makes my lips look a bit white and pale
I prefer it was scentless but it's scent doesn't stay long
I also love it's packaging which is made of glass and has a dropper applicator
The only thing I don't like about it is that it's very very difficult to find and pretty expensive where I live but the good point is that this tiny bottle lasts for a long time

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter

I tried the hemp ultra moisturizing protectant when the original hemp body butter was unavailable. I was very disappointed. Hard to spread/rub in and didn't have the deep moisturizing and relieving qualities that the hemp butter had. It's a decent moisturizer but not worth the trouble if you're looking for a replacement of the original formula. I'm now searching for other companies that will have a similar hemp body butter formula. Anyone that was concerned about the earthy smell of the original should know that the scent becomes addictive after awhile and is not offensive at all. My grade school son used it for years and now the kids at school have been wondering why he's not using his neat lotion anymore, they started to really like the smell too! We all really miss the body butter, it was so amazing from face to feet and nothing else comes close.

Treatments (Face) -The Body Shop -Drops of Light Pure Healthy Brightening Serum

I love this! I have very bad acne scarring/hyperpigmentation (I have tanned skin so the pigmentation is even darker) and I’m sure that this was the thing that helped even out and brighten my skin tone.

It smells lovely and it’s a watery consistency that sinks right in but also moisturises your skin, some nights I don’t even apply moisturiser after I just apply this.

I got this half price during Black Friday sales which was a bargain as this is expensive but definitely am going to repurchase when I run out.

I use this along with the drops of light spf essence which is my favourite spf, only one I found that doesn’t make my face super greasy or white

If you have hyperpigmentation I highly recommend this!!

I absolutely love this stuff. It's an HG. I have a berry tint and use it exclusively on my cheeks. The color is amazing and versatile, and it always makes me look younger and more awake. I can use it directly on my face, over foundation, or over foundation with powder. It has lasted me forever and I'll finally buy more. Not too pigmented but not too diluted either. I don't know... Just perfect.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop -British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter

This stuff is so lovely. I recently started getting really drawn to Rose scented products and decided to try this. My husband loves their body butters so when I saw this I had to get it.

Don't let the rose scent turn you off if you are not a rose fan. It is very soft. Its a light powdery rose that is wonderful. I'm a huge fan of this now. Absorbs into skin very quickly, so no greasy feeling. Leaves skin super soft and hydrated. I actually love the little sheen it leaves on skin. Wonderful on tan legs. I want to try more in the Rose line from The Body Shop.
