I was looking to try a new primer, I'd tried Revlon's PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, and liked it. Base on reviews, this sounded like a new and improved version of that. I have a very oily T-zone and use primer not as a base for foundation, but to mattify and blur pores and fine lines.Sadly, this did none of these things. It's quite liquid-y and it applies much more like a lotion than a primer. It's effect was also more like that of a lotion, there was no matte finish at all. My skin look as if I'd just slathered it with a moisturizer- left a kind of wet, dewy finish. Definitely not what I want in a primer.Returned it the next day, and picked up NYX's Angel Veil in it's place.

Volume and length is an absolute untruth. This product provides neither. I had never tried it and was looking for a change. I am always leery of switching mascara. I ended up calling Revlon and they are sending a $10 gift certificate. I don't understand why anyone comments about tossing it in the trash and not even calling for a refund! Nice to be made of money, I suppose. Unfortunately, the mascara the representative recommended is ALSO getting terrible reviews! I'll just find another Revlon product to use the coupon on and get a L'Oreal mascara. :(

This was recommended by a couple of beauty gurus that I watch, so I thought I would give it a try. I have combination skin, and at age 46 I am a little picky on my foundation. I would say the most important things to me are coverage and staying power. This foundation blew me away in both of those areas. The cons of this product- getting a perfect shade match. I felt like the shade I got looked dark in the bottle, but on my face it is lighter than expected. I will be getting another shade and mixing a bit as I go. I also don't love the packaging. The seal is huge, and mine was almost impossible to peel off. Parts of it are still on the bottle, getting gross and sticky. So annoying. HOWEVER I will deal with a crappy seal because I LOVE this foundation. I have been using it about a week now and it truly does the job. It stays on really well, and I love that my face doesn't go oily when I wear it. I had a Make-Up Forever and a EsteeLauder Double Wear sample in my drawer when I bought this. I was trying to decide between the other two foundations (croak- they are over $40.00 each!) because I was just struggling to find a foundation I was excited about. let me tell you- those others have nothing on this Revlon foundation. I rotated between the brands and literally, while the formulas may be different, the outcome is so similar, I can't see spending more than the 10 bucks on the Revlon. I will keep this on hand at all times, maybe occasionally I will splurge on a high end foundation if a sale hits (or I can use points for a deluxe sample) but for the day to day this is a winner. Heading out to get more this weekend!

Meh - I liked the idea of this for "fast" getting ready days, but it took longer to spread this out than a liquid foundation - so why bother? I tried a BB, brush, but fingers are all that worked in the end.It clings horribly to any dry spot that others have mentioned below (and I use Argan oil underneath!!)Love that it has an SPF, thought it would be great for travel. Coverage is too sheer (and I really swipe it on!!). And the real telling factor - when I wash off my make-up at the end of the day, there's hardly any Foundation on my washcloth - where did it go???

Revlon's Dark Pleasures line dates back to 2006 and it had four different polishes in. I'm reviewing this shade as it is still easy to find it on Amazon in in various eBay stores for very low prices.Talk Dirty is a deep brown shade, with a pearl finish that gives very subtle flashes of gold in selected lighting. Nowadays this is not a terribly unique shade (OPI has done a couple of brown pearls in holiday collections), but for the price [mine was £2] Talk Dirty is a great buy and is well worth picking up; it is fully opaque and smooth in one coat, it dries quickly, doesn't shrink or stain and it wears well. A great autumn/winter option to wear on it's own, or as a base for a shimmer topper [ILNP The Magician or one of China Glaze's gold shimmers look awesome paired with this].

I am loving this stuff! Ordered it off Amazon, have no other idea where to buy it. Really has conditioned my damaged, highlighted hair. I actually spray this lotion weight balm into my hands and rub it into my hair after washing itfor better distribution. Blow out and don't need to flat iron afterwards 'cause my hair is so smooth! Can't beat it for 10 bucks - better than any Kevin Murphy I've paid 35 bucks for!

I purchased two of these on sale.
First, to be clear, these are not matte. They are satin at best.
Second, they do not dry down. They're more akin to how a lip gloss performs, just with a different finish.
Third, they look patchy and uneven on their own. I am using them as toppers on lipliner or liquid lipstick to shift the colour or add a metallic sheen to it.
Overall, they're ok, but had I known they weren't true matte, I likely wouldn't have bought them.

I would choose this foundation over my EL Double Wear, YSL All Hours Foundation, Shiseido Syncroskin, MAC Prolongwear etch. I am not sure what kind of sorcery is in this bottle but it just works well with my skin.Skin Type: I have a combination/oily skin with textural problems i.e. box, pit and rolling scars and somewhat this foundation has managed to make it look so smooth and flawless. I am also on Retin A and Lactic Acid treatments.Shade: I am between an NC20 - 25 and 180 Sand beige is a perfect match me.Application: I only apply this foundation with a beauty sponge and it looks perfect.Primer: I use a combination of the Ordinary High Adherence Primer and L'Oreal Magic BaseSetting Powder: Too Faced Primed and Poreless PowderThis is an amazing foundation that beats every single high end products I own. If I were you, give it a try and see for yourself.Highly recommended. My HG foundation!

Coverage: Average at best. It doesn't really cover acne and red areas as well as I'd like.It covers moderately but not really the high coverage you would expect from a great concealer. You can still see redness peeking out. If you try to keep layering it up, it can get cakey. Consistency: Kind of on the dry side. It's still very blendable, but not perfectly creamy such as the Nars Creamy concealer (which I've also reviewed). Which is why it can start looking cakey when you layer it too much. I would imagine if used under the eyes, it might settle into lines. This is definitely better used for acne, but even for that, it doesn't do as great of a job. Packaging is a little unsanitary considering that it comes in stick form. I wipe it off every time I use it, but I still feel hesitant about it.

i bought this primer while i was at walgreens because i ran out of the high end primer i was using and didn’t feel like going all the way out to sephora. i have dry skin, but don’t breakout much and my skin in super sensitive. i did some web searches and decided on picking this one out. i bought it and brought it home and just tested it on the back of my hand. it smelled very strongly of chemicals but the texture was good so i used it the next morning. i applied this first and after i finished the rest of my makeup i noticed my eyes felt weird. scratchy and puffy. 3 hours later i could barely open my eyes and a rash appears on my left cheek. my skin texture is now terrible and my eyes still sore. i don’t know what caused my reaction, because i normally never have reactions like this. i highly recommend not purchasing this product.

bleh. this concealer really wasn't that great, didn't conceal even small pimples and left horrendous (im not sure what to call it) but halos? around pimples making them stand out even more. it also wouldn't last a full day and i ran out of product after about a month which i was very disappointed by as i expected it to last longer. the only reason i didn't give this a even worse rating is because it did not cause me to break out and it was decent for contour.

This foundation has been used by myself for many years although I use the British version I'm sure its the same formula. When first applying this foundation it glides on amazingly with a brush and beauty blender. I use the Smashbox primer oil underneath as my skin is fairly dry. Using and not using a base, powder or setting spray for this foundation in my opinion can make a big difference so I would definitely recommend wearing something under even if it's just a moisturizer as without it I find that it crease and look chalky very quickly. The coverage is amazing, colour matches my pale skin well and theres now a pump included in the packing which is super. The only thing I can fault is that it does crease quite quickly which can be a pain. Other than that for a first foundation or if you want to try something cheaper or new then go ahead!

If I could give this product no stars then I would. I'm currently sitting at home with the most painful lips EVER. I wore this at the weekend and have suffered ever since. When applied it was patchy and needed two coats after about 30 mins it started to peel and burn. Maybe I've had an allergic reaction to the product shame they don't provide testers. I absolutely love revlon make up and this is the first time this has happened was wondering if this has happened to any one else. I tried to complain today but was put through to an answer machine hopefully they will call back tomorrow. Please please test this product before you use it I'm paying the price for not doing so.

I have no complaints about the formulation of this product. It goes on smooth and creamy and has good staying power. However, the color is a bit unflattering on my pale, cool-toned, skin. On my complexion, it shows as a vivid red with coral undertones, and it looks like I just painted my lips with a brightly colored sharpie. However, that is not the lipstick's fault; it just wasn't the right shade of red for my skin. I shall stick with blue-reds from now on.
