Favorite mascara, have repurchased a bunch of times. It is lengthening, but not particularly volumizing so that may be something to keep in mind before buying.

I hate the wand of this mascara as I is made out of plastic and will hurt your eyes A LOT when you accidentially touch them with the wand. The formula is not very great for the price, it smudges easily and does not give you much volumne. Although the mascara does a good job at seperating your lashes and lengthening, it gives you a very natural look. However I have seen some better mascara at the drugstore as well as at that same price point. I will not repurchase and recommend this.

I don't normally post reviews, as I'm not a make up expert. But I had to say how much I hate this mascara. There, I said it. I hate the formula, the brush, it's the worst I've ever used. I bought it because everyone was raving about it. I don't get the hype AT ALL. Thankfully I bought it at a reduced price, but still... The horror...! Rant over. I don't need to add I won't repurchase...

Mascara -Lancme -Monsieur Big Volume Mascara

Its hard for me to fork out over $20 for mascara but if there is one brand I have tended to do that for over the years, it has been Lancôme. Most of their mascaras are very good and Monsieur Big is no exception. I find this mascara tend (like so many others) to be very wet when you first open it but given a bit of time it will dry up a bit and then does wonders for my lashes. It is volumizing and lengthening ( especially volumizing) and is my go to these days when I want as much of a lash look as I can get without going to false eyelashes. I still use my MAC Gigabyte for the lower lashes (absolutely HG for me) but find this one to be worth the money for my upper lashes. I do alternate this with a few drugstore mascaras ... it lasts me three to four months. Go for it!

Mascara -Lancme -Monsieur Big Volume Mascara

I rarely purchase full size, high end mascaras and this one made me pull out my wallet. I first discovered it as a sample and it works fabulously on my lashes. This works even better than the “Better Than Sex” mascara on me. I would have to say I really like that one as well, but this just has a next level oomph. Once I got through a few more mascara samples, I actually invested in this and don’t regret it a bit. People have even asked me if my lashes are my real lashes. Yup, no lash extensions here!

Other reviews mention clumping and I can totally see how this could clump up on people. What I recommend is working the product off at the base of your lashes (kinda wiggle back and forth) then bring it up the lash like a normal application. I use a lighter hand at the tips of my lashes because this stuff is hardcore. I rarely do two coats when I leave for the office, otherwise my mascara would be too much for daytime! But it’s great at night. Just be sure not to go too heavy handed because that’s when things can go clumpy. In my opinion, it’s nice to have to use less product because it means the tube lasts longer and does what other mascaras can’t do in one swipe. We’re all so used to that multiple coat layering of mascaras, I get why people might go heavy with this one.

I totally recommend!

This is one of only a few mascara that comes in Brown. That is a big plus for me as Brown is a more natural color.Have Not experienced clumping or irritation to eye area. Superhero IT is my HG mascara except it does Not come in Brown. However this is Not bad.

Moisturizers -Lancme -Hydra Zen Nuit

Although I don't usually use the Hydra Zen cream that I bought this time, for my skin, I was unable to find my normal one, which I have used for a long while, now. This being the Aqua fusion, which is more compatable with my skin type. The hydra Zen is good, but I find it a little too greasy, for my skin. I would still recommend it, though as all the Lancome products are well worth the money, it was just not compatable with my skin type, which is dry, but very sensitive. If you have the some skin type the aqua fusion is excellent, and smells gorgeous !!!!

Liquid -Lancme -Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24h Longwear SPF 15 Foundation

I was on the hunt for a good liquid foundation that would match my yellow undertones, not break me out ,not look cakey and ok for combination skin. I have relatively good skin so I am not trying to cover a lot of flaws. As I get older I need a good liquid foundation that will Not settle in lines. After trying Nars(too drying) which I usually love their products,Make Up Forever(too thick) and Fenty(too red) Lancome color 460W was suggested to me.As the make up artist applied it I did Not have high hopes. She sent me home with a 10 day sample.Sure it looked flawless in store under those "magical light" but the real test is natural light. It wore all day, no oxidizing,no oil,no break outs,no fragrance.I ended up purchasing a full size bottle within a week. This is medium coverage but buildable for those who desire full coverage. It is Not completely transfer proof but pretty good.It definitely did Not get in my clothes. However if you press your fingers hard enough on the skin and rub you will see a little make up.I will only wear this in cooler months as when its hot I prefer powder only. I have worn this alone and also with the MAC Mineralize Natural finish powder in Deep Golden. If you can get this when Macys has a Beauty coupon/sale or Ulta has coupon then its even better as this goes for $47 a bottle.Has a nice pump and worth every dime.

Lip Liners -Lancme -Le Lipstique - Ideal

on 12/2/2018 10:07:00 AM

I've been purchasing Lancôme Le Lipstique in Ideal for many years! Now, I buy three at a time, to keep one in my makeup bag, my vanity and one for back-up.
The application glide on is really good. The formulation is sort of waxy, which help the glide across your lips be so easy. The staying power is average, blends well with lipstick or gloss.
The packaging is fair and typical for a pencil with the other tip to supply a lipstick brush. It is made in Germany. Wet & Wild eye and lip pencils used to be made in Germany and they were just as good and probably made from the same manufacturer for Lancôme. Since the revamp of Wet & Wild, their pencils are made in China and the quality is poor.
Ideal shade is more rosy with brown undertone, less orange than MAC Spice lip pencil, lighter than CT Iconic Nude. Perfect contrast to nude lip, or with peach, pink lipstick. You really can't go wrong with this shade. The pencil doesn't dry out or crack.

I go through Ideal fairly quickly and it is almost fair to say that I make my purchases every two months, so Lancôme is making a lot of money from me.

This is a beautiful creamy foundation with a wide color selection. I wear 215n and I find that the slight peach tone gives my dry, aging skin a lift. I like this one almost as well as Estee Lauder perfectionist but the color range in Lancome is better than the EL, so I reach for this more often. This is just a bit too hydrating for me, whereas the EL is perfect in terms of texture, but I just blot this and use a touch of powder. if you have dry skin this is worth a try. Very smooth, very hydrating, lovely.

Lipstick -Lancme -Rouge Sensation - Crushed Rose

I bought this rosy color to wear as an everyday color. It’s a fairly neutral rose shade. I found that it doesn’t flatter my pale cool skin tones as much as I would like. Using different colored lip pencils make a difference to how well it looks. I think I tend to like a little brighter colors and this one is subtle enough for most people’s taste.

I remember when this was released in the early 2000's. This was the first "grown up" perfume I received when I was in middle school. I feel like it has a 00's factor to it but that might only be because it reminds me of that time. Still love the scent and it has great lasting power.

I cannot say enough good things about this perfume.

I have literally had people CHASE me down to tell me how good I smell and ask what I'm wearing. I've been chased down in Walmart, chased down while crossing the street etc... and I'm not exaggerating. I've even had clients ask me what I'm wearing so they can buy it for their wives/girlfriends.

Of course, every scent smells different on every person but on me, this is what I have been re purchasing for many many many years and will continue to do so.

Blush -Lancme -Blush Subtil Shimmer Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush - Mocha Havana

I'm surprised to be writing the first review for this outstanding product. It's a brownish-pink blush with fine shimmer that is visible in the pan but not on my face. What a great color. It's a warmish, natural shade that is buildable for more drama, or can be applied with a light hand for a more natural, but enhanced look. Cannot say enough about this blush.
I admire the way Joanna Gaines looks on Fixer Upper and on a spur-of-the-moment inspiration, decided to search for info about her makeup products.
It was simple to track them down because, she, very generously, has shared the names of all of it. I could not wait to try the blush, which, truly is beautiful. I've paired it with MAC, Fabby lipstick---but I'm sure many shades would work, including the one she listed, which is another pale, natural shade. I'm much paler than Joanna Gaines is---but Mocha Havana is equally effective on me. This would work well for Soft Summers and probably for Soft Autumns, for those who follow seasonal color analysis.

Concealers -Lancme -Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer

I bought this because Angie from Hot and Flashy says it's her HG concealer. It cost about $30, which is a lot, but the tube is fairly large and should last a long time. I have the shade 110 Ivoire, which is a good match for my super pale, pink toned complexion. It is thick and opaque. You only need a small amount and it can get cakey if you apply too much. I use only under eyes and a dot on either side of my nose where I have redness. For my eyes I apply with a small brush over a color corrector and pat in with a beauty blender. It creases a bit after several minutes but I tap on a tiny amount of jojoba oil and that smoothes everything out. Seems to have good lasting power. Definitely one of my go to concealers after trying SO MANY.
