Fragrances -Avon -Free O2

It's a lovely, light, clean scent. Reminds me of a perfect spring or summer day, whether you're at the beach, the desert, out running errands, meeting up with friends for lunch, or just hanging around the house. Especially great when you just step out of the shower. It's very soft and light, you never have to worry about wearing it around those who can't stand perfumes. I always stock up when it's on sale (sometimes priced as low as $8.99 a bottle) I don't usually like "cheap" perfumes, but this one just smells so great, if it was priced higher, I would still purchase. Can't go wrong with this! Perfect for all ages.

Fragrances -Jo Malone -Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne

on 4/20/2019 4:57:00 PM

The first time I smelled Mimosa & Cardamom I knew I needed a bottle. It's such a pleasant fragrance. It reminds me a bit of "Lei" by Emporio Armani (also known as "She") or even Victoria Secret Dream Angels Heavenly. This is just very soft and feminine. It's definitely what it says it is- mimosa and cardamom, balanced together and done softly. There's nothing gourmand, there's no patchouli or woods, there's no fruit. It's very, very lightly green and earthy because it IS floral and herbal in nature, but really it's just a soft floral.

You might like Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom if you like Emporio Armani Lei/She, Victoria Secret Dream Angels Heavenly, Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline, Dior Pure Poison, or Bath and Body Works Twilight Woods.

Like most Jo Malones, this has very soft sillage and longevity. It's not even strong on fabrics/clothes. I've even tried to make it last longer by spraying it on the inside of my elbows, but it's still fleeting. If you work in an office environment where coworkers constantly complain about fragrances, then you might want to try this. It could offend only the most passionate of perfume-haters.

Treatments (Face) -Deciem -The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5

on 4/20/2019 4:48:00 PM

For me this is just OK. It has a lightweight texture which gets absorbed quickly and gives me enough moisture. I don't like that after it dries it feels sticky (so you should follow with another moisturiser) - this is also why I don't use it under makeup. It offers good value for the money, though.

Foundations -Giorgio Armani -Power Fabric Foundation

on 4/20/2019 4:44:00 PM

Hmmm.....where do I start? Well, the initial application wasn't good. It seemed to dry quickly and I really had to use more product than I usually like, in order to cover my entire face. The coverage wasn't what I expected from a high end product, as it didn't cover my redness. It settled into my pores and was a bit cakey around my nose. As the day wore on, I got very oily in my T zone and it was fading off my chin and nose. For the price, I expect miracles from a foundation or at least to last a few hours. This product was a let down.

Treatments (Face) -Unlisted Brand -Sebiaclear Active

on 4/20/2019 4:42:00 PM

I used other products from SVR Sebiaclear range and I was happy with them so I had high hopes from this product. At first, the product seems OK: light texture, slightly fresh scent (which goes away quickly - so this is not a problem). However, after it dries it left my skin matte and it peels off like a mask - or like a residue not sure how to explain this. Not to mention that you cannot follow up with other products like moisturiser as they will peel off together. I also tried it as makeup base, but my foundation simply did not apply well. I have normal-combo skin with several blemishes. Maybe this is for (very) oily skin.

Treatments (Eye) -CLARINS -Eye Contour Gel

It's a lightweight gel that doesn't really do much for my underye area. Haven't noticed any difference since I started using this.

Fragrance -Dior -Poison Girl Unexpected Eau de Toilette

on 4/20/2019 4:06:00 PM

I want to give Poison Girl Unexpected a shout out as, despite what the name suggests, I think that this perfume is a lovely, more adult, gourmand fragrance suited for those of us in the 25+ crowd; it has a smooth base of a comforting nutty/vanilla warmth, that is intertwined with lingering sweet citrus notes that tone down the sweetness a bit. The heart of the fragrance is centered around a timeless powdered floral mix of rose, and what I think is orange blossom, and possibly magnolia. The star of the fragrance is the ginger note, that accompanies the citrus notes and adds some 'fizz' throughout the fragrance's wear-time on skin.

I have Poison Girl Unexpected in the edt version, but it has an excellent longevity [9+ hours] that almost matches that of my Poison Girl edp, so it is a fantastic money-saver to go straight for the edt versions for this brand since the ingredient quality is top notch.

Official scent notes: ginger, lemon, blood orange, Damask rose. tonka bean, hazelnut and vanilla.

Poison Girl Unexpected unsurprisingly smells similar to Poison Girl; but the new ginger note gives the fragrance energy which is lacking in the original edition, plus Unexpected is lighter on the rose and more bite on the citrus. I enjoy Poison Girl, but I'm loving Unexpected and will be rebuying this over the original one, as it just has more personality and zing and is suitable to wear all year round, whereas I found the rose notes in the original Poison Girl too intense for warmer weather. In addition to Poison Girl, I think Unexpected is also is a bit reminiscent to the Black Opium edt edition, but it doesn't remind me of Princess in the slightest (I own it, so can compare them).

Blush -Buxom -Wanderlust Primer Infused Blush

on 4/20/2019 3:41:00 PM

This is a good product, although it did not work for me. I like Buxom products in general, and when I saw that they'd introduced a cream blush, I went for it. I purchased Dolly, which is described as "absolute mauve." It comes in a pretty perfectly sized flip-top compact with a clear top, so it's easy to get a brush or finger into it and to see the shade when it's in your drawer/bag/etc. The texture is quite dry, but not too dry to pick up and blend easily. It has no shimmer, but it does look a bit glowy on the skin. But the smell. It's loaded with some fake coconut odor (it's pretty high on the ingredient list--click the "Ingredients" link above to see it) that about knocked me over when I opened the compact. And it lingers. Even though wearing it on my cheeks (not near my nose), I could smell it the entire time I had it on. (It's headache inducing, so beware.) It applies very easily and looks smooth on the skin as Buxom claims, and the wear time is great. But the color. "Absolute mauve" is "absolute orange" on me. I know BM/Buxom shades run warm, but this was straight-up orange--on my hand and over foundation. So, if you're looking for a C2P formula (this is C2P but improved) that has some staying power (I think even people with oily skin would like this), you'll like this. However, if you're sensitive to odors (like really cheap, strong perfume) and need a cool blush shade, give this a big pass (and a wide berth so you won't smell it). A good product, but a real loser for me. I will return Dolly and would not repurchase.

Sunscreen -BIODERMA -Photoderm MAX Lait SPF 50 PPD 42

on 4/20/2019 3:28:00 PM

I love that it has a very high protection (UVB 50+ and UVA/PPD 42). The ingredients list is perfect, no alcohol, no fragrance or any irritating ingredients. The texture is like the name of the product. It is milky, liquidy-lotion type. You have to be careful when pouring it out of the tube as it comes out quickly. It sets into a dewy sheen, so it's not matte. You would need to powder it or blot away some shine, as it can look greasy a bit. However I wouldn't mind that if I were at the beach etc. But for everyday situations, going to work etc, it can make you look "shiny-dewy" a little bit too much. Not flattering. It is also sticky/tacky when it sets. It was easy to wash off with a gentle cleanser.

On their website they say it is recommended for normal to dry skin type. I have combination skin that can get dehydrated and I can still use it. I agree that it wouldn't suit combo-oily/oily/very oily skin type as it can be a little bit too heavy/greasy. The thing is, it's not that moisturizing, I still have dry spots, but it's not drying either or making my skin feel tight/flake. I think during the very cold winter time, I would need to moisturizer before as it will cling to dry spots and make them more noticeable, which brings me to the next problem of this sunscreen.

The biggest problem for me was the white cast and how it clings to dry spots/hair line/eyebrows if you don't blend it in well. I can find a solution for the greasy/shiny problem but not the white cast (plus I don't wear makeup). Yes, when you spread the lotion it goes on white and blends in without a white cast, however it's not perfect. I could still see some white streaks where I didn't blend well. And if you use the recommended amount of sunscreen, the white cast/white streaks is extremely noticeable but less than what a mineral sunscreen can do. This sunscreen is recommended for fair to very fair skin on their website, so it's no wonder that I have this problem. I still think it's a good chemical sunscreen for a high protection without irritating my sensitive skin or burning/stinging my eyes. No reaction, like a rash etc. I would definitely use it if I'm going on a trip where I would be spending lots of time in the sun and where I wouldn't bother about a sunscreen that is not really cosmetically elegant. Sadly, not for everyday uses and not recommended for darker skin tone, but it could work for you if you have very fair skin tone that is not too oily.

Moisturizers -Aveeno -Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30

on 4/20/2019 3:20:00 PM

A reliable moisturizer for months and months. I liked the light scent and consistency, though I don’t think I ever noticed a difference in my skin’s brightness in all that time. It did get somewhat slippery if I put on too much, but did not seem to affect the makeup I put over it. Won’t repurchase because a) not cruelty-free, and b) I think they only ought to put out an SPF 50 option for fair-skinned folks.
