Fragrances -Coty -Jovan Island Gardenia

Cheap; smells gorgeous on; I even love the retro-tacky bottle. Creamy, addictive gardenia! I just wish it would last more than 2 hours on me. And I only care because I really love it.

Top/Base Coats -Seche -Dry Fast Top Coat

Once again, I have no complaints about Seche. My nails look amazing eversince I started using Seche base coat and top coat. I no longer have to go to the nail salon to get my nails looking immaculate and super shiny. In the past I only used Revlon base coat and top coat and that was a pain in the butt... my nails took forever to dry, there was no shine, there was smudging, etc. I enjoy doing my own nails now. The top coat tends to thicken quickly, but nail polish thinner fixes it up.

Loose Powders -Fenty Beauty by Rihanna -Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder

on 4/23/2019 2:59:00 PM

Sephora was giving this setting powder free with purchase. I was excited to try this from all the rave reviews. I selected the color Butter. It is a generous free sample. The container is pretty and I like the lid which means application easy.

The scent of the product reminds me of Johnson and Johnson baby powder. The color Butter is a light yellowish color which is perfect for my skintone. This is a finely milled powder and no white cast with flash photography.

This does slightly burn my face when first applied, then goes away, but returns when my natural oils come out. This does not keep me matte all day. At 5 hours, my face is oily and shiny and desperately needs to be blotted. This settles into fine lines under eyes and my laugh lines. It is not very flattering.

After removing my makeup at the end of the day, my eyes and cheeks are irritated. It took 3 days for my skin to recover.

I will not be purchasing this powder. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores pressed does better job on my under eyes and enlarged pores on my cheeks. Too Faced peach perfect powder on the rest of the face is better at keeping me matte.

Polishes -ZOYA -Professional Lacquer - Normani

on 4/23/2019 2:54:00 PM

Beautiful! Zoya's Normani is a rich shade of cocoa-taupe with grayish-purple tinge. Dries to a lovely creamy finish. Very flattering. Shade-wise, it's a paler version of China Glaze's Foie Gras. If you're a fan of that one, then Normani will be worth checking out.

Great Zoya formula too. Opaque in two coats and no problems with application or wear.

I just love how it looks on my nails and I would definitely buy this one again.

Skincare - Face -Mad Hippie -Antioxidant Facial Oil

Started using this product a few days ago. I generally use Acure Seriously Glowing Serum. However, as I am using MH Vitamin Serum, MH Exfoliating Serum and MH Hydrating Nutrient Face Mist; this Mad Hippie Antioxidant Serum seem like a great addition.

MH Antioxidant Facial oil is NOT heavy or oily in spite of being heavily oil based (argan oil, pomegranate oil and safflower oil). Those oils have a reputation for being helpful to oily/acne prone skin by providing balance to sebum production. I wasn't worried about them making me break out. However, I was a little skeptical about the fruit extracts. Wasn't sure how my skin would react to them.

One thing I can say is that this facial oil is very quick to absorb. Just a couple drops for my face and it makes my skin baby soft and glowy, without any residue left behind. I put it on last night, before my Roc Deep Wrinkle night cream... was very pleased that my acne had reduced along with redness. It also helped fill in where my acne had healed, then dried to the point of flaking. All of the fruit extracts in this facial oil REALLY help with that. This product leaves my skin glowier than the Vitamin C Serum even. I tried combining the two today with some Organic Aloe Vera. My face feels supernaturally soft.

Will definitely buy again!! Seems like this bottle will last a really long time, though. I feel like Mad Hippie could easily sell this Facial Oil for far more. It delivers more like a product that would cost $100. Very impressive,

Tip: I find that this facial oil absorbs best on damp skin. Use on your freshly washed face and/or combine with Vitamin C Serum and Organic Aloe Vera.

Top/Base Coats -Seche -Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat

No complaints about this product. I would give it more than 5 lippies if I could. Does what it's supposed to do. No chipping whatsoever. My nails have never looked so good.

If I could give this product negative five stars I would!!

The first ingredient in this product is BUTANE.

Please be careful when using this.

Fragrances -Giorgio Armani -Si Eau de Parfum

It's funny how you can dismiss something the first time around and then end up in love with it! I was at Sephora last year and was browsing fragrances when I came across Si and thought I'd give it a try as it's been heavily advertised for a long time now. Smelling it from the bottle I didn't like it much if at all, yet later that week I caught the most gorgeous scent coming from a lady walking past me in a store and I just had to go after her and ask what that was! I was amazed when she told me it was G.A Si! Went back to Sephora and this time made sure to spritz some on my wrist rather than dismiss it downright from the tester bottle. And what a difference that made...a yummy, almost gourmand fragrance that reminds me aplenty of YSL's Black Opium. The opening note is cassis and a strong wine note like a freshly opened Rioja and then very shortly after that I get vanilla, spice, patchouli, berries. The patchouli in particular is a very dominant note so you'd probably have to be a fan of it to like this. The dry down is a powdery, woody/earthy scent which is sweet but not overly so. A perfect fall or winter fragrance, I haven't touched my bottle since the start of the year. Wearing this always gets me compliments, just be aware that the silage is not so great whilst the longevity more than makes up for it - I get around 6 hours or more.

Dry Shampoo -Living Proof -Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

on 4/23/2019 1:43:00 PM

Amazing how the same product can work so differently for people! I refused to spend so much money on a dry shampoo and always restocked on Batiste. It worked, but it didn’t amaze me. It sucked up maybe 75% of the oiliness after using a lot of the product. Then the next day my hair would be super oily. Since that was one of the first and only dry shampoos I ever used, I assumed that’s what they were all like because of how everyone raves about Batiste. This stuff blows THAT out of the water (in my opinion). I can legit do a few spritz of the Living Proof and 100% my oil is gone. Then the next day, sometimes I won’t even have to reapply the product. The only con I could see myself having is that because it’s so good at picking up my oils, my hair does feel drier than normal. However, this isn’t a deal breaker to me and I use a deep conditioning product to counter act. I think I wash my hair once a week now (sometimes twice if something big is going on), when before it was every other night. Love love love and will repurchase.
