The original Roux Fanci-Full Color Styling Mousse was FANTASTIC! Roux has recently reformulated the mousse and dropped several wonderful colors. The original formula was the BEST overall mousse I have ever used to give my hair body and oomph. A couple colors they dropped were Hidden Honey and Spun Sand. I used these to tone the brassiness from permanent hair color. Roux, please bring back original formula which I have used for 30+ years.

The formula for Roux Fanci Full Color Mousse has been changed! I could tell immediately the new product didn't add the body and texture to my hair that I've come to expect and love for 40 years. I compared the new can to a can I've had a couple years and sure enough the ingredients are totally different. Roux has also dropped several colors which in my opinion is another huge mistake. I will be returning this can and starting a new search.

Growing up I watched my mother and grandmothers using Fanci-Full. Honestly, I always thought Fanci-Full was for grannies. Which now I can say because I am one! I've been coloring my hair for 30 years and am tired of the process. So I purchased both the moose and liquid #18-Sand Spun to see what the fuss was all about and wow! The moose makes my hair heavier as if you used a little too much moose in styling your hair. The plus side of the moose is your hair stays perfect all day. The liquid is a little messier but makes my hair amazingly soft and shiny. My hair is about 1/3 white and 2/3'rd old blonde hair color and Sand Spun blends it beautifully.

I thought this was fantastic at first. This being the first lash tint I tried on top of the fact that I have blonde lashes. Basically anything was better than nothing. I noticed it was frequently used in salons that offered lash tints as well, so figured it must be the best available. I purchased it myself from Sally Beauty for about $40.00, which includes two levels of brown or black and a tint remover. This includes many uses, so it's far and away cheaper and more convenient than going to a salon every few weeks. Jar packaging is horrible and will spill and stain everything. A jar with plastic cap that would moderate the flow would be much better. Anyway, the color is not vibrant (I've tried the black and brown) and it fades quite quickly (2 weeks). But I thought that was my only option, so I was still happy to have some lash pigment. Then I discovered Intensive Lash & Brow Tint. 100x better. Deep, lasting color, a variety of shades, a proper developer. Intensive is somewhat more expensive, but totally worth it if you have blonde lashes (I suggest getting Deep Brown) I like the Roux tint remover better for getting stains off the skin, that's about it. Will not repurchase.

Former HG, pretty sure they reformulated this. Used to be (circa 2010) the only thing that made my bleached mess of hair into something presentable. They overhauled the (admittedly low rent/old-fashioned) scent and packaging but seem to have also changed the formula into something much milder and not particularly effective. Used to be the perfect thing for keeping very damaged hair at the proper pH, protein and moisture levels while still being appropriate for daily use. I haven't found a replacement. Aphogee and Joico are okay but easier to overdo and they aren't nearly as magical as the old formula Porosity Control.
