I started getting a lot of annoying adult/hormonal acne on my chin area last year when I had a mc. I didn't have acne problem in my teenage year until now. I tried a lot OTC acne gels/creams, Kate Somerville's Eradicate acne solution, Eve Lom's Rescue Mask etc. while they would help with the breakout from time to time, they couldn't keep my chin clear from new and old breakouts, also they dried out my skin. This made the skin on my chin area even worse, while concealer/makeup can cover the acne and breakouts, but the dry skin would cause my makeup to look extremely flaky and unpleasant. The acnes were usually under the skin bumps, often red and painful. Takes a loooong time to go away. I stumbled upon a blog that said the Anti-cyst acne solution from Renee Rouleau worked really well for their cystic acne. I bought one and was hoping it would clear my acne. It did help some of the bad acnes, if i apply the solution early in the stage. Overall it didn't dry out my skin which I thought was great. But the acnes are not completely gone yet, and I wanted to have a systematic acne fighting regime to make my chin acnes go away.I decided to try the Rapid Response Detox Mask. I apply the mask daily on my chin area after shower and cleaned my face. I use just enough to leave a thin layer over my chin. I wipe it off with a wet cotton pad after leaving it on for 15 to 20 minutes, sometimes longer. I have been using the Mask for about 3 weeks now, and my chin area no longer gets new breakouts, and the old acnes that were still active are now fading away or gone. I used to get new breakouts ALL THE TIME no matter how many benzoyl peroxide or Sulfur acne solution I apply on my chin. But since I started using the Detox mask on a daily basis, I no longer get the new breakouts! What I love about it is that it doesn't dry out my skin AT ALL, and it has all the acne fighting ingredients to help make your skin clear! If you have tried everything and nothing worked, I would definitely recommend giving the Detox mask a try + the Anti-cyst solution from Renee Rouleau. Yes they are pricy, but I think they are worth it since they did work really well for me.

This is the first time in my life I've ever had a bad reaction to a skincare product. I'm super acne-prone but don't have stereotypically sensitive skin--nothing makes me rashy or irritated or anything. I also don't have any allergies. And trust me, I have tried aaa looooottt of different skincare products as a part-time esthetician. This gave me an immediate red rash? I tried it a couple of times, on bare skin and as part of my routine, to try to control for variables. Really weird. It seems HEAVILY fragranced so maybe that was it. They also don't take returns, only offer credit, which is annoying when a product gives you a visible reaction.

Oh, no. I'm not a fan of celebrity-created brands to begin with, but here's a completely honest review from as unbiased a party you can get. This product amounts to a nicely textured, albeit minimalist moisturizer - at best. For the current price of $47.50 I'll break down exactly what you're getting without the flowery language. Water and an ester of lactic acid (no exfoliation properties to this though) which dissolve the methyl gluceth-20 (a decent moisturizer if used sufficiently). The rest is fast-drying alcohol (bad), pH buffers (standard), texturizers (fine if you enjoy the texture of this) and preservatives (fine). It's not that this product will ruin your skin. It's what it won't do, which is anything. There's nothing here. Water, Methyl Gluceth-20, Ethyl Lactate, Ethyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Citrate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin
