Concealers -RIMMEL -Match Perfection Concealer [DISCONTINUED]

The Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer has gotten into a new packaging from what I can tell but I’m not a 100% if the formula has changed as I never got the chance to try the old one…

Anyway, my thoughts are based on the new one (:

I guess the packaging is kind of the same as it comes in a tube with a brush applicator where you squeeze out the product and it is getting between the bristles.

First the shade range isn’t amazing as I’m in 010 Porchalain and this is the lightest shade that you can get…if your skin is lighter than mine, the concealer will probably be too dark for you…

Second, if you apply it for example under your eyes, you’ll think that the coverage must be stunning as it has a weird texture and it’s quite thick…but then you blend it into the skin and the coverage is gone…

Third, it’s easy to apply with the applicator + it blends pretty good, but the feeling and finish of the concealer is just weird as it makes my skin looking strange underneath my eyes. As my skin would be too dry for that concealer and the finish of it is matte.

This isn’t a brightening concealer for sure! As it definitely hasn’t a neutral undertone, it’s either too pink or to orange/ yellow. -> It’s good for covering up dark circles.

So…I do not really recommend or buying this product again as I believe there are much better and abortable concealers on the market.

Loose Powders -RIMMEL -Match Perfection Silky Loose Face Powder

on 4/21/2019 6:38:00 PM

This is an average powder at a budget friendly price.

The oil control is poor, it highlights my pores (most notably on my nose) and it’s not as translucent as I had hoped. It has a slight pink tinge which does alter the colour of my foundation a touch. That said, it’s very finely milled and does not break me out which is a relief. It does have a fragrance but not enough to cause irritation - weirdly, I quite enjoy the smell.

Overall, I find this sits better on top of thicker/creamier foundations. The more watery/liquidy ones do tend to struggle somewhat with this in my experience.

Not for me, but at only £7 a tub (and more often than not, on an offer in Boots or Superdrug), this is not completely terrible.

Polishes -RIMMEL -Kate 15 Year Collection Supergel Nail Polish - Rock N Sparkle

on 4/14/2019 5:50:00 AM

Rock ‘N’ Sparkle is a red shimmer polish. I used 2 coats, but it could probably pass as a one-coater with a careful application. I really like it, but it does have very Christmassy feel to it.

Primer/ Corrector -RIMMEL -Stay Matte Primer

I really like this primer alot! I am a makeup junkie and although I use a few different primers, this one is my go to. I've used it with high end and drugstore foundations and it works beautifully with them all. It keeps the oils at bay in my T-zone and fills in my pores. My makeup lasts throughout the day and looks great. Best part is the price! You just can't go wrong.

Concealers -RIMMEL -Hide the Blemish

Product full of pore clogging ingredients, toxic parabens and non eco friendly products. Research the ingredients - it's disgusting! It's time we hold these cosmetic companies accountable!
