I mean, perhaps the ONLY perfume that doesn't really need this ''buy again or not'' part because on my relatively perfume hungry skin this is a blaaaaast...it goes on, and on, and on...it stays put from 7 am till midnight with the same oily strength, sillage and radiates like no man's business..it is a freakin masterpiece.. now onto the perfume... I've fallen in love with Isabeys Gardenia and that love stood against the tides of time..still standing and for me-never to be broken or denied...i just love creamy, sweet, buterry, feminine gardenias...though Isabey nor Gardenia by Micallef isn't actually a gardenia au nature.. think about most feminine and erotic smell when a woman passes you by...and it is Micallef Gardenia... it is loaded with abnormal essences and oily components that you can actually see it when dabed or spritzed on the skin...it shines, it radiates...it is just gorgeous!! creamy gardeias, sweet and just sometimes over th top peach top note makes this perfume a sultry, feminine, alltime, all year round perfume...if you're on the quest for a HG perfume, this just may be it... no dirtyness,no staleness, no rotten or green aspects, no metallic and bloddy undertones...nothing dangerous...just pure plush pleasure... why did I even mention Isabey's Gardenia- because they are 99,9% the same, only that Micallef has a very sweet peachy note that can sometimes be too much...Isabey is all about flowers, and Micallef fruity flowers... other than that-if you manage to get a bargain for a 100 ml (like I did) it will LAST YOU A LIFETIME...GUARANTEED.. perfect, timeless and very, very sexy in a most innocent way... Arwen, this is your perfume for sure!

Akowa

"Bergamot, orange flowers, secret ingredient, fig leaves, cacao, vanilla, patchouli, vetiver, amber, white musk." Every note in this sounded amazing to me (cocoa, vanilla, patchouli, amber, orange flower = YES), and I loved the ad campaigns & the bottle for this scent, but the fragrance is rather strange and turns my stomach at times. I also can't really pick out most of the listed notes. Akowa goes on like patchouli burnt into heavy ashes, a hint of sappy, green pine, and a weird sweetness that reminds me of maple syrup. I also smell something like a dry, not-too-sweet, dark, Ceylon type cinnamon throughout the life of the fragrance, dusted over everything. The drydown of this smells very much like pot smoke, ashes and cinnamon on me. It's very headshoppy - sour marijuana smoke, incense ash and cinnamon. Dark, ashy, weirdly green, sweetish. Hard to wrap my head around, and not really a good smell on my skin. I feel like this might smell amazing on the right person (not myself, obviously), and it is very strong and has great throw and longevity.

Note Vanillee

"Mandarin, jasmine, honey, licorice, sandalwood, vanilla, cognac, rum." I love vanilla fragrances (with Indult's Tihota, Atelier's Vanille Insensee, and Solstice Scents' Estate Vanilla being my HG vanillas), but this one doesn't work on my skin at all. I think it's the honey and jasmine going all wrong on me, but something in this smells strongly of sour BO, and that sweaty impression never fades away. The vanilla itself isn't really as rich and creamy as I like my vanillas either. It's more of a sharp, musky vanilla. After 3 hours of wear, Note Vanillee was a scrubber for me.
