4-in-1 Love Your Selfie Longwear Foundation and Concealer

When Pur initially released this foundation, the most exciting aspect of it was the 100 shades. I know there was a bit of drama surrounding the number of shades (to my surprise!) but I'm happy to say I DID find my perfect match in this foundation. My skin: I have dry skin that is prone to acne, light skin with a bit of an olive undertone. My best shade match is Koh Gen Do's 213, but I can pull off warm/neutral shades including Tarte Light Sand, Catrice 030 Sand Beige, and Estee Lauder Doublewear in 2N1. Mac's NC20 serves as a good starting point for me but runs too warm to be a perfect match. My shade (LG6): I was a bit floored by how well this matched my skin! I don't like taking my foundation all the way down my neck (prefer to find a good match so I don't need to!) - with this shade, there was no &quot;foundation line&quot;. Coverage: INCREDIBLE. This is a very full coverage foundation, and I absolutely did not need additional concealer to hide my acne scars. Finish: While this is a thick foundation, it's also surprisingly light in texture. It doesn't seem to completely dry down (this is a good thing for me, you'll see in the next section). I'd call this &quot;demi matte&quot; and think it's actually quite flattering even on my dry skin. Wear: This is where the foundation didn't excel for me. While it looks beautiful for 4-5 hours, around the 5 hour mark, it starts to look a bit rough where my skin is more dry. That said, I find that I am able to smooth it out and extend the wear to 8 hours - but I consistently find that I need to touch up here. Still, I do appreciate that I CAN touch up - I've used some foundations that wipe away rather than &quot;readjust&quot; (hopefully you understand what I'm talking about here!) The most unflattering part of my face was where I have slight &quot;11&quot; lines - in all truth, this foundation does emphasize those by the end of the day. BUT - most foundations do, sadly, and especially full coverage. Would I recommend it: in terms of shade matching, BIG YES. For full coverage, yes. For dry/mature skin - it's a maybe. I do think Double Wear or Bobbi Brown Longwear is better in this aspect. But it's also not bad. The trick is to catch the foundation before it starts migrating into fine lines. If you gently smudge it out and touch up with powder, you can easily get 10 hours of wear (again, even on dry skin!) I ultimately like it and can see myself repurchasing, provided I am mindful about that touch up phase. Hopefully this review is helpful. Please note I was sent this for review purposes but this is my 100% honest opinion and not a sponsored review! To see this foundation applied/swatched against others in my collection: <object onclick="ga('send', {hitType: 'event',eventCategory: 'Ajax Interaction',eventAction: 'PlayVideo',eventLabel: ''});" width="360" height="320"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/0IzP1sWTCf8"><param name="wmode" value="transparent"><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/0IzP1sWTCf8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="360" height="320"></object> (skip to the 8 minute mark for application/comparisons, and feel free to comment if you need me to swatch it against other foundations - I consider myself a foundation junkie above all other makeup types!)

Miracle Mist Hydrate & Set

I really enjoy the Pur Cosmetics makeup removing oil and I decided to give this setting spray a try. Normally setting sprays burn my face. Smashbox primer water is the first, this is the two setting spray that agrees with my skin. A little goes a long way. First let me start by saying this sprayer is fast and strong. You really need to extend your arm, spray, and then quickly move your face forward to get the product on the face. I was originally too close and then comes out so fast and with a pow, I was drenched. I need to move this product into my Smashbox sprayer. I am oily skin and when this is used as a setting spray on me, my foundation starts to look cakey and separate by 6 hours. I applied it over my Smashbox primer and then applied foundation and it again made my skin cakey and foundation separate at 6 hours. When was going to return this since I was hating this product so bad. Then I applied this right before my Smashbox primer. I let it set and completely dry for 10 minutes. Then added Smashbox and then foundation. This gave my skin an amazing glow! WOW! Foundation did not break down and just beautiful.

My favorite oil for removing makeup is Burt's Bees. That stuff is amazing. I was running out of the product and was going to repurchase when I saw this Pur oil on sale at Kohl's for $9.60. I grabbed it up to try. This is a much thicker consistency than Burt's Bees, but for the price it is an excellent deal. I ordered two more bottles online Since this is a thick formula, it is a bit more work to remove foundation. The photo is a pump, this newer bottle is like a shampoo bottle. I will cup my hand and add roughly teaspoon into my hand, press both hands together to disperse the product. Then apply to my face and then in circular motions rub product onto face and then eyes. My foundation and mascara are waterproof and it takes some patience to get the oil to breakdown the products on my face. I will then jump into the shower and wash my face with soap and then use an Olay daily facial to remove the rest of the mascara and foundation.. There is always something leftover. I completed one bottle and working on the second bottle. I noticed that the first bottle leaks and thought it was just the bottle, nope, the second bottle leaks too. There is something about the container that no matter what product pools under the bottle. Be mindful of your storage location.
