Essential Hydrating Oil

I got this in a subscription box and finally decided to give it a try. I use oils in my skincare routine (rosehip, argan, squalane) so I had no concerns about using oil on my face. I used this last night before bed and woke up with pimples on my cheek and nose. I never break out. Never, ever. Never, ever, ever. I checked the ingredient list and there are so many essential oils in here that any one of them could have caused my breakout. In any event, into the trash it goes. At least I didn't pay full price. Ingredient List *Macadamia Ternifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil, *Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Thuja Occidentalis (Cedar Leaf) Oil, *Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Flower Oil, *Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, *Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) *ORGANIC INGREDIENT

I received a full-sized bottle of this in a FabFitFun box some time ago. The glass bottle is very simple yet elegant and has a nice weight to it. You do have to shake the bottle the first time you use it so that you mix everything together--otherwise the first few squirts are very watery. I very much wanted to like this. it has a really nice, clean, light scent that reminds me of cucumbers. Very fresh-smelling and not overwhelming at all. The cream itself is very light and absorbs easily. No stickiness or greasiness and goes well under makeup. For oily-skin individuals, this makes a great moisturizer for regular use. For dry skin individuals, you will probably find this to be not moisturizing enough, especially in the wintertime. Unfortunately for myself, my skin doesn't like it. I rarely have any issues with skin products (I've used so many over the years without a problem and without any patch testing) but something in this cream makes my skin itchy and breaks it out. I tried it a few times the first time and got a red rash-like patch on my right cheek. I wasn't sure if it was this product so I waited 1-2 weeks until the patch faded, then tried it again. The next morning I had itchiness on various points of my face (cheeks, chin, forehead, above my lip) and few bumps. I'm attributing the problem to this cream because the rest of my routine has stayed the same. It's a shame because I really wanted to like it. It's $48 for 2 oz/60 mL so a bit pricy, but it is a vegan product after all. I am wary of the fact that there are very few preservatives in this product. From what I can see, there is only one: potassium sorbate. I know many don't like too many preservatives in their products but I personally prefer more preservatives because I like the reassurance that the product won't go bad too quickly. That being said, I wish OSEA would stamp the bottles with an expiry date and recommended shelf life so that their consumers will know how long they can use the product for.

so I've tried every type, brand, price of cleanser on the market to try and help with my congested, blackhead prone skin - and this is the only thing that actually manages to clear out my pores - it's literally a miracle in a bottle. after going cruelty free and vegan I came across this brand and really didn't really expect much but hoped it would manage any blemishes I had, but it's hands down one of my holy grail cleansers out of the hundreds I've tried! it's expensive and yes the bottle can be a little inconvenient but it is worth it if it's going to keep whatever magic ingredient this has in it nice and fresh! love the ethics of the brand, love that this doesn't foam so doesn't strip my skin; but is a mud, so clarifies. it is so refreshing and minty feeling on the skin, but is very intense so tend to use it on a morning/ as a second cleanse rather than all the time as it is quite strong! it smells like minty, tea tree goodness and is quite a creamy, brown formula. I like to use it with my foreo luna mini 2 sometimes to give it that extra kick but it's brilliant either way. definitely a game changer, if you have congested skin that isn't too sensitive, definitely worth a try!!
