Shampoo -NIVEA -Micellar Shampoo

on 12/12/2018 3:59:00 AM

Micellar water for face-can't live without.
So,I wanted the micellar shampoo the second it appeared in the shops.
The packaging is clear with pink cap.I like it,but it's not travel-friendly.Something can press on it and you would end up washing other products than your hair.
I thought the product will be more like water, but it's thick, clear shampoo.
I felt the lack of silicone, but i had to put more product than usual to make foam and feel my hair clean.
After I blowdried my hair I felt it light.

Primer/ Corrector -NIVEA -Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer

on 12/6/2018 6:31:00 AM

I'm opening my second container of this tomorrow. My skin wants to be dry, but i look after it and it doesn't get dry patches, but it is ageing and it does tend to dry. This is a cheap and cheeful primer. I apply it after sunscreen (waiting about 10 mins for sunscreen to apply) then I do my eye makeup. Once my eye makeup is done, this product has settled into the skin and set. Then I can wear matte foundations and they don't cake and they look great. This is fantastic under drying foundations like the Maybelline Superstay and the L'Oreal Matte, it moisturises my skin so that the long lasting foundations don't get cakey or dry on my skin. I think the wait between when I apply this and when I apply moisturiser is the key to a good look with this. Its a good basic hydrating primer.

Sunscreen -NIVEA -SUN UV Face Shine Control Cream SPF 50

on 12/4/2018 5:20:00 PM

I was advised to try this SS during the heatwave we had in the UK, over the summer.

I was having trouble keeping SS on my face, due to how thick and greasy my Soltan SPF50 was and I couldn't find a simple, locally available , no Hyaulronic acid, no Niacinamide, low to no amounts of BG, no white cast, not super greasy and made in the EU, Sunscreen. It is like a unicorn.

Well this little beauty is all of that and a bag of chips. I would call it a lotion, rather than a cream, dries in under 10mins. It isn't as greasy as most dedicated SPF50's, however I think that is due to the amount of UVA filters, 4* instead of 5* (4* = 80-90% PF of the UVB - SPF so UVA: 40-45 PF).

It doesn't have many other all singing ingredients, such as amazing anti oxidants but it layers well for me. So I can add my anti-oxidants in serum form in the AM. It is easy to reapply, is sweat and water resistant. It didn't break up my full face powder foundation make-up, when I chose to where it, the SS layered nicely under the silicone primer. No piling for me.

It did sting my eyes if I applied to close, but a Sunscreen stick took care of that.

I took off 1/2 a lippy for just adequate packaging, it could be in a pump but the tube is secure and slim, so easy to carry around. The next 1/2 a lippy is for the light "Nivea" fragrance, it didn't cause me a rash in the hot/humid summer, however if I were to react to the lotion, I would have put money on fragrance being the cause.

However for the price £6.50 - £11. This has been the new SS breakthrough for me this year. I have used 4 tubes so far and now that it is winter, I am down to a different brand, thicker cream SPF30. However I already have a tube of this Nivea SS in the box ready to go for a holiday in Jan.

My skin type is easy to dehydrate, combination (leans oily in summer, dry in winter), sensitive, acne prone, PIH skin. Wooohooo.

Cleansers -NIVEA -Refreshing Cleansing Lotion

on 12/3/2018 2:52:00 AM

I've been using this off and on for many years. It reminds me of Neutrogena Extra Gentle cleansing lotion but I got on to this one because it is cheaper. It's under AUD$10 here. It does have that Nivea scent - which I don't mind and it is not bothersome on my sensitive skin. No issues with breakouts either and I am acne-prone. I mainly like using it as a morning cleanser in winter because it leaves a little moisture on my face and it rinses off with running water very well. I'm going to have to try this as a makeup remover now after seeing some positive reviews here on that issue. The packaging is attractive and practical. I'll keep buying it as long as Nivea make it!

Treatments (Eye) -NIVEA -Q10 Plus Wrinkle Control Eye Cream

on 12/1/2018 4:02:00 PM

A pretty decent little eye cream for the price. I certainly wouldn't say my wrinkles are gone, but they're slightly less noticeable. It moisturizes really well though, and I liked t for that. I also liked that the tube seemed to last me FOREVER. Seriously! I think I got a good 6 months out of this because you need so little. For that, it's well worth the value, and a re-purchase.
