Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost City Shield spf25

on 10/16/2018 6:24:00 AM

Neutrogena discontinued one of my favourite moisturisers, Neutrogena Multi Defence Daily Moisturiser SPF 15. I therefore decided to try the Hydroboost City Shield. This product is simply not moisturising enough for those of us in our 40s. Also, I find SPF 25 too irritating for every day use. Neutrogena, please bring back Multi Defence Daily Moisturiser.

Masks -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Overnight Gel Mask

I bought this on a whim becuase the cream based hydro mask was out of stock at my cvs. I have normal to dry skin leaning to extra dry in the cold. I used this after my cleansing treatment and let it dry down a bit before going to sleep. It goes on a bit tacky but not unbearable. It didnt make my face sticky during the night and has a nice smell. It says one use on the packet but you could probably get 2-3 uses out of it if you're not heavy handed (I wasn't). It does make my face feel nice while the skin is still damp and while on the face after dry down. When I rinsed it off the next morning came off easily without any struggle to get off any remaning residue. I dont think it does much for my face though. Not terrible but not knock my socks off either. It was about 4$ for a small mini sized mask so knid of pricey but you do get more than one use out of it. Didnt break me out but is not fragrance free (nor do i have sensitive skin) so if that matters to you beware! Not for me but not a bad experience only a little lackluster.

Cleansers -Neutrogena -Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes

I am currently pregnant and tired, and want to get my makeup off as quickly as possible at the end of the day, and these get everything off quickly and easily! These are nicely saturated, not overly dripping wet, but not too dry either. I actually cut them in half, to make a pack last twice as long. I usually wipe off any remaining residue with a towel, then I follow with some Pond's moisturizer, and my skin is happy using this simple routine. I already bought a back-up pack, but in the future, I may try the fragrance free version, as I am getting tired of the scent.

Foundations -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint

This is 100% a first impressions for this product - I literally only just put it on my face this morning, but WOW. I already know that unless this breaks me out (or the Physician's Formula Healthy Skin foundation acts the same as this on my skin when I test it....) I will totally be repurchasing.

I applied this on bare skin (no primer or even moisturizer) and after getting a bit used to how much product I needed per area (re-dipping the doe applicator over and over), I applied this with a damp sponge and just - WOW. I looked in the mirror and the way this sits on my skin is exactly how I wish all other foundations would perform. Like another reviewer mentioned, it's like it absorbs and becomes one with your skin, vs. sitting on top and leaving that "foundation" feeling. Mind you, this is a "tint" but I found it has more coverage than most lighter foundations I've tried --- so I think this has really good coverage. This is lightweight, creamy, moisturizing but not greasy at all, sinks into your skin but doesn't gather into lines (not even my deep forehead crease - which EVERYTHING gathers there!), isn't tacky -- just a great foundation.

I have combo skin, but dry from topical acne gel, and was afraid this would turn my skin into a greasy mess. I applied this at 7AM and it's now almost 2pm --- and I can say that my skin has gotten "dewy" but not excessively shiny like it does with regular foundations (outlast, true match..). I've been impressed enough to make sure I put out a review. Even with shine coming through, it's not heavy, tacky or greasy. I have clear skin, but did have a cyst breakout, and this covered the redness enough that you could still see I had something there, but not enough to draw attention to it. I was impressed. I also have melasma, and this gave me enough coverage that you could tell the darkness and redness was evened out. My shade is 40 - Nude, which I thought might be too dark for my NC15/20 skin (swatched and darkened on my arm) but applied to my face -- its' just right.

Unless this breaks my very reactive skin out (the ingredients have nothing comedogenic which is the main reason I wanted to finally try this) - I will for sure be buying more! 4 lippies because the applicator and dipping in continuously is silly. But this has been the foundation/BB/tinted moisturizer/light foundation I've been looking for.
