Gels/Soaps -Neutrogena -Body Clear Body Wash

Only a few body products I use help keep my chest and back free from acne and this is one of them. I don't tend to experience body acne during winter, it's more a 'summer' thing for me, coupled with trips to the gym and insufficient showers straight after (forgetting to use a cleanser!). Now when I hit the gym I keep a bottle of Clear body wash in my locker. It's a gentle non-drying SLS-free formula and comes in a 8.5 fl oz bottle which lasts me roughly 2-3 months at a time. It's perfumed and smells quite fresh and citrusy, though I'm not overly averse to perfume in bodycare (it's skincare where I try to avoid it). When I first started using this I would notice over the course of 1 week any bumps on my upper body would subside and the area would gradually clear out. In between bottles though, if I happened to run out they would slowly re-appear. I now try to make sure I have a spare in my closet or at least an alternative soap or wash that contains Salicylic acid (as this has) or Sulfur - both of which help take care of my body acne issues. A good value and effective product which I would recommend to anyone with mild acne on their body.

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine

This gloss is my HG lip product after only a few days. I have rose, coral, raspberry and mulberry. My lips are EXTREMELY dry and can’t handle anything but pure buttery moisture or they will shrivel beyond recognition. This product DOES something! Not only are the colors gorgeous, the formula thick, glossy/dewey, and fairly long lasting, but MY LIPS FEEL AMAZING. I even notice how great my lips feel when I haven’t been wearing it. They just feel plumper and moistured. TWO shades are MLBB. VIVA these lipglosses!

Hair Treatments -Neutrogena -Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask

I don’t know if they reformulated this based on past hair reviews, but this stuff impressed me so much I’m hopping on to rate it after my second use.

Normally, I need to test things out for a while before I even post an opinion. However, the day after using this there was a super bad rainstorm so humidity was high. Humidity poofs out my hair like crazy, but it didn’t happen this time!!! The only thing different with my hair routine was using this product. I have used other hair masks in the past and I didn’t see a huge difference in my hair (even on rainy days) so the fact I actually noticed something after first use is crazy to me.

I am excited to keep using it and if for whatever reason it becomes a disappoint I’ll be sure to hop on again for an update! Just as a reference I do have fine, wavy hair. Not sure how this would do on super thick or curly, but fingers crossed it’s a good experience for you too!

Moisturizers -Neutrogena -Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream

I purchased this to help clear up my congested skin from 5 weeks of traveling overseas. I have a history of reacting to most acids, such as salicylic, glycolic, aha, vitamin C, and hoped that retinal in lower percentage could be the HG formulation for me. My skin is combination sensitive and I have a long history of hydrocortisone cream use when needed. The hydrocortisone use may be at the root of my skin acid reactions.

I started off using it very sparingly all over my face one evening. Then sparingly again the next evening in just the problem areas. And the next. Well, no go -- I reacted in hives. I may try using it just once a week in problem areas (nose, chin, jawline) to see how that goes. But, I honestly don't have high hopes, and may end up ditching it.

Foundations -Neutrogena -Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint

This is my favorite foundation so far, in the winter at least. I have dry skin in the winter months and it moisturizes beautifully and makes my skin look smooth. Classic ivory matches me SO perfectly--way better than most foundations I have found-- and does not oxidize at all. The coverage is light, which is what I like because it feels like I have nothing on but still hides any redness. The only drawback is the doesn't feel like there is much in the bottle at all and the applicator (a wand that dips into the bottle) is hard to use and unsanitary.
