NYX is a cosmetics company founded in 1999 in Los Angeles by Toni Ko. Named after a Greek goddess, the company's first products were jumbo eye pencils sold to beauty professionals only. The cosmetics were marketed as "high-end quality meets drugstore prices".They expanded quickly and in 2014 Ko sold the company to L'Oreal. Brick and mortar NYX stores were introduced in 2016. NYX cosmetics are available worldwide, and they remain headquarted in Los Angeles, CA. (Source: Wikipedia)

Liquid -NYX Professional Makeup -Can't Stop Won't Stop Full Coverage Foundation

on 9/24/2018 2:52:00 PM

This foundation is as good as anything else out there. I am extremely glowy and dewy when I wear this. For the drier girls, or anyone wanting glow, a spritz of Mac Fix Plus with a dash of Tatcha Luminous Dew Mist and voila. You are glowy, dewy and poreless. It truly is amazing. I have worn with and without sunscreen under. Great either way.

The bad reviews probably come from the fact if you have dry skin, you must have a very good base to begin with. Like you can't prime. Or add layers of heavy thick cream. Charlottle Tilbury Magic pairs well as does other serums. Becca backlit primer is a good one too. And today I mixed a drop of oil inside.

This product needs no primer, like ELDW. And it's honestly flawless until bed. I do need to powder a little in T Zone before dinner.

The shades are good if you are not super porcelain.

Overall, this is what I am wearing until I find something better and worth my money. Because most is pure junk.

I have tried everything from La Mer, GA Silk, Mac, Dior, Natasha Denona, some various drugstore. Hope this helps!

Brows -NYX Professional Makeup -Micro Brow Pencil

For the price this pencil is 90% as good as the Sephora brand I usually buy at half the price. Will likely keep buying this brand because it’s easier to find and I’m a cheap bastard anymore.

Blush -NYX Professional Makeup -Powder Blush - Peach

I have trouble finding blushes since I'm just so pale and cool toned and look like an Oompa Loompa Clown with most. So I wouldn't expect a blush with the name "peach" to work with my blue undertones. That being said, this blush is clearly a really pretty doll/rosy pink. So whoever works for NYX's product naming department should reconsider their career. Despite the poor naming choice, this blush is great! The formula has just the right amount of pigmentation - a little goes a long way on my fair skin and I'm sure this will last several months since I just use a light hand every day and blend thoroughly.

Primer/ Corrector -NYX Professional Makeup -Dewy Finish Setting Spray

on 9/21/2018 7:45:00 PM

This setting spray transforms and melts my makeup together like no other drug store brand. Using this on my Super Shock Highlighters from Colourpop makes my skin look like glass! I spray it over a powdered face and it doesn't look too dewy, it's a flattering natural glow.

Cons: Doesn't really affect staying power and the nozzle could be better (more mist like and less Windex spray bottle)

Primer/ Corrector -NYX Professional Makeup -Studio Perfect Photo-loving Primer

This is my 1st time trying primer (I just turned 24 and am a late bloomer to the whole full face of makeup thing). I bought the clear one and found that it did a somewhat decent job of filling in my pores. I do think it could have been better though and will have to search for another drugstore primer with better reviews. I will buy again only if I don't find a better primer online.
