Tropical Fruit Enzyme Exfoliant Scrub

A combination physical & chemical scrub with a juicy tropical scent (pineapple and orange?) that makes it fun to use. Vegan and organic. The texture reminds me of Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula, and the ingredients list and the results I get are very similar. Very creamy and moisturising with enough scrubbies to be effective and gentle enough to be able to use everyday. Not harsh feeling. This also has the addition of extra chemical exfoliant enzymes, so you can leave it on after scrubbing as a mask while you shower. I find results similar to the Clinique in that I get lightly deflaked and smoothed skin, without feeling tight or stripped. Its not a super peel for a huge difference, rather it works gradually over several days so it can be used on older skin without removing too many layers. I won't buy again for two reasons. One is that the moisturising base gives me a few tiny whiteheads and blocked pores. I took a look at the ingredients and it is (same as for the Clinque) highly comedogenic on susceptible people. If you are older this may not be an issue and you can enjoy the moisture, but for acne prone I would say give this a miss. The second reason is that the scrubbies are very hard to rinse off as they stick to your skin like and any little peach fuzz hairs you have like glue. I have to spend several minutes in the shower vigorously rubbing away at my hairline and face to get the little grains off. Needless to say if this in the bath my body ends up covered with little grains and rinsing at the sink is useless as I just can't get them completely off my face.

Avocado and Mango Hydrating Facial Mask

I tried this years ago, when all of the YouTube beauty gurus were receiving Michael Todd stuff for free. While this has a really pleasant smell of mango, it didn't really do much... This is one of those occlusive masks, which didn't give me much hydration unless I left it overnight. When I left it on for that long, my face felt quite uncomfortable, as this is quite thick, and occlusive, as said before - it made my face sweat. You get a really generous amount of this, so it can last many, many uses, however: since this doesn't have that many preservatives, it went bad after some time. Maybe this can be stored in the refrigerator? Since this didn't do much for me and can't be stored for long, I see it more fitting thing for .e. a teenager that wants to have "grownup" products and has good skin that doesn't need much help. Lastly, I want t mention an unrelated issue to this specific product: I noticed many years ago than no negative reviews - in fact: no reviews below 4 star, and many of the 4 star ones even, are not published on the Michael Todd site. Sites like Ulta often put reviews from the Michael Todd site to put on their own site. So: the reviews for MT products on most sites are not fair - the average is waaaaaay inflated. At this point, MUA is the only sit where I have seen real reviews for the MT poducts

SonicSmoooth Sonic Dermaplaning System

I am in love with this little device! Best personal care tool that I have purchased so far this year. I had purchased a couple of other Michael Todd skin care tools and really liked them, the sonic eraser is a Godsend item for me. I had read about the dermaplaning tool and saw the good reviews on ULTA, so I ordered. The device is very easy to use, but I have a lot of experience with various skin care tools and had been dermaplaning previously. What I like most about this device, over others, is that you can use the blade multiple times before replacing, so you are really getting your money’s worth and not wasting a lot of blades. Regular use of this device increases the efficiency of my skin care products and allows my make-up to apply so much better. I typically use it once a week, on weekends, after I remove my make-up and wash my face. After I use it, I will rinse my face and pat dry and then apply serum and moisturizer or facial oil. I like it so much that I purchased one for a relative since I had been raving about its effectiveness. I have recommended to others and I will definitely repurchase if ever lost or the device quits working.
