Maybelline New York

The Maybelline Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker, fuller look. He adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called lash-in-brow-line. Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline, in honor of his sister Mabel, who gave him the idea. In 1917 the company produced Maybelline Cake Mascara, ""the first modern eye cosmetic for everyday use"" and Ultra Lash in the 1960s, which was the first mass-market automatic

Lipstick -Maybelline New York -color sensational in Crazy for Coffee

I do believe this a decent value for money lipstick. It does feel creamy and hydrating however, in my opinion it is not long lasting, plus the colour is not that vivid. It is very affordable though and I guess this makes up for the little flaws. You can find it for 3 pounds at fragrance direct. (

I would definitely go for the Superstay Matte Ink if I picked Maybelline it is equally low-priced and has a truly long lasting rich color!
My 2 favorite shades are 65 & 55 (

Powder -Maybelline New York -Fit Me! Set + Smooth Powder for Normal to Dry Skin

What?!?!? WOW. I saw the good reviews on this and thought I’d give it a whirl since it was on sale. I did not expect to like it, let alone for it to become a MUST in my routine. I’ve tried sooo many other powders, inc. high end, and none of them worked for me. I’m just not sure why - it’s a lot to do with the color match, but it’s also something about the formulation. Whatever it is, I’m in love with a drugstore powder.

Mascara -Maybelline New York -Volum' Express The Mega Plush

This mascara is adorably packaged. I love the turquoise and magenta combo. Being a Maybelline product, it's also very affordable. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end for me. I just can't deal with the brush. It has a little joint that allows it to bend. I get the theory behind it--it should make it easier to reach all your lashes--but it's so flimsy. It needs to have a bit more resistance. The formula is also meh. It flaked and gave me panda eyes. (In fairness, most mascaras do on me.) It also dried out quite fast--a blessing in hindsight.

Liquid -Maybelline New York -Fit Me Dewy/Hydrate/Luminous and Smooth Foundation (formerly Fit Me)

I've been using this foundation on and off since it first came out many years ago. I've repurchased it several times, but I just recently bought it again and don't like it anymore. I think this is where it ends with me and this foundation.
I have oily skin and it just slides around and never sets. Even if I powder and try to set this foundation, it just sits on top of my skin and rubs off so easily on anything. It looks "smooth" when first applied but it's not long lasting on me. It creases, gets greasy, and separates within the hour. I also don't like how it feels. I wish it felt lightweight like everyone describes it, but it feels like a mask to me.
I used to like it years ago, but I guess my skin has changed since then. I think this foundation would look good on dry skin and younger skin. I used to like the matte + poreless version more, but I also repurchased it and it was different than what I remembered. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of both Fit Me foundations anymore.

Lipstick -Maybelline New York -Color Sensational Lipstick (All Shades)

I’ve worn Maybelline lipsticks for years and have never had a difficult time finding flattering shades (which has not been my experience with some other brands). Maybelline has a superb selection of just what I want: cool pinks, reds, and plums/berries that aren’t garishly bright. My favorite Color Sensational shades so far are Pink Wink, Plum Paradise, Summer Sunset, and Ruby Star on Summer Sunset. I’ve been into Plum Paradise lately, a beautiful, cool, plummy red with a touch of pink and brown. I have rosy-ish pigmented lips and like non-matte lipsticks with a little sparkle or sheen, so all of these shades work really well for me. I don’t wear much makeup, so I don’t like super pigmented, loud lipsticks. I’ve found the glossier, sheerer formulation of the Color Sensationals makes them very easy to wear, but they’re not too sheer and still have good color payoff. Also love the low price.

My only complaints that make this not my HG and drive me to look elsewhere are sometimes the floral/bumblegum scent is quite strong and bothersome... and the color wear time could be longer. But mainly it's the fragrance. I REALLY wish Maybelline would make their lipsticks unscented, or at least way dial down the fragrance and choose a better one. For example, I much prefer the light, vanilla/cookie scent of Revlon's (sadly discontinued) Lip Butters or how Revlon's Super Lustrous lipsticks are plain unscented.
