Crème -Mary Kay -Cream-to-Powder Foundation

on 4/3/2019 12:50:00 PM

This is a review circa 2019 for the Endless performance cream to powder foundation - I use Ivory 2 and Ivory 4.
Very easy to apply, wears well, medium to full coverage. Applies like a cream and dries to a powdery (not chalky), smooth finish.
Wears very well on me.

No issues except - as with all (annoying) MK products - you have to purchase the compact separately. Ugh.

Crème -Mary Kay -Endless Performance Creme to Powder Foundation

This is a very good formula for dry skin people - it goes on creamy but dries to a smooth finish (not chalky or overly powdery). Ivory 2 and Ivory 4 look nearly the same on me. Weird? Also, as with all MK products, you (annoyingly) have to buy a compact separately.

Lip Liners -Mary Kay -Lipliners

Not a good lip pencil. Tiny amount and doesn't stay put when you press it on lips. I got rose, which is a bit redder than I expected and the pencil is just one of the worst I ever tried in terms of packaging. Don't bother. UPDATE: apparently there is a sharpener in the cap but it's just not a good value for the amount and the design. There are better pencils in the drugstore.

Lip Gloss -Mary Kay -Cafe Au Lait

on 3/23/2019 6:20:00 AM

Mary Kay constantly changes their packaging (I think to force customers and reps to buy new cassettes, etc.) The new Nourishine is a tube that is flared out at the bottom, unlike the last version, a straight tube that fit in their platinum cassettes. It's a small tube for the price. The color Cafe au Lait is not brown entirely, it's a rose brown YLBB and it's a great color. It's rather like another color in the series Pink Parfait, which is pinker, less brown.

Unlike previous tubes, it does not leak. Like previous glosses, it's thick and stays on well. Some of their colors have a lot of gritty glitter but this one doesn't.

I wish they had more creme colors with no glitter but I like their glosses better than almost any other brand. I'm not a Mary Kay addict but they have a few items that I find are some of the best. Their issue is that they are not inexpensive and they discontinue things constantly.

Lipstick -Mary Kay -Mary Kay® Gel Semi-Shine Lipstick

on 3/23/2019 6:12:00 AM

Great packaging, a dark metal tube with a logo. Looks very high end. The color is semi sheer and very moisturizing on lips; if you don't like matte lipstick, this is very comfortably and natural looking.

Rosewood is a nude mauve color and definitely one of the "YLBB" colors, reminds me a bit of Nars Dolce Vita (less pink perhaps) and a good dupe.

There are a few MK things I really like and their lipsticks and glosses are among them. They discontinue colors and packaging very frequently, to flog their reps into buying new stock (I think) so it's not about what the customer wants, it's about moving inventory. So if you find a color you adore, stock up. The price is not cheap, $18 but you can sometimes find a sale with a rep or other places.
