Highlighters -Make Up Academy (MUA) -Luxe Radiant Illumination Highlight Kit

on 9/13/2017 6:43:00 AM

This little gem is amazing! Usually I am not fond of highlighter palettes, since I have fair skin and most highlighters are to dark or heavy on my skin. This palette contains three pans of the most velvety matte finishing powders and three subtle highlighters. One powder in neutral, one in yellow and one in a peachy color. The 'highlighters' have two pink tones and one in a more bronzy tone. I really like a subtle highlighter, and I can wear all six of them since the colors are light. The three finishing powders are so soft and creamy and give a blurring effect. The three highlighters give a very soft, luminous sheen without any glitter or too much reflection.
Cons: the package is from plastic and feels kind of cheap (well, it is cheap since the palette costs 8 euro here in Europe). When you have medium or a darker skin color I don't think the powders will show up at all on your skin. And: these are really subtle, so if you like more of an intense glow, this one is not for you. In my opinion they could have named it better, because the highlighters are really more a radiant setting powder than a highlighter.

Misc Beauty Tools -Make Up Academy (MUA) -Brush Cleansing Balm With Scrubbing Pad

on 8/29/2017 3:54:00 PM

Unfortunately this wasn't a thorough enough cleanser for my brushes. After several washings there still appeared to have residue on them. Doesn't foam up a lot. The perfume in the balm stayed on my foundation brush and irritated me. Love the packaging, but it wasn't effective. I just use castile bar soap now and it works better.

Highlighters -Make Up Academy (MUA) -Undress your skin highlighting powder

I currently own 2 of these products and would definitely recommend to anyone on a budget. The highlighters come in a varied range of colours and are long- wear throughout the day. The only fault I have with this product is the packaging, as I have found the lid to snap off or break easily. However, the main part of the packaging is very long- wear and the labels stay on well without chipping or fading. My personal favourite shade is Iridescent Gold.

Pressed Powders -Make Up Academy (MUA) - Pro Matte Satin Pressed Powder

My go to powder. Most of my products are high end but since I have normal skin I don't need a heavy powder. If you're oily I'm not sure whether this will work for you but if not it's great. Just be careful because a little goes a long way so dust on a fine amount to avoid cakiness.
