Bi-Facil Face (Bi-Facil Visage) Bi-Phased Micellar Water

I usually use drugstore / pharmacy micellar waters but decided to try something high-end, I was curious if there’s a difference. Well, there’s not. My drugstore micellar water works just as well. But it doesn’t mean that this product is bad. On the contrary, it’s a gentle but effective cleanser, suitable for all skin types. I always double cleanse, I use it after my Korres Wild Rose foaming gel. Bi-Facil removes the rest of my makeup, especially mascara. Doesn’t sting my eyes, doesn’t dry out my skin, doesn’t leave greasy film on my face- exactly what I need. Quick and easy step in my routine. The bottle is pretty, and dispenses just the right amount of product. And because of that, I can already see that it will last longer that my previous cleanser. Good one, and very possibly I will buy it again in the future.

La Vie est Belle is my signature scent so you know up-front that this is a favorable review. Things become ubiquitous when there is greatness to them and that is the case with this magnificent perfume by Lancôme. I guess you can say I like the basics; basic like a string of pearls, a well-tailored black suit, and tasteful black leather stilettos. This is the type of "basic" that I perceive of La Vie est Belle. The composition opens with an enveloping sweetness that somehow manages a concurrent delicacy; like a dancing ballerina, she seems frail but her bones and musculature are strong and true, vibrant and ready. Don't mistake her dexterity for mere frivolity; on the contrary: feminine, sweet, rich and decadent, if you're looking for a candied personal scent cloud, give LVEB a go. This composition is very artfully, masterfully, and deliberately engineered to be precisely what she is. I heard a YouTube reviewer say in description of this fragrance, something like "La Vie est Belle is basic but it's basic done to perfection". I concur with her wholeheartedly; this treasure has conquered me completely and I say that without shame, dazzled by the sheer beauty of this simple, yet iconic fragrance. If she loves you (as she loves me - my chemistry, that is) - she will love you passionately and completely. Fragrance: Still a 10/10. Performance including projection, sillage, and longevity: 10/10 Value: Superb. To me, worth so much more than present asking prices, I'm grateful to have fallen for this attainable, simple, basic beauty. LVeB is very well suited to glamorous women of all ages. I am eternally mesmerized.

Le Stylo Waterproof Long Lasting eyeliner

When first applied (by an SA at Sephora) it looked great, so I purchased it. Before I even got home, it had smeared under my eyes. Cleaned that up. Ended up with raccoon eyes again. So wanted to wash my face and get everything off. Typically I don't even need eye makeup remover with my Laura Mercier cake liner, it just comes off with my facial cleanser. In this case I used eye makeup remover (Origins) then washed my face. Raccoon eyes and some liner were still in place! So I had to remove it with oil. The worst of both worlds: it is smudgy and migrates, but since it is "waterproof" it is hard to remove. Back to cake eyeliner (Laura Mercier Tightline) for me! Tightline is cheaper, stays in place but is easy to remove. And once you get the hang of applying with a brush I think it is just as fast, maybe faster.
