Masks -LUSH -Bunny Moon Jelly Face Mask

on 1/21/2019 5:37:00 PM

This is the second jelly mask I have tried from Lush, and I am very impressed with it. Bunny Moon is a good one for those who have dry or sensitive skin. It has soothing and softening ingredients that my skin loves, such as honey, rose oil and chamomile. I simply wet my face, take a small amount of product from the tub and rub it between my fingers until it breaks down some. Then I apply to my face, leave for 15 minutes and then rinse. I do find that the jelly masks are easier to rinse off in the shower than just by the skin. However, I have no issues with Lush's jelly formula. I find that my skin feels soft, smooth and hydrated after using this mask. It is a very gentle face mask. It gives my skin a lovely glow after use. It also has a lovely honey scent. I will definitely repurchase this one. I am keen to try out other Lush jelly masks too. This one is just lovely.

Masks -LUSH -Oatifix Fresh Mask

Hell no. I'm lucky I got a sample and didn't spend money on this. After I washed off this mask, I quickly developed red, irritated, itchy bumps all over my face and started peeling like crazy. It's been four days and it's just starting to calm down. I won't be buying anything from lush for a while.

Misc Beauty Tools -LUSH -LUSH - Whole Store

Used to really like some of their skincare in my 20's like Vanishing Cream or Cosmetic Lad. Starting with 30 their stuff just didn't cut it anymore and realistically it can't. There's nothing anti ageing in there, nothing that provides deep hydration, no decent exfoliation (apart from salt, lemon juice, maize flour etc), no sunscreen. If you're young and spotty you're probably gonna like Mask of Magnaminty or smth like that, but by 25 or 30 (at the latest!) do yourself a favour get yourself a retinol, a hyaluronic, a C serum, and a good chemical exfoliant. Trust me, all the cocoa butter, lemon juice, essential oil mixtures do not compare. And the high ammounts of fragrance (whether natural or synthetic) and SLS may sensitize your skin over time (it did mine).
The shower gels and shampoos are ridiculously drying, the bath bombs are fussy to store, inconsistent in quality and crumble all over the place. The bubble baths turn to rocks now if you don't use them straight away. I did like their hair treatments though!
In the last 10 years the ethics of the company also changed drastically: products are bulked up with CORN FLOUR, perfumes now contain WATER, prices are ever increasing while the formulas don't change and the sizes get smaller. Good classic products were discontinued to make way for gimmicky crap like dusting powder in a cocoa butter case or naked foundation. If something comes back then in an over hyped super small batch, at double the price and you're supposed to wake up 4 hours early or schedule your day around the time it gets put online...
Long story short if you're young and greasy and looking for a scrub or mask to dry the s### out of you, this is the place for you :) For everyone else, there are tons of better products and better companies out there at better prices.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH -Honey I Washed the Kids soap

on 1/12/2019 6:33:00 AM

Oh if you love sweet smelling, soft skin which makes you want to breathe deeply as you walk in the spring air with a mild warm wind blowing, then try this. I was hooked! It was a gift from my daughter-first Lush product ever and I was sold. The toffee/honey smell is soft but captures your attention. It's a softer soap so be sure to keep it stored in a tin. The soap has 2 parts as the top portion is a honeycomb which is rougher but does fall off. The last bar I had had an unusually thin section of honeycomb and immediately fell off during my initial wash which was disappointing. Honey is a wonderful, natural healer so if I have a breakout, I use the honeycomb side which has always healed my skin, surprisingly quickly too.
It doesn't lather up much so if you aren't used to natural products, be forewarned. It doesn't mean it's not a great product, because it is definitely that. There is a product of the same name which is a liquid body wash which is wonderful also and a hair bar for washing or conditioning your hair which wasn't my favourite item but smells divine. Keep it stored in a tightly covered soap container to make it last as it's a softer soap. I highly recommend it.

Skincare - Body -LUSH -LUSH Massage Bar - Hottie

Absolutely LOVE this product! Fragrance is beautiful and addicting and works very well moisturizing your skin. I also put it in my feet after my shower but make sure you bring socks with you and put them on immediately or you will end up with it on your carpet etc or could potenslip if not rubbed in very well.
It's one of my 'makes me happy' products that I have found made a big difference especially this dry winter and will not have a shower without one of these from Lush. Be sure to run it in well and I wouldn't recommend it if you are wearing silk as it would likely absorb the oil and ruin the blouse I think. I wish they made tins to fit this product but doesn't stop me from buying it again.
