Moisturizers -L'Occitane -Immortelle Divine Cream

2.5 rating
The highlight of this crème is the scent - a light almost citrus herb scent that’s a nice little pick-me-up. Overall, the cream isn’t heavy and glides on the skin easily when applied to the skin. I will continue to use any free travel size creams I can get during L’occitane promotions, but this is not something I would pick to pay for full-price version. With a hefty price of $110/50ml (1.7oz), this wouldn’t be one I’d recommend at that top tier price point. There’s nothing wrong with it, but there’s also nothing exciting or special about it for my normal-dry/dehydrated skin. Plenty of other products at that price point that provide more visible results in a short time, or makes my skin feel luxurious.

Moisturizers -L'Occitane -Pivoine Sublime Skin Perfecting Cream

on 2/7/2019 11:35:00 PM

A luxurious felling light gel-cream with their signature fresh peony scent. I absolutely love the Peony scent and have the fragrance, soap and hand cream. For my mid 40's normal sensitive skin this moisturiser left it looking velvety matte as well as tight feeling, in need of serious moisture. Irritated and itched my skin around my eyes, brows and cheeks. Probably best for young, oily or combination skin that is not too sensitive.

Gels/Soaps -L'Occitane -Almond Shower Oil

I wouldn't purchase this product again as I don't feel cleansed after using. Usually one would feel refreshed after bathing. But, this product doesn't give such effect. Personally, I'd choose Eucerin shower oil instead of L'occitane

Fragrances -L'Occitane -Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette

This perfume reminds me of walking in a garden full of peony and fresh flowers. Very refreshing and light. It lasts around 5 to 6 hours on me despite being an EDT. Loccitane perfumes usually come in EDTs, and I must said that I am always never disappointed with their perfumes, this one included. This scent is inoffensive, captivating and suitable for day and night wear, thus it is a safe blind buy for those who hated to shop for fragrances at perfume outlets. Will definitely repurchase once I finished it.

Moisturizers -L'Occitane -Divine Harmony Face Cream

I knew that L’Occitane was not a remarkable cosmetic brand, but their face creams are usually fair enough to be used on average basis. I finally had a chance to try the Divine Harmony cream and serum yesterday night and I couldn’t believe my senses – I haven’t used such a AWFUL cream for a long time, and believe me – I’ve tried A LOT of the best brands and products! First, the fragrance – extremely artificial and strong – it smells like an alkyd paint diluent! The strong smell even disrupted my sleep as I was challenged many times to wash this stuff off my face so I can take a decent nap. I forced myself not to do it and finish the experiment. The second – the cream glided the same artificial way on the skin and absolutely refused to sink in it – like I was using petrolatum oil. I gave up the futile massage and just left it there on my skin hoping that it would sink by itself by tomorrow morning. In the morning the cream was gone, but whether it had sunk or just had been rubbed away by my bed linen during sleep, I can’t say.
Overall, an amazing crap at amazing price.
