I am deeply in love with this scent. It is dark, spicy, mysterious and rich. It lasts forever! Inexpensive in Italy, but pricy in the states. It is a must have for any spice lover (Opium, Obsession, Tabu, Oleg Cassini, Rumba).

I am really in love with this bad boy. Granted I have no idea what a pomegranate smells like in the perfume world so I will not base my review off of that. This is the most beautiful clean scent with a hint of floraly warmth. Kind of soapy but with more body and a slight tanginess that adds sophistication. So feminine and so alluring. Perfect for any occasion and really any season. I love the history behind this scent and how it's made which makes me treasure it that much more. The less than stelar reviews really have me surprised!

Sadly, not as unique as it once was-- too many similar alternatives on market today. In the days before niche fragrances exploded, there was low-end Vanilla Lace (Victoria's Secret), drugstore Vanilla Musk (Coty), and not many high-end, luxe quality vanillas. That's where I Profumi found their niche with this upscale, pure madagascar vanilla fragrances (Comptoir Sud Pacifique was another). I have a bottle, and i love the packaging (so artisanal!) but sadly, today's market is littered with many niche brands also touting their own heavenly, syrupy, decadant single-note vanilla. But these days, everyone has a beautiful, rich, vanilla that is made of expensive quality ingredients: Maison de la Vanille has a madagascar-based one, so thick and concentrated!. Outremer (a near match and affordable) Calypso. Profumum. L'Artisan. Even Van Cleef & Arpels has a stunning, delectable, thick and syrupy vanilla. Do a search on Luckyscent, and you'll find dozens. Because of all the other versions on the market (hi and low end), when you smell I Profumi's vaniglia, it's not unique anymore. It smells so... vanilla. Although i love this fragrance as part of my collection, shhh... here's my confession as a niche fragrance hound: it smells like VS Vanilla Lace. Necessary to own? Not at all. But nice to have it? Yes.
