Stick -Hourglass Cosmetics -Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

I resisted the temptation to buy this foundation for so long, despite all the glowing reviews I read. I eventually caved and splashed out, only to be disappointed!

Firstly, the amount of product you get for the price is pretty underwhelming. The packaging is nice, sleek and looks expensive..but the amount of product is meh!

The actual formula is nice, goes on quickly and smoothly, blends out easily enough but definitely not full coverage. You will need to go in with more swipes to build it up to a higher medium coverage, thus you will be using more product and wasting the foundation much quicker, and you don't get that much to start with! Also, for the time spent building the product up I feel I may as well have gone in with my normal liquid foundation, in the grand scheme of it I am not saving any time!

People with dry to normal skin may really like the wear of this, but on my mostly normal yet very slightly combo skin, it starts to slide around and look oily and break apart after 2 hours! I do not have very oily skin at all, with just a pinch of oil occurring after many many hours around the sides of the nose and chin and I NEVER need to blot or re-powder but with this one repowdering is a must..and it must be done regularly! To be honest, its not too much unlike the Make-Up Revolution Fast Base stick, although the MUR one has waaaay more coverage and is a tiny fraction of the price of this one.

Will not be repurchasing and will probably give this one to a friend to try.

Mascara -Hourglass Cosmetics -Caution Extreme Lash Mascara

Out of all the expensive mascaras I've tried this is by far the best! My lashes were so long & full people were asking me if they were fake. It doesn't clump or flake. The only negative is the price. It's hard for me to justify paying $30 for a tube of mascara. However, it's so awesome I will buy again.

Pressed Powders -Hourglass Cosmetics -Ambient Lighting Powder - Dim Light

I bought a mini of Dim ambient powder last year, and mostly use it as a highlighter. However, with my winter skin tone, this is just a smidge darker, and has a brightening and a subtle bronzing effect (super Nordic/Celtic heritage, right here). My skin looks alive and glowing with this in a way that I’ve found with no other highlighters. I’ve used reserve your cabana (wet n wild dupe) and thought it was “just as good”, but truly...there’s no comparison. Dim is smoothly milled, melts into your skin seamlessly, and makes you look bright and airbrushed without being glittery. I burned through that mini, lusted after it for months, and just repurchased the regular size. I’ll likely rebuy when this one is gone too.
Fair skinned ladies, this is a win, go try it out and take some selfies. For deeper skin tones, I’d try out Radiant from the same line, it’s more bronzey with gold tones.

Primer/ Corrector -Hourglass Cosmetics -No. 28 Primer Serum

I finished an entire bottle and enjoyed every minute. Its great under or over skincare and on occasions I used this as serum on bare skin, its very versatile. It makes foundation go on like a dream, however it is oil based so I used this mostly during colder months, this may be a little heavy for oily types but good for spot use anyhow. This is very expensive for what it is and I don't like how the bottle/website contains no ingredients, its only on the box which I threw out. I'm now using the Ordinary high spreadability fluid primer which feels the same. It does not have the 28 precious oils and is fragrance free but I got this for $5 in the Black Friday sales and honestly, its just as good. I don't think the hourglass version is worth the price and there is no discernible difference in performance. I would recommend you buy the smaller travel size to give it a test run, since the full size is $65, so perhaps buy with a code. I would give it 2 more lippies if this was significantly cheaper.

Loose Powders -Hourglass Cosmetics -Veil Translucent Setting Powder

I have some loose powders that I truly love( Too Faced Ethereal, No7 Perfect Light, Chanel, Laura Mercier etc), so I really didn't need this, but listened to the hype, and am glad I did! This powder is so smooth and finely milled, its just fabulous..its like a filter for the face, and provides such a smooth flawless finish. I love applying this with the Tarte pink and gold setting powder brush, and pressing it into my skin for the best results.. I will definitely repurchase.
