Fragrance -Dior -Poison Girl Unexpected Eau de Toilette

on 4/20/2019 4:06:00 PM

I want to give Poison Girl Unexpected a shout out as, despite what the name suggests, I think that this perfume is a lovely, more adult, gourmand fragrance suited for those of us in the 25+ crowd; it has a smooth base of a comforting nutty/vanilla warmth, that is intertwined with lingering sweet citrus notes that tone down the sweetness a bit. The heart of the fragrance is centered around a timeless powdered floral mix of rose, and what I think is orange blossom, and possibly magnolia. The star of the fragrance is the ginger note, that accompanies the citrus notes and adds some 'fizz' throughout the fragrance's wear-time on skin.

I have Poison Girl Unexpected in the edt variant, but it has an excellent longevity [9+ hours] that almost matches that of my Poison Girl edp.

Official scent notes: ginger, lemon, blood orange, Damask rose. tonka bean, hazelnut and vanilla.

Poison Girl Unexpected unsurprisingly smells similar to Poison Girl; but the new ginger note gives the fragrance energy which is lacking in the original edition, plus Unexpected is lighter on the rose and more bite on the citrus. I enjoy Poison Girl, but I'm loving Unexpected and will be rebuying this over the original one, as it just has more personality and zing and is suitable to wear all year round, whereas I found the rose notes in the original Poison Girl too intense for warmer weather. It also is a bit reminiscent to the Black Opium, but doesn't remind of Princess in the slightest.

Eyeliner -Dior -Diorshow Liner Waterproof

Bought this eyeliner bc one of the housewives on real housewives of dallas used it. and after I got it I remembered that she probanly has someone doing her makeup! this product is really pricey and if you're not careful the actual eyeliner stick falls out! it doesn't last that long on my eyes. I've found better eyeliners for half the price. don't recommend it! I now have three colors. the gray is invisible. black is fine and blue is really a pretty navy but not worth the hassle and the clost.

Foundations -Dior -Backstage Face & Body Foundation

on 4/19/2019 9:37:00 PM

I don’t even know where to begin! This is the best versatile foundation out there!
First of all I can alternate the coverage- for everyday I’ll wear it as is, but if I want more I’ll mix it in with my farsali drops.

Second of all you get 50ml for 40$ which is the standard price for high end makeup BUT it’s almost double the amount.. sounds like a great deal

But let’s talk about my skin and the foundation.
I have oily textured skin, this foundation makes everything so smooth! It controls my oil even though my prep routine leans to hydrate and minimize pores. My powders helps my shine the most and this foundation works great with my kit.
It doesn’t separate on my face which is a major problem with most of the foundations I try, it covers most of my issues (without mixing anything for better coverage) but that’s a good thing because I actually like spot concealing, I don’t want to feel heavy all over.

Honestly as I was doing my makeup I felt like a model the finish is a natural kinda glass like but that’s not a bad thing even tho my skin is oily BECAUSE powder fixes everything lol

The last test this foundation need to pass is the sensitive skin part. If it makes me breakout I’ll update, and probably stop using it lol.

I recommend using a flat top dense brush, definitely not a sponge.

Liquid -Dior -Diorskin FOREVER Undercover 24HR Full-Coverage Foundation

on 4/19/2019 8:29:00 PM

Very good cover not so full as double wear max from Estée Lauder but it is better on photos as it doesn’t have sun protection and it looks also a little bit more natural. My color in Dior is 020(I am medium fair with brown eyes and brown grey hair)however this time I took a 0.25,it is too orange for me but in summer it gives me a better sunny look
Drawback:its advantage is its drawback at the same time...i am talking about the sun spf, this product doesn’t have spf so it’s better on photos but not suitable for a very sunny country as Greece. If I wear it in the morning I should use sunscreen
It is very liquid, use it carefully and don’t put too much,it is medium to full coverage so you need only two or three drops
PS:I also bought this on discount as all cosmetics
I don’t think it can cover heavy face problems in that case double wear max Estée Lauder is better but Dior undercover is perfect for face discoloration

Blush -Dior -Rosy Glow Awakening Blush

on 4/18/2019 11:30:00 AM

This is one of my favorite and most used blushes, and I have gone through many lol. I'm always looking for blush that can give a pop of color on my NW20 skin without making me look like a clown, and that ideally works with many different lip colors and such. For me this is a beautiful and surprisingly neutral pop of color. It's not quite a blue-toned bubblegum pink, or a warm peachy pink. It's somewhere in between, and for that reason I'm able to use with a lot of different looks. It's very fine-milled and applies smoothly, never patchy. The color is buildable, so if you're needing just a subtle wash of color it can give that, but if you're looking for a more intense dose of color a few layers will do that too.

The case is gorgeous and glam, and I will note that the brush that comes with it is not junky either. Sometimes the brushes that are included in blushes, including high-end ones, are kind of a joke, but sometimes I actually use this brush in favor of my more luxe brushes, especially if I'm in a rush, because it's soft but sturdy and applies the color smoothly. So it can be a good on-the-go or travel product.
