Treatments (Face) -Deciem -The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Borage Seed Oil

This product saved my skin! I live in Canada and the winter months can be severely dry and freezing cold. This causes my skin to fall apart. My face becomes dry and flaky with psoriasis and my hands crack and bleed from wearing gloves and repetitively washing them. (Cold and flu season). I used The Ordinary rose hip oil in the summer but thought id give the Borage seed a try in winter because of the reviews saying it’s good for eczema etc. it worked like a charm! Put 2 drops on my face and rubbed the excess on my knuckles and no skin issues at all! I highly recommend it if you suffer with extreme dry skin or irritated skin.

Treatments (Face) -Deciem -The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5

I really like this! Compared to the last HA serum I've used, Vichy Mineral 89, this is much more concentrated, has multiple weight/size hyaluronic acids, never pills up - o it's own or under other products - and is a lot cheaper.

It's quite thick, sticky and is hard to measure out. It leaves the dropper in strings rather than drops and applies a lot easier on skin that is still a bit wet after cleansing. The stickiness only last a minute for me and I allways moisturise afterwards, so it's not a problem for me.

My skin ia definirely more plump after use and anything I apply afterwards seem to absorb quicker and more fully.

A word about multiple molecular weight hyaluronic acid: the most common form of HA, sodium hyaluronate, is the most humectant one retracting as much as 1 000 times its weight in water. Its also a very large molecule so stays on skin's surface creating a mesh.

Low/ultra low molecure weight HA, sometimes labelled hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid (but sodium hyaluronare can also be fractionated into smaller/lower weight parts), are less moisturising, but penetrate a bit deeper. It also encourage skin's innate ability to form HA.

The lower the weight, the deeper it can go. I haven't really noticed any long term moisture retention in my skin after using multiple HA products for quite some time, though. It still feels good using them.
Because...who knows?

I got this to heal my skin, in case I overdo it with TO's direct acids/vitamin C. I have not experienced redness or flaking from using all the exfoliants, so I think it is working.

Toners -Deciem -The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

I've been using a couple of days now. There is a mild tingle upon application. I had a pimple that I had left alone, excepting washing & putting some drawing salve on it. It refused to come to a head & went away, leaving a dark mark. I have started using a few different TO products over the past week & a half. The dark mark isn't fading very well, but I have noticed that I need much less than my usual amount of moisturizer. I like it, I will continue & update after longer use.

This was perfect for my sensitive skin with mild rosacea. I was just beginning to use tretinoin. After a month or so, I started using this in the morning whenever I had some flakey skin. I found it worked well for removing flakey skin even though it is only 5%. I use it at least once per week and probably going to increase soon. Will definitely repurchase.
