The foundation looks great but unfortunately, I broke out in hives so there is some irritating ingredient.

Treatments (Eye) -CLINIQUE -All About Eyes

I like this product, I am just not very impressed by the relation price/quality. It hydrates well the eye area, it does not interfere with make up and it also doesn't irritate my eyes.

However, in terms of puffiness and black circles I do not notice much difference when compared with cheaper products, like the pep-start eyes, also from Clinique.

It also ends faster (maybe because of the package). One package only lasted 3 months (applying everyday morning and most nights). I had other eyes creams also of 15 ml that last approximately 5 months.

Moisturizers -CLINIQUE -Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

on 12/15/2018 2:45:00 PM

So, I remember a reviewer on here describe the discontinued Moisture Surge formula as a ”glorified Vaseline”, and for that reason they didn’t like it. I actually loved it for precisely that reason! On my dry, dehydrated skin, the old Moisture Surge (especially the Intense version) worked as a good occlusive on top of my other hydrating products. I liked having the ”Vaseline effect” without using actual Vaseline. (I don’t know, I was weird about Vaseline, but I have since learned to like it.)

This is different. Still sticky, but seems lighter, absorbs faster, and therefore does nothing for me as an occlusive. As a regular moisturizer, it’s mediocre at best. Whenever dimethicone is near the top of an ingredient list, I’m a little put off. Silicones don’t bother me as such, I just prefer ingredients with real benefits up there.

However, I do like that it contains urea (can be helpful for dehydrated skin), and there are some amounts of aloe and green tea leaf extract. I read that this was promoted as ”bursting with hyaluronic acid” - but it’s way down the ingredient list, indicating that there’s not much HA in there.

It’s not BAD, but regardless of your skin type, you can get a way better moisturizers for half the price of this, so if a friend asked me for recommendations, this wouldn’t even enter my mind.

The jar packaging (and the product hence being exposed to air and maybe fingers) makes no sense. A gel like this could easily be put in a (more protective) tube.
Edit: After trial using this for a week, I’ve got weird bumps around my chin and jaw, which is the only area of my face where breakouts sometimes (rarely) happen. Did not add anything else new to my routine, so I’m sure this is the culprit. What a weird product.

Liquid -CLINIQUE -Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup Foundation

on 12/15/2018 1:58:00 PM

I have a very oily skin type that gets the occasional pimples here & there but in general my skin is fine & I don't need to wear a liquid foundation for any coverage therefore! But I did buy this particular liquid foundation from Clinique to try when they first launched it years ago Bc I knew it was a fresh brand new product that hasn't been sitting around! ! LOL I love my Clinique products & have been using them since I was a teenager! & I bought this liquid makeup not to use as a foundation but as a concealer for any breakout I might happen to get or on any redness on my face or any small imperfections on my face! & I use this in their second lightest shade the fresh ivory and it matches my skin tone exactly!& I like how lightweight this feels on my skin and it holds well on my extremely oily skin! So I like this only as a concealer but I could see how this would perform well as a moderate coverage foundation for acne & oily prone skin people! I like also how this stuff is medicated with salicyclic acid to treat your skin issues while giving you good coverage!
