Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow -Rose Salve

on 2/22/2018 1:50:00 PM

I love this. Prior to getting this, I'd used the Vaseline Rosy Lips lip balm and was curious how this would compare. I like the Vaseline, but I prefer this one. The Rose Salve has a slightly denser texture and I find it more emollient and moisturising for my lips. I also find I don't have to reapply this as often. I really like the scent too. It does smell of rose, but in addition it has a much sweeter smell. The balm is tinted pink, but I don't notice any tint when it's on my lips.

I don't have a problem opening my tin like some reviewers have mentioned, but maybe it depends which one you get! I find mine opens easily if I twist the lid round whilst simultaneously lifting the lid.

The tin contains a generous 22 grams so it'll last me ages, but I would definitely repurchase this once mine's run out.

Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow -My Favorite Night Balm

on 12/30/2017 12:16:00 AM

Although I've always loved face and body moisturizers i've tended to ignore my lips until now, which is kinda silly since they were not surprisingly always dry and chapped. This stuff is amazing--my lips are suddenly so much plumper it almost looks like I've had had them plumped via an injection. Why was I ignoring lip balm for so many years??? I use it every night, and during the day when I remember. The price isn't terrible, other than the fact that I want 15 of them, and I like the slanty tip. The texture is a bit goopy, but not any worse than other lip balms i've tried.

Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow -Organics Raspberry Jam Moisturizing Lip Shine

Unfortunately, C.O. Bigelow doesn't carry this line anymore. What a shame! This is MOST definitely my favorite lip gloss of all time. Good thing I'm still able to find it on ebay.

This review is for both the Raspberry Jam, Ripe Blackberry and Blueberry Preserves. I LOVE these lipglosses so much!! First off, one tube lasts me a few years even with daily use. With that being said, this stuff is cheap if you are like me and don't use a ton with every application. The scent is delicious and subtle. This lipgloss makes my lips full, plump and moisturized WITHOUT being sticky or leaving behind the dreaded white line. In fact, I find that it stays on for a long time and my hair doesn't get stuck to it nor does it dry into stickiness. Also, the ingredient list is, for the most part, satisfactory. I love these glosses so much that even though I currently have 2 Ripe Blackberry and 1 Blueberry Preserves; I am still "watching" the "Strawberries and Cream" and "Golden Peach" flavors in the same line, on ebay. Will be so sad when I can't find these anymore. If you happen to run across this line anywhere, snatch them up. They are well worth it!!!

Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow -Lavender Rose Salve

on 12/20/2017 1:24:00 PM

I'm a big fan of the rose salve, and like lavender. But this stuff burns my lips and doesn't smell all that pleasant. Plus it's $2 more per tin than the rose. I'm using it out on hands and cuticles, then it's back to the rose salve forever.

This should be called lavender salve, as it has no rose in it.

Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow -Mentha Lip Shine

on 11/19/2017 3:19:00 PM

I have this in pink. It's a light pink, shimmery gloss that glides easily and compliments any of my lipsticks. I use it on top of lip tints when I want them to last longer and I don't want my lips to dry out. It's very minty, which is great: feels refreshing on the lips, especially if they're chapped. I don't think the ingredient list is the best, but it does a good job, and I love the shimmer.
