Concealers -bareMinerals -bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer

on 8/15/2018 9:02:00 AM

Love this. It's more thin than most concealers and therefore less detectable on the skin, but has great coverage. I use it to spot conceal, and just a tiny bit under my eyes. I just dab the tiniest amount on problem areas and buff it with my finger or a concealer brush, on days and occasions where I don't feel like wearing foundation. It's foolproof, doesn't move, doesn't cake, and really lasts. I love BareMinerals for their base liquid products. Their shade range is good, I have no trouble finding the right color. They're easy to use and fuss-free. Will definitely repurchase this one- it's the best concealer IMO, and I've tried all of them.

Sunscreen -bareMinerals -Complexion Rescue Defense Radiant Protective Veil SPF 30

on 8/13/2018 11:28:00 PM

I really wanted to love the new BAREMINERALS Complexion Rescue Defense Radiant Protective Veil Broad Spectrum SPF 30, but in the end I found it to be simply just okay. BareMinerals has marketed this as the cure to protect your skin from blue HEV light emitted by cell phones, Ipads, Tablets, and latptops. I was a little happy (and annoyed) to read that all sunscreens that are broad spectrum already do this- FYI-- you do not need a special sunscreen for this!! This is good news but also annoying that BareMinerals claims that their Complexion Rescue Defense Radiant Protective Veil doesn't do anything special. This has more of a white cast than other sunscreens, less wear time, and sometimes causes my foundation to slip. I have lots of sunscreens and I can never see myself reaching for this since there are so many sunscreens that are so much better and have a stronger SPF with little to no white cast. Lips -bareMinerals -Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick

on 8/9/2018 9:30:00 PM

I absolutely love these lipsticks! I have the shades Kitty and Tutu - and definitely plan to pick up some more. I am very impressed. These lipsticks are creamy, balmy, hydrating and comfortable to wear. They have a creme finish and leave the lips with a healthy shine. They don't feel heavy on the lips, don't bleed or sink into lip lines. They also don't dry out the lips. They are not long lasting lipsticks by any means, but they do last around 3 hours on me without eating or drinking. They do not have a noticeable scent to them either. The range has a decent selection of everyday shades, so most skin tones would be able to find a good nude or mlbb shade for them. If you like bright colours, this is not the line to look at. However, I love these to wear to work or more conservative occasions. These are reasonably priced and great quality. I cannot recommend them enough!

Lipstick -bareMinerals -GEN NUDE Matte Liquid Lipcolor

on 8/9/2018 1:06:00 PM

Let me start with saying how much I hate liquid matte lipsticks. I don't like how they set and feel all dry on my lips. It's a personal thing. I don't mind matte lipsticks, however, so long as they don't smell like dryer sheets or have a weird minty or fake fruit flavor thing going on.

I'd heard good things about these BareMinerals matte lipsticks, and when Sephora had a half-off sale, I thought I'd give one a go.

I picked Swag, described as a blushing mauve. It's a tiny bit lighter than I expected, but it does look pretty natural on my lips, just making them appear a tiny bit more pink. Very MLBB.

As for the formula, I quite like it. It glides on (with a doe-foot applicator) like velvet, and sets, but not completely. There's a tiny bit of moisture that lingers, but it's not sticky or goopy. It's not moisturizing, but it's not drying either.

It looks matte, but not painfully dry. There's a chocolate scent to this, which I kind of like. (For some reason a lippie that smells like chocolate doesn't bother me.) There's no flavor, and it feels comfy on the lips. It lasts a decent time, too. It's not going to wear like iron while eating pizza or a burger, but it has a bit of hold for sipping coffee, etc. It's not something that I would call set it and forget it, but I could safely putter around with this on without fearing it'll slip off in 15 minutes.

I think for $19 it's a bit steep, but for a liquid matte formula it's pretty damn good. One lippie off for the steeper price and that it's not moisturizing. I may even pick up another one in a different shade, but only if they're still on sale.

Powder -bareMinerals -Original SPF 15 Foundation

on 8/7/2018 10:07:00 PM

I came back to this product this year in desperation. I used it throughout my early 20s when it was kind of the thing to do, and never felt very strongly about it. I don't believe, in retrospect, that my application skills were quite there yet. I turned forty this year, and have enjoyed the pleasures of dry, flaky, hypothyroid skin, along with adult cystic acne! Yay! I consulted a derm about skincare, went to my gynecologist/endocrinologist for hormonal help, and when it got as good as it was gonna get, I bought this foundation about a month ago. Shelby Wilson, the YouTube guru taught me how to apply, and I set to work. I AM IN LOVE. It truly covers what I need covered, without settling into fine lines or creasing. It lasts all day, and best of painful cystic acne is gone. Even more...I swear, my skin glows now, even without the product on. So, so pleased with bareMinerals.
