Tinted Moisturizer -bareMinerals -COMPLEXION RESCUE Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

on 1/21/2019 5:42:00 PM

I cannot rave enough about this product! It is the perfect lightweight, light coverage, natural looking base. I simply apply a little over primer, spread with my fingers, then blend with a beauty blender. I have no issues with this product caking, streaking or applying patchy. It gives me lovely light coverage, covering any redness or discolouration, but allowing my natural skin to shine through. It makes your skin look flawless. It also gives the skin a lovely radiant glow. Other makeup sits well on top of it (e.g. blush, highlight) and it has worked with both mattifying and hydrating primers. I love that this has SPF 30, so it is great for use in the Summer. It lasts well through the heat and humidity, and I have no issues with it fading off or separating throughout the day. It is very reasonably priced and is great value for money. I have raved about this to no end, and turned a few friends onto it also. This product is perfect for those who love lightweight, natural looks. If you have a desire for high coverage, then this will not be for you. This is absolutely one of the best tinted moisturisers that I have ever tried. I am so happy I have found this, and will definitely be using it for a long time.

Mascara -bareMinerals -Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara

on 1/20/2019 2:42:00 PM

This was discounted when I bought it, so I feel slightly less bad about wasting my money. Anyways: this has a rubberized spiral brush, meaning: the bristles aren't evenly spaced out. This adds absolutely nothing to the functionality IMO, and makes the wand more annoying to use.

The formula is very black... and that's about where the positives end for me. The formula is slightly difficult to work with as it dries fairly fast, and I like to apply two layers of mascara, as my lashes are thin and sparse. The formula feels like a tubing mascara, but it isn't: tubing mascaras are easy to remove, while this isn't. It dries very stiff and crusty, which can sometimes feel slightly uncomfortable to my eyes - and I've worn mascara every day for over 10 years now. Finally: this FLAKES! I had A LOT of small black specks at the end of my work day. They were under my eyes, over my eyes, on my nose and cheeks, and even above my lip. A couple of them were smeared, as they had fallen down onto my face, and I must've somehow dragged my finger across it. Honestly, the only reason I don't give this mascara 1* is because that rating is reserves for mascaras that make my eyes irritated

Powder -bareMinerals -Bare Minerals ALL

I’ve been wearing the original foundation for ten years. My shade is Fair 01. I absolutely love the buildable coverage and the glow it gives your skin throughout the day. I always get complimented on it. It’s great for my skin as I’m prone to acne and blackheads as it’s non-comedogenic. It doesn’t dry out my skin as all. I trynother foundations but always come back to this. I just wish they made it in bigger pots!

Blush -bareMinerals -Loose Powder Blush - Golden Gate

I am a huge fan of bareMinerals products, particularly their powder cover up in Matte and their powder bronzers....
But I am disappointed in the bareMinerals powder blush I purchased last week! I have to use a large amount, and even then it barely shows up... maybe that's why they called themselves "bare"minerals, barely there!

Loose Powders -bareMinerals -Bare Minerals Original Mineral Veil

on 1/9/2019 12:07:00 AM

After 20 years of trying to keep my foundation and powders from melting in the humid and sweaty climate of Singapore, I finally gave up. No more liquid or powder foundations for me. Forget about full coverage and hiding pores. I now only use the Original Veil as my powder. It helps brighten your face in a nice no makeup way and mattify the skin. I use it under my eyes as well to seal my concealer. And I love it. Just not a fan of the packaging. It's difficult to dispense the powder so I have to shake it all over like a madwoman to get the powder out.
