Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Rue 21 Rue Beauté! - Eyeliner Pencil in Fuschia
zooper12 7/23/2011 10:39:00 AM
I was at Rue 21 and their makeup caught my eye, so I started browsing around. The makeup is pretty cheap and Rue 21 is mainly a clothing store, so I wasn't expecting anything amazing when i bought this $2 hot-ish pink eyeliner, but it was surprisingly good! I like how it's sealed so that no one can uncap it in the store, and on the end of the pencil there's a stripe of color to indicate what the color is. The only thing I don't like (which is a minor complaint) is that the color name is on the plastic seal and not the pencil, so when you take off the plastic, the name is gone. This goes on really smoothly and doesn't tug at your lids. It's just a really fun color to have and it actually can be pretty wearable! I also like to use it on my lids as eyeshadow or a base for pink eyeshadow. Overall, I highly recommend this eyeliner because it's really affordable and the quality is great:)

Palettes -NYX - 10 Pan Eyeshadow Palette - Secret World
zooper12 1/2/2011 12:36:00 PM
I LOVE THIS PALETTE!!!I got it al Ulta, where they're $10,but I had a coupon.:)It would be a good time to get one if you have one of those $3.50 off $10 or more coupons.I love all these colors!I really like green eyeshadows, and this comes with several!I really think these colors look great with my dark/chocolate brown eyes;however,I'm not one to not wear an eyeshadow because "I don't think it looks good with my eye color".Anyways,I love NYX eyeshadows, and I love the sleek, black packaging for this palette! It's handy to throw in your purse/bag,and the sponge applicator it came with is good for on the go touch-ups.I'll go through each color, starting from the upper left, and going clockwise around the palette (btw, these are all shimmery.) 1.nude shade with silver shimmer:on me,the color hardly shows up,only lightly, but the pretty shimmer does. When I just want subtle shimmer,I put this all over my lid. 2.Orange-ish,bronze-ish shade with gold shimmer:This color really enhances my lid and looks like a bronze/gold with subtle-ish gold shimmer. This is another good all over lid color for me. 3.Bronze-ish,salmon-ish pink with silver shimmer:a very pretty, shimmery, medium pink 4.THE PERFECT ORANGE!with silver shimmer:I love orange (it's my favorite color),and I love orange makeup, and this is an amazing,semi-bright,shimmery,pigmented, perfect orange eyeshadow! 5.dark-ish plum-ish with gold/silver shimmer:If looked at from a certain angle, the shimmers in this are absolutely beautiful!Great crease color! 6.medium green with very subtle light green shimmer:amazing medium green, great when put on part of the lid with other greens 7.amazing gold/forest green with gold shimmer:This color is so incredibly unique and hard to describe, you have to see it!Not the most pigmented, though. 8.light green with light green shimmer:this is a lime-ish green, nice on the inner part of the lid with other greens 9.dark,dark green with gold shimmers:amazing, very dark green;great for crease, outer v,and outer corner 10.white with white shimmers:great as a highlight for browbone, inner corner, and center of lid,but you have to layer it to get a good highlight. Overall, some of these are more pigmented than others, but my sister has an extremely pigmented single NYX shadow, and I've heard that the singles can be more pigmented than the palettes? You can make sooo many different looks with just this palette,it's perfect. But if you don't like shimmery shadows, don't get this!An extremely minor thing is,that eyeshadow dust can sometimes get on the mirror (obviously!),but you just wipe it off,and for dome reason,a chunk off the corner of the light green came out,and made a mini mess.oh well!I really want to get more of these,I'll probably use a coupon again though:)I love NYX-they make great products, and they're affordable. What's not to love?Highly recommended!!!!

Blush -Ben Nye - Dry Cheek Rouge- Chestnut
zooper12 1/2/2011 12:04:00 PM
I like the packaging on this blush-the flip top and clear top is nice.(So you can see the color without having to open it.)This is a really pretty color, but I honestly have no idea how to describe it,and I don't wanna mislead you by describing it wrong! So hopefully the other reviewers did a good job of that.;)It is very, very pigmented, and can look OTT really easily,if you're not careful. It's really good for contouring,I'm not a huge fan of it on the apples of my cheeks, but it works.Just be careful if you contour with it,because it works great, but can easily look like way too much, and make your face look red and overly made-up.Overall,recommended ifyou are looking for a contouring blush,or just like bolder blush colors!

Polishes -OPI - Color So Hot It Berns
zooper12 1/2/2011 11:55:00 AM
Opi has beyond managed to impress me yet again! This is an absolutely amazing,bright-ish red color. My sister got it in the Opi Little Black Dress-Up duo (which also came with You Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous)from a gift exchange. You can get the duo at Ulta for $10,which is an amazing deal, considering that alone, they're originally $8.50!My sister put this on her fingernails yesterday, and as usual with Opi's,the application was perfectly flawless! No streaking or cuticle pooling, and it was an opaque,bright-ish red with one coat!it also dried relatively fast, and the color looks great with our warm, tan skin.Highly recommended, and this would also look really cool with some sparkle nailpolish on top!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Claire's- Angel Rocker Perfume
zooper12 12/31/2010 4:33:00 PM
I read about the two new Claire's fragrances on their website: Angel Rocker and Rebel Rocker, and wanted to try out Angel Rocker, as it sounded more like my style. They described something like juicy, flirty berries, with soft vanilla. I sprayed this on when I went to Claire's. I figured that if I liked it, it would be great to have an awesome perfume for a good price! Well, it was sweet, but....strong, and overpowering. And there was just something that seemed off about it. I don't know...there was just something in all that sweet deliciousness that wasn't right to me. Oh well. Maybe I'll try Rebel Rocker next.:)

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Honey Lip Balm
zooper12 12/31/2010 4:21:00 PM
I got this at Wegman's a couple years ago for 2.50 USD, I believe. My lips tend to get VERY dry, and this isn't the most moisturizing. It's kind of waxy. It's pretty much clear on your lips, and I like that it's natural, and I kinda think of that as a way to justify the price for this, as it is slightly higher than other chapsticks I've seen. I like the scent, it's not a sweet honey smell, but more of just a natural honey scent. This is good if you just need a little moisture, which to be honest, isn't the case most of the time for me. I haven't used this in a really long time, actually. But if all that is described above sounds appealing to you, and you like natural health/beauty products, this may be good for you!

Other -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom Wallflower
zooper12 12/31/2010 4:14:00 PM
My sister has been wanting a wallflower for a while, and LOVES the BBW Japanese Cherry Blossom scent. So she got a white wallflower with silver rhinestones on it for Christmas. She also got the wallflower scent refills in Sweet Pea and Japanese Cherry Blossom. The package recommends switching the scent every eight weeks (two months), if I remember correctly. She plugged in the JCB first, and when you walk into her room, you immediately smell sweet florals! It's not TOO strong, but it's not weak, either, and it IS definitely noticeable, so if you like subtle scents, I don't know if you'd want one of these. Overall, highly recommend! Oh, and I think the refills are about $7.50 USD, but they were on sale for I think 5 USD during their after Christmas hello yellow sale.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ed Hardy Love and Luck
zooper12 12/31/2010 4:08:00 PM
I am obsessed with Ed Hardy. I'm an Ed Hardy freak, to put it simply, haha. I just looooove their stuff! I've been wanting to try their perfume for a while, because if I liked it, it would be a bonus to have the awesome bottle sitting on my dresser.:) Well, it seems that you can get the women's Ed Hardy perfume gift sets at Ulta, but you can only actually spray the men's Ed Hardy perfume. I went to Sephora recently, and saw that you could spray this one on. I've read good reviews before for it here on MUA, so sprayed some on. Well, to me, it was nothing special. I didn't really enjoy it, but didn't hate it either. On me, it was just a middle-of-the-road, unoriginal scent that wasn't really my style. Maybe it would smell better on other people, but it didn't work for me. Oh well! Since perfumes smell different on everyone, you could definitely get a better experience from this than I did. So, I'm not trying to discourage you from buying it, but I'm not highly recommending it either. Sooo...*scratches head*...have a happy new year!:)

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Lotion
zooper12 12/31/2010 3:58:00 PM
I love this scent- it's one of my favorite BBW scents! It smells so good, like sugar cookies! I got this in the big tube, which is normally 12 USD, but I got it for free with a coupon when I spent 10 USD there. Me and my sister both use this, so it's getting kind of low. I would imagine us being able to share one in this size and have it last for maybe 4 months with daily usage, as I don't use it daily. It's really moisturizing, and nice for my veeerrrryyy dry skin. The scent is a bonus! I use it on my whole body (except for my face), and the delicious smell lingers on me for literally the whole day, when put on in the morning! Sometimes I can even faintly smell it early the next day. I love this!!!!

Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Strawberry Milkshake 3 in 1
zooper12 12/31/2010 3:45:00 PM
I absolutely looooove this! I have always seen the Philosophy, yummy scented bath products and such on shopstyle.com, and at Ulta and Sephora, and I've always wanted them sooo bad, as I have a weakness for fruity and food-y scents. (But they're pretty expensive.) So, I asked for Philosophy bath/shower products for Christmas, and ended up getting this, and I was so happy! I also want to try the strawberry milkshake recipe on the front of the bottle.:) I had to unscrew the top to smell it, though, because I couldn't smell it just by flipping the little thing at the top. It smells very good, like strawberry shortcake. The consistency appeared to be relatively viscous, and it was a light-medium pink color with faint, slight white swirls in it. (I think?)Anyways, I like to use shower gels and the like as body washes, I prefer not to use them on my hair. When I took a shower, I squirted a tiny amount of this on my pouf (I normally only need the smallest amount of body wash on my pouf to get a good lather.) I like stuff that lathers a lot, and this was good in that department! The lather was white, and I could smell it as I was putting on, but sadly, I couldn't smell a trace of it on my skin after it was rinsed off and I got out of the shower. That can be a good thing, though, in that it won't clash with any perfume/body mist I put on. If you like food-y scents, but wear perfume and such, this is recommended! Oh, and I forgot to mention that it wouldn't come out if I just flipped the top; I had to unscrew the top to get it out (it was difficult to squeeze out when I only flipped the little thing), just as I had to do to smell it. That is why the packaging gets a four.

Polishes -Revlon - Scented - Gum Drop #325
zooper12 12/19/2010 11:36:00 AM
This is awesome!I usually don't gravitate towards lavender colors;I usually prefer medium/dark purples. But I was excited to try this because it's scented and the color's really pretty!with two coats, this was perfect!it dried pretty fast.this smells like regular n/p when wet,but it smells yummy if u hold ur nails up to ur nose when it's dry.this actually smells like bubblegum to me more than gum drops, but they're both good, sweet, candy scents,so *shrug*.the scent does fade after three or four days, but you're left with a nice color on your nails!I would recommend this as a nice,Easter-y,spring-y,pastel color.

Polishes -Avon - Nailwear Nail Enamel Midnight Plum
zooper12 12/19/2010 11:11:00 AM
This is such a pretty, pretty color.perfect for fall and winter!it's a deep, plum purple.you need about two coats to cover up the streakiness of the first, and make the color more intense.with two coats, this is black if glanced at for one second.but upon closer inspection,it's a beautiful deep plum!this is very streaky, and luckily doesn't stain the nails, even without a base coat, which I shldve used anyways.I actually tried this at a friends house.if u cannot stand streakiness, don't try this, but if u think u can make it work,go for it!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights
zooper12 12/19/2010 10:37:00 AM
I smelled this on a magazine sample and actually loved it!but of course, there was tht magazine-y undertone (I love how magazines smell for some reason, btw!;D)I sprayed this on one arm in ulta.i gave the packaging a four, because I think the bottle perfectly describes it,but it was really hard to spray some.on me,u could tell it was the same perfume I smelled in the magazine, but this one note(I don't know perfume notes too well)just took over and dominated everything.it was very strong, too, and when I was in the parking lot,the wind wafted it all around us,and in the car,it practically attacked our noses.it's too strong for it's own good.even if I liked this scent,I'm not sure I would be able to pull it off, because it smells really mature and adult.if u like this, then ur in luck, because it has excellent staying power.(I tried scrubbing it off,to no avail.)oh yeah, and a few hours later,it somehow became a little sweeter?and all that overwhelmingness was from one spray on one arm.so,uh,don't overdo it with this perfume.:)
