Just your typical shine serum, as far as I'm concerned. No special weightlessness, and I can buy the same thing from Citre Shine for a lot less.
This isn't very moisturizing, but it is the first eye cream I've used that allows me to go sans concealer. My major concern is dark eye circles and red lids, and it works brilliantly for that. Only problem is the price. But I found it for $15 on Ebay--would definitely check there first.
This stuff is great for wispy, fine hair that won't hold a style. I have medium length hair and use about a dime sized dollop--starting at the roots, run through my hair, and round brush. It doesn't feel any different, per se--still a nice wispyness, but the volume stays almost all day long. I will say that the consistency and packaging make you wonder whether the bedhead people decided to play an extremely pornographic joke on its public. Oh well, works great, so I don't care.
Perfect color--same horrible formula. Revlon is really disappointing.
I moved from red to light brown with very, very poor results--my hair was practically a yellow orange. Always use ash dye, which helps; but when it starts fading, get that horrible brassy stuff again. This is a fabulous fix, and gives me the light brown I'm looking for w/ none of the brass. I put it on 2x wk in the bath while I'm shaving my legs, for about 5 minutes, and then I use a deep conditioner. I don't think I could use more than 2x week tho because it is very drying. But as a treatment, if you will, it does just what it is supposed to do.
Definitely firms, definitely moisturizes. But I really hate the smell--smells like flowery chemical cleaners to me. But does the job, and cheap, too.
Self Tanners -Neutrogena - Build A Tan Face SPF 15

MY FACE IS ORANGE. Really, need I say more? Oh yes, I am really, really pissed. Edit: ok, tried it again, when I already had a bit of a real tan, and it looks pretty good. Probably no good for extremely PPPs, but will work for someone with a bit more natural color.
I have very sensitive rosaecea combo skin, prone to breakouts, and this has been a real blessing. Cheap, and really calms my skin down. I think I've been always trying to get rid of the oil and acne to the extent that I end up drying out my skin horribly. This has shockingly not broken me out and has helped cut down the redness tremendously.
Foundations -Cover Girl - Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Makeup
yumino 4/5/2006 9:05:00 PM
I bought this to use after I work out over the lunch hour--it is perfect for this purpose. I use Ivory, and I was a bit scared to go with CG because of bad experiences in colors before, but I swear this looks better than any Prescriptives/EL match I've ever gotten. Super quick app, seems like it has good lasting power (on my extremely combo skin), and amazingly natural coverage while still providing good coverage! I have acne prone skin, but haven't had any of the problems similarly situated users cite. Downsides: packaging. This is a very big compact IMO. Also, a bit more matte than I would pick. Would also rec replacing the sponge AT LEAST once every two weeks--gets nasty quick.
Love love love the color--glinty orangy faded red. I get so many compliments on it when I first put it on. Problem is that it is no better than lip balm--it is off in five seconds, no kidding. I couldn't possibly spend this much money on this stuff again. EDIT: maybe it is worth it, just for the color. Upped my lip count to four.
Styling Products -Physique - Volumizing Hair Spray [DISCONTINUED]
yumino 2/2/2006 7:33:00 PM
I tried this based on the recs here, and am very glad I did. Provides moderate control without being crunchy, and holds ALL DAY. That's a first for my baby fine hair. I'm worried that it's being discontinued, tho--was on clearance at Walgreens. I've been running around to each one to score them for $4. If you're traveling, beware! took two plane trips recently, and each time it leaked all over my toiletry bag. Definitely keep that cap.
Treatments -Alpha Hydrox - AHA Souffle 12 percent Glycolic AHA
yumino 1/17/2006 9:32:00 AM
This broke me out--when it didn't make my skin oily and dry, at the same time. Definite no for acne prone skin.
Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Retro Glow Face Lace Balancing Face Powder
yumino 1/14/2006 10:10:00 AM
The product is great--an "unpowder", with no chalkiness or any of the negatives one normally associates with pressed powder. My gripe is the packaging--yes, it is cute, but for touch ups, there is no way you can fit a sponge/puff in the compact. The design is awful, product's great.
Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - White Tea and Ginger (All Products)
yumino 12/31/2005 9:12:00 AM
Someone said the ginger has a kick--my god does it kick! This is the best BBW scent by far--nonfruity, unisex (IMO), and just lovely. Some people have said it is a good summer scent, but I like it for autumn-winter. Asked too and they're phasing it out in 2006... typical.
Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Toast of New York

This is a subtle red-brown-orange that is really gorgeous on me, and it lasts forever with lipliner. My stepmother is a redhead and it looks great on her; I have gold/brown hair and it works for me too. Definitely a shade for warmer folks.
