Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30

Not liking this product. I bought it because a friend uses it. I have normal to dry skin with some dry patches. I don't find that this to absorbs quickly and the more you rub it into your skin, the more it pills up and the more it pills the more you want to rub it and the worse it gets. At the end, I look like I have stuff all over my face. Yuck.
Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O
yin2 12/13/2007 11:44:00 PM
i love this stuff. my skin is normal and well behaved if i keep my skin routine simple and non-abrasive. this cleanser suits it. its kinda expensive, but i refuse to use anything else. its very gentle and doesn't dry out my skin. highly recommend! my HG!
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment
yin2 7/9/2006 4:29:00 PM
i use this on my lips at night and its awesome! seriously heels dry lips overnight and for 99 cents for the small tube at walgreens, how can you complain? my HG thanks to MUA! you want soft lips? then you'll want aquaphor!
i would buy this again, but really...when would i need to? THIS IS A HUGE TUB! i'll prob end up handing it down to my children or something. i got this because of the rave reviews here. i've been having dry skin, flakey, tight and this just cures all that. then again, i have SUPER dry skin, so my skin loves this. i use this for night and day, but not all the time. with a lot of usage, my skin might end up looking too oily. i've had problems with moisturizers in the past not being moisturizing enough and leaving little bumps on my skin, with this..NOTHING except clear moisturized soft skin! makeup application has gotten better and smoother. one thing i dont like is having to dip my fingers into this tub, but thats what i get for buying the tub! its not very travel friendly, so i put this in my ex-moisturizer's jar for traveling convenience. one of my guy friends has great skin, and i noticed he had this in his bathroom! so there ya go, you can't go wrong.
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
yin2 7/9/2006 3:56:00 PM
you will not believe how many i have given out as presents because ALL of my friends want it after they see mine and tried it. will not BUDGE at all, easy application with the right brush (i use MAC 263). i will never use another eyeliner in my life! my friend has the bobbi brown version of this, but MAC is cheaper, so go with this one! MY HG!
Mascara -Shu Uemura - Mascara Basic [DISCONTINUED]
yin2 7/9/2006 3:51:00 PM
i absolutely love this product, thanks to the reviews here. like many people have said, it does not clump, goes on very smoothly, and i've never had a problem with smudging. i'm asian with short straight eyelashes. during the daytime, i use this mascara alone for a more natural look, but when i want to go for some drama, i use this with shiseido mascara base. i think the two are a winning combo. i've noticed with other mascaras, combined with the mascara base, it clumps and it becomes spidery. with the mascara basic, because of the gel formula, it goes on smooth with no clumps, and makes my eyelashes thick and long. i highly recommend this!
Powder -Chanel - Double Perfection Compact Teint Poudre Mat Eclat [DISCONTINUED]
yin2 7/9/2006 3:44:00 PM
i got this as a gift, but i know this is an expensive compact, but i say it is WORTH IT! when i first wore this, my friend was complimenting how nice my skin was while we were on our flight. when i told her i had on powder, she was amazed, and since she was sitting next to me, she got a good look at my skin and she was like "WOW, i thought powders show up powdery on your skin but you can't see it at all!" it is hard to find a good match, i think my shade is still a LITTLE light for my skintone, but it still works. the packaging is very chanel and you can never complain about that. i dont have much redness, but some acne scarring, overall it has a good coverage. i haven't tried it wet yet. this gives a matte finish and just makes your skin look so flawless. my one complaint, that i haven't seen here, is the smell. i'm not sure if its my compact, but there's this odor that i cannot take. it goes away after a few minutes, but it just smells like old makeup. i'm thinking it might be my compact, since no one else complained about it.
Moisturizers -Bobbi Brown - Extra SPF 25 Moisturizing Balm

I love this product so much, and so does my friends, I've turned them into BB TM fanatics. This is DEF for extra dry skin girls, unless you like a more dewy look to your skin. I love the texture, the SPF, and how it doesn't look cakey on your skin. It matches my asian skintone much better than Laura Mercier's TM. Get a sample and try it!
i adore this color! its a nudey pinky peach color with gold specks on my lips. looks great with smokey eyes or as an everyday color. i think it works with all skintones. works great layered over l/s too. i thought i lost this once and i almost cried! i love it, def repurchase before its gone (its LE)!
Lip Treatments -MAC - Tinted Lip Conditioner- Fuchsia Fix
yin2 2/23/2004 3:21:00 PM
holy moley u get a tub load. i dont think i'll ever run out. i love the way this feels on my lips, and the color lasts longer than other tinted balms i've used. color is more like YLBB not BRIGHT pink. it goes on sheer and yea i have to apply it w/a brush, which is YEAH annoying. BUT hey..u get a lot of it and it lasts and it makes lips kissably soft (actually i wouldn't know yet ;) HEHE) all for a price of $13.50
its about time i took this off my wishlist! i finally go to go to the counter and tried it on. at first i thought it was too orangey (i'm a PPP/LLL asian yellow tone) cuz i usually wear Jane's blushing blossom (more pinkish). so i decided to walk around the mall before deciding. well, you know when you look good when you bump into friends and they say "WOW, u look really good today!" and my friend w/me said i looked "alive and glowing". well THAT did it. i bought it. i wore it today for the first time on campus and i keep gettin compliments! i'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because of the price. i think its worth the $22.50 tho. my HG blush are now: Jane's blushing blossom and orgasm!
Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - Shimmer Loose Powder in Sundust
yin2 2/3/2004 1:31:00 AM
wow, my first bronzer and i love it! BB MA suggested it for me! i'm a PPP and it really does look good, not orangey. dust a little bit on cheeks, forehead, and chin, a little goes a long way. i sometimes substitute this for blush. i can use it all over my body too. i put this on for the first time and my bestfriend said to me "WOW! whatever you just bought was WORTH IT!" really makes me look glowy in a sunkissed way. one thing i'm not too fond of is the packaging. it just SPILLS over if i toss it in my bag. when i open it, its just everywhere. i wish there was somethign blocking it from coming all out, like a poof or a sponge. i still love it tho!
my HG concealer! i can't imagine using anything else! the consistency is soo great! doens't crease, or make dry patches worse. i have it in warm sand, covers my asian yellow-tone skin perfectly! use this for blemishes only, a nordstrom MA made me promise her that, hehe... packaging is great, small but lots of product, fits so well in a purse. can't rave enuff! now gotta find that perfect undereye circle concealer =/
Treatments -Clinique - Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer
yin2 1/12/2004 2:15:00 PM
got this as a sample in a GWP, well..after reading all the reviews on here, i really hoped it would work. it DIDN'T. it did nothing for my skin and it just made it worse. my skin broke out more after using this. i really need something like this for my skin, even tho i'm in my early 20's. glad it works for other ppl! just not me =/
on my 2nd bottle, just cuz i can't find anything that works better. can't call it my HG tho. it does take awhile to use up the small bottle. it stings sometimes on application, but it makes me feel like its working. the trick w/this is to apply it right away when a pimple is starting to form, that little red bruise..you know what i'm talking about! it will prevent it from gettin worse. my only rant is that the bottle tends to leak from the opening, like when i twist open the cap, it starts SPEWING out, what a waste, cuz this stuff dries quickly. i think for $10 is totally worth it. i started buying this cuz it was in instyle's best beauty products in 2001.
