Note: This review is about the mascara in the Skinny Mini Duo. The full-sized one may be different. The brush didn't work for me at all. The bristles form a screw shape, and huge amount of mascara just sit in the groove. The brush does a really poor job of separating lashes. My lashes are particularly sparse and this mascara just clumps them all together. I don't plan on trying the full-sized one, because the brush looks like it will have the same problem.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Caresse Shine Stain / Shine Caresse

I personally love this lip stain, but it has some problems, and it's not a product I would recommend to everyone. This gloss is non-drying, long-lasting, and while it does have a scent, I don't find it objectionable. It is very very sticky. The gloss does dry down after a bit, but the sticky feeling never goes away completely. I don't mind that, but I know some people won't like it. Also for everyone with pigmented lips like me, remember that this is a lip stain, and any shades lighter than your nature lip colour is not going to show up all that well.

This is one of the worst mascara I've ever tried. I got both the waterproof and washable versions, and neither are any good.

Mascara -Urban Decay - Cannonball

The mascara does what it says it will, but nothing to write home about. It really does live up to the ultra-waterproof claim, and it holds curve really well. It's decent at volumizing and good at lengthening, but again, nothing to write home about. So how much you like this is going to depend on what you need a mascara to do. If you need something that holds curl and is not going to budge, this would be the one for you. For me, I need a lot more volume and length given how sparse my lashes are. One thing to note: cannonball is a fibre mascara, so when I put on one too many coat, my lashes would look very "lumpy". Sometimes I also get little pieces of mascara breaking free and ending up on my face, but that's pretty minimum.

Love how easily the liquid comes out for this pen, the shape of the tip is easy to work with, and it's super black. However, the liner doesn't last all that long. I got significant smudging within 3 hours.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Smitten

I like the idea of lip stains, but always had problems with the colors not showing up on my pigmented lips. This one doesn't just show up, it shows up almost true (my own lip color still peaks through, there's no helping it). Chapped lips is another common problem I have with lip stains, but this one really does live up to the 'balm stain' name. It's comparable to most of the moisturizing lipsticks I've tried. I also have the kissable balm stain in Romantic, and while that color doesn't work as well on me, the performance is just as great.

Pro: lengthens well enough, the colour is very black Con: very very clumpy, hardly volumizes This mascara may work for you if all you need is to darken and lengthen your lashes. Otherwise, not recommended.

Polishes -Revlon - Creme Brulee

Great polish. Looks like a champagne color to me, shimmer/frosh finish. Opaque in 2 coats, and dries pretty fast. Will definitely repurchase if I ever use up the bottle.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Stay Glossy

I got this in the color "all day seduction", a coral red with gold shimmer. Overall it's a pretty solid gloss. Comfortable wear, great shine, and reasonable wear time. The wear time is definitely not the claimed 6 hours and the gloss is not super pigmented. It also has a scent and a hint of a taste, but nothing really noticeable. I really like the packaging. There's a stopper, and with the paddle-shaped sponge applicator, it pulls out the just the perfect amount of product each time for me (YMMV).

Not the biggest fan of high-shine lip gloss, but I love how moisturizing this gloss is. It's even better than some of the lip balms I've tried.

Lip Gloss -Essence - Stay With Me

I got it in the colour "My Favorite Milkshake". The gloss is moisturizing, relatively long lasting, and has great packaging & applicator. But ppl with pigmented lips should stay away from this particular colour, it doesn't show up on my lips. Also note, this gloss is a bit sticky. It's less sticky than MAC lipglass, but more sticky than the NYX mega shine. At the price point (CND 2.99), I'll definitely try a darker colour when it's on sale.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream

Having very dry skin, I loved the idea of cleansing my face using a cream. However, I am sensitive to DMDM hydantoin (which is included in the new formula) and developed a mild rash immediate after using the cream. This is what I get for not reading the ingredient list (or MUA) before buying a product :P

Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - Radiance SPF 15 Day Lotion

This lotion does the job, and it's one of the few drugstore physical sunscreens out there. However, the lotion feels very heavy and tacky on the face, even though it's not especially moisturising. The fragrance is too strong, and it is difficult to apply. This lotion needs to be rubbed into the skin very well, otherwise it would leave white streaks or even flakes off the skin. I will not repurchase after the current bottle's finished.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter

Pro: pigmented, comfortable wear, moisturising Con: inconvenient packaging, short wear time This lip butter is much more moisturising than the average lipstick, but not enough to replace a lip balm. Wear time is about 2 hours for me. The packaging has a very small base, and it can be difficult to get a good hold when trying to take off the cap. I got 5 of them, and will definitely repurchase some of the colours. My favourites are Pink Truffle, Tutti Fritti, and Candy Apple.
