Hair -Carol's Daughter - Khoret Amen Hair Oil

So far the oil is working well. The smell is pretty nice, though it somewhat clashes with some of the shampoo/conditioners that I use...The oil is supposed to stimulate hair growth, so it'll take so time to see if that happens - but overall it is a nice heavy oil that I use sparingly after washing and also use in abundance for hot oil treatments.

it works well - however other cheaper clay masks are just as good in my opinion . . .

i wanted to like this because the origins line has worked well for me - unfortunately, it didn't do anything for me but add shine:(

a good mild cleanser that is not too drying or harsh...i sometimes feel like a need something a bit stronger - but if my skin is just acting normal that day this is a good wash i often use before going to bed.

while it wasn't terrible - there are too many other products on the market that are much better...i used like more than half the container in one conditioning mask treatment...but in all fairness i do have a lot of hair.

Hair -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease - Relax - Ripple Effect WaveMaker Spray
rated 2 of 5

added a bit of wave to my relaxed hair, but nothing more than simply scrunching it would have provided...it wasn't damaging or drying though which was good.

not too great - - i generally used on dry hair and it tended to leave a buildup film on my hair and did't provide too much moisture

Lipstick -MAC - Frost lipstick in Tantress

I generally like the color - but its not as moisturizing as I prefer and it dulls/fades pretty quickly...I actually prefer drugstores brands more than this one (the moisture whip line)

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Creme
rated 4 of 5

I had really high hopes for this conditioner. I have very very dry chemically relaxed hair and I need to regularly deep condition to keep my hair moisturized. I put this on and put on a self heating cap for about 30 minutes and rinsed. My hair felt very soft after the rinse - but after it dried - my hair felt strong but not so soft...I'll continue to use it but I will probably search for something better and more moisturizing...

Liquid -Maybelline - Smooth Results foundation [DISCONTINUED]

I truly love this product. It goes on so well over my skin and has a great finish. My skin is dry, so I like the oil in the foundation - it really gives my skin a fresh dewey sort of glow. I have to make sure to was it off in the evening because the oil can lead to acne, even on dry skin - though thankfully my skin is not so acne prone. I can wear this during the day, but I often opt to wear this in the night because of the great dramatic effect I get from it. I also really like that they have a large selection of colors for african american women, and women of color generally. And of course, you can't beat the price!

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
rated 1 of 5

I must say, I liked this product at first because of the neat tingle, environment friendly background of the company and all - - -however, I believe this is the culprit for a contact dermatitis I got on my lips! I went to the dermatologist and she said it was probably from toothpaste, nickel, mint, cinnamon - anything that can cause sensitivity. Well, through process of elimination - I am pretty certain that this lip balm was the culprit...I must be allergic to beeswax.
