This is one heavy duty foundation...if you need/want full coverage this is it. I can ususally go without concealor when I use it. I actually have the perfect color M52, when my skin is misbehaving, not a smooth as I like it, I reach for this. Nothing bad to say and will repurchase in the future.
Makeup Brushes -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Airbrushing Kabuki Brush

I've had this brush for about 2 years. I'm getting ready to purchase another one. I wear liquid foundation, I apply my foundation with fingers or beauty blender, let it set for a few minutes and then buff over my entire face with this brush. My foundation looks airbrushed and flawless. Can't imagine not using it. I've also found it applys blush like a dream, its fairly large so I only use 1/2 of the brush for blush application. It makes any blush look perfect.
Liquid -Yves Saint Laurent - Teint Touche Eclat Foundation

Very expensive, beuatiful packaging, the smell is divine, perfect color, blends like a dream...after that its ALL downhill....it looks gorgeous when first applied, but within a very short time it made my face look like a greaseball...and the kicker was even though my face was glowing like I was in the middle of a hot flash, there was no foundation to be seen!!! I honestly don't know how that happened??? I am now powdering over it with a huge amt of powder, just so I can look like I'm not a fry cook on a smoke break. Its going back to Sephora on Monday.
I purchased the #3 last week...have been using it daily over the YSL foundation. Its not a bad product, it does counteract some of the darkness beneath my eyes, but nothing more than a decent concealor/brightner would do. I noticed that it is not very long wearing, I had to reapply after about 4 hours. I will use it up, but won't repurchase. I just can't justify this price tag with how the product performs.
What happened to the formulation of this product? I have been using this foundation for at least 10 years. It would last all day long, never fading til I took it off. I just purchased a new bottle....what a train wreck....within 6 hours all my foundation was gone!!! I thought maybe it was a fluke, tried it 2 more times, same thing. So I returned it to Belks. The sales person said that she had 3 returns just this week with the same complaint. I contacted the estee lauder company and asked about the new formulation, the rep swore up and down no changes were made...LIAR! The new box lists a different formulation. Why is the company denying this? I have always enjoyed estee lauder products but this lack of honesty directly from a company rep has me questioning their integrity.
Bath Treatments -Olay - Ultra Moisture In-shower Body Lotion with Shea Butter

Where has this been hiding??? I have legs dryer than the Sahara desert, I have to lube these babies up after every shower or bath, cause if I don't I will scratch my legs until they bleed and I do it in my sleep! I saw this on WM.com, they were being sold in a bundle of 2 for under $6. I read the reviews and they all seemed extremely good. So, I took a chance and ordered them plus a few other odds and ends...hey free shipping to my home, why not? They arrived 3 days later. I took my nightly shower and then used this "lube" as directed. Just rub into wet skin, rinse off and dry off as usual. Holy Cow...I am astounded how well this works. My legs felt moisturized but not greasy ( I hate that greasy feeling) and the smell is very gentle. But the real amazement was when I woke up the next morning, my legs still felt soft and lightly moisturized. I have already ordered 4 more bottles, this stuff is going to be a life saver this summer.
I don't hate this product, I just find it mediocre. I'm light/med and have been using this powder for about 3 weeks. The color is fine, but truly don't see what all the hype is about. It sets my foundation/concealor just like any other powder I have used. The price is good, there's alot of product in that little shaker jar. I may repurchase because of price alone but not because its a better than average product.
Fragrances -Parfums de Coeur - Body Fantasies Cotton Candy
yankeerose 12/11/2012 9:50:00 PM
I crack up when I read...I'm too old for this product, and the poster is in their 20's!!! I'm 50...yes 50, and I rock this scent. But I do not use it alone...because its sweet, it mixes extremely well with Bulgari Black which is one of my HG's. BB is extremely sexy, smokey, and leathery, but sometimes I just want to "girly" it up a bit. Thats where body fantasies cotton candy comes in. Just a quick spray on the back of my neck and I'm smelling sweet, yet sexy. Can't beat that.
This is the first time I've tried Lancome foundation...Wow I love this. I like a med/full coverage foundation, but some full coverage ones are just a bit too much coverage, and of course the med coverage just isn't enough. I've been using 2 different types to get the look I wanted. Not any more...I honestly wish everyone of you could try this, it goes on smoothly with fingers, beauty blender or foundation brush. If I need to add a touch more to areas, it blends in seamlessly. And every concealer I have used over this works wonderfully. I've used cinema secrets, erase paste, glamoflauge, Mary Kay and age rewind...all blend in perfectly with this foundation. And it lasts all day long...I'm not saying 8 hours, I mean ALL day long. If you can get a sample to try, please do, you may find your holy grail too.
I will admit that I love Dior shadows. They work for me. I like their silkiness, blendablility and longevity. This pallet has not disappointed. It contains 2 ivory/white shadows, one has a satin finish, the other has a very sparkly finish. It also contains a black powder liner that can easily be used wet or dry, or even as a shadow. As all Dior shadow pallets, there is the 2 sponge tip applicators. The cool thing about this pallet is the way the mirror pops up when you slide the case open. Its like a little vanity mirror. But onto the products....I love makeup, I mean ALL makeup...from ELF to Chanel. But everyone has their fav brands for certain things...for me there is no shadow like Dior. These shadows go on sheer...they are ivory/white, and are meant to be used alone, not as highlighters. When I wear this, my eyes sparkle, but my shadow does not. It just adds a very suble glow that doesn't scream "its makeup", it just makes my eyes look glowy...sort of romantic. Yep, this is a keeper!
I have this in V1720 ghost. My goodness this is beautiful. It is explained as a silvery lavender. When used lightly as a wash it seems almost lavender/pale gray. It is one of those colors that really shouldn't compete with any other colors. Its sublte but very unique. I plan on using this almost like a signature look...all over wash, tight line bottom and top lashes and mascara. As I'm getting older, I'm realizing that less is more in the shadow dept. My eyes pop when they are not competing with smokey shadows etc. This shadow is expensive ($25) for a single color...but I'm purchasing another as back up, its perfect.
I got a small sample size of Orgasm from Sephora. I've read the hype and since my skintone is light/med (more on the med side), I didn't think this would work for me. I was wrong....its actually beautiful and I could kick myself for not trying it sooner. On me this shows much more pink than peach, which I'm happy about cause strong peach tones do not work for me. I'm very impressed with how easily this blends and it lasts easily 8 hours with no touch ups. Even though NARS is a very high end company, I may have to investigate more of their blushes.
I received a trial.... Its defintely floral, I can also smell some type of herb mix , it has this cool hippie vibe to it. I also smell a bit of mint, but somewhere in this mix is pepper, I'm really loving that little surprise. This is not a cheap smelling fragrance, its meant for a young woman with discriminating tastes in scents. You really need to understand sublte nuances to really appreciate it. If your looking for a pure floral, or sweet in your face scent, this is not the fragrance for you. If you are someone who understands that fragrance changes as its being worn, and can appreciate those changes as they develope, this will delight you.
I have more perfume/cologne/body sprays from the highest end to WM...but this one fragrance is the most unique. It is actually formulated for men, but I believe the vanilla makes it one hellava sexy woman's scent. It is definitely a autumn/winter fragrance, and MUST be used sparingly. When I wear this, not only do I receive compliments from strangers...but I feel sexy wearing it. Now I will say, that I wear most scents to please others, since we don't really smell our scent after a short while, but this one makes me want to strut my stuff. I do not feel pretty when I wear it, I feel biker chick sexy to the bone. (yes, I am a biker chick, but spend most of my days wearing a lab coat) . I don't know if its the rubber smell or what, but its amazing, dangerous and not for the timid. It is the only fragrance that smells the same from the time I put it on, til it wears completely away. I love it.
I am loving this product, but not for the usual reasons. I have full lips, but they are constantly dry/chapped etc. I am the person that MUST have something on their lips all the time or they will be sandpaper the next day...YUK. I hate wearing lipbalm at night, it just feels heavy, my hair gets stuck in it, it sticks to my pillow cases, really just can't stand it. A friend of mine gave me a bit of this cream in a jar and told me to use it on my lips at night...WooHoo, not only were my lips soft as satin, but they were also plumped up! Now I don't know much about what ingredients do etc, but I do know when a product does something amazing...and this one does. It has no smell, and sinks right in. This has become my newest addiction.
