Palettes -Catrice - Absolute Nude
rated 5 of 5
yaiza123 6/3/2013 1:38:00 PM

Whats not to love :) Seriously good stuff. When I heard Catrice came with a nude eyeshadow pallete I just had to have it. Personally I dont really wear eyeshadow a lot, but I do have quite some palettes laying around for when I do (sleek, make-up geek, coastal scents etc.) and now I recently added this one. I dont have any experience with high-end brands, so I have nothing like that to compare it with. This palette contains 6 eyeshadows (1gr each). The first 2 shades are highlighters (yellowy-beige, pink-beige). 3th is a Light brown shade, 4th a warm brown shade with a lil bit of a golden undertone. 5th taupish brown and the 6th a dark brown shade. All definitelly very neutral colors perfect for a day-to day eyelook. The back of the pallete says some of the shades are matt, but thats bull :P They all have a satin finish, with a lil bit of shimmer. Definitelly not too much though. They are easy to apply, not much fall out. The pigmentation is pretty good, only the 1st and 4th shade are a lil bit less. Nothing you cant solve with applying a bit more. It comes with a brush and sponge tip applicator. Generally I toss these, but this one is actually pretty decent. Made a whole eye-look with that applicator alone. You cant really make a heavy smokey eye with these, but adding a seperate black will definitelly do the trick. All and all not much negative to mention about this. Good pigmentation, hardly any fall out, decent amount of product, enough shades to make a nice eyelook and even the brush apllicator works well. Oh and did I mention its 5 bucks :P

Liquid -MAC - Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation
rated 3 of 5
yaiza123 6/3/2013 1:20:00 PM

I've been looking for a full coverage foundation suitable for dry skin for ages. It seemed like an impossible task, but then I heard of studio sculpt. After hearing good reviews and liking other Mac products I gave it ago. In my opinion this foundation isnt bad, i would have given it 3,5 lippies if possible. This does definitelly work best for dry skin. It has a gel like consistency which slides on very easy and is also quite easy to blend. It gives a nice glow to the face, the coverage is at least medium and can be build up to full. Didnt have a nasty smell or anything, so I was definitelly pleased. Sounds wonderfull I know. So what was wrong with it: Well basically it gives a nice glow to the face and coverage is pretty cool, but it will only last for a couple of hours maybe 4-5. After that you can see the foundation has settled and your skin problems seem to shine through (in my case flakes, dark spots etc). So its definitelly not long lasting. Also made me a bit oily on my nose and i never have oil problems what so ever. Besides this its very very easy to apply too much, if you put too much it looks fake, very unnatural. Color wise, its pretty decent. I have the color NC 20 which is a yellowy-orange color. This kinda worried me, but after applying it looks very much like my own skincolor. All and all definitelly decent foundation. The fact that its not long lasting is a dealbreaker though, which mean I wont repurchase.

Mascara -Estee Lauder - Sumptuous Extreme
rated 5 of 5
yaiza123 12/14/2012 3:14:00 PM

YES finally found a HG product. This mascara is amazing. My eyelashes are relatively long (thanks to li-lash) but they dont really curl. When I use this my eyelashes get huge (reach my eyebrow and anything :p). Gives nice volume as well and the curl lasts all the day. Also it doesnt flake. My previous favourite (max factor false lash effect) had the tendency to do that, so Im quite glad this one doesnt :). I cant really name anything negative bout this mascara exept the price. 28 bucks is of course ridiculous, I was lucky enough to find this with 40% off. Though I think that if I would run out I would pay fullprice for this since it really is that great :)

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector for Combination to Oily Skin - Light
rated 4 of 5
yaiza123 11/29/2012 4:28:00 PM

Ok I gotta hand it down to garnier, after that horrible BB cream they produced at first, this isnt bad stuff ^^ Since I dont think western companies are all that great at making actual BB creams, with spf and benificial ingredients for your skin I will disregard that in this review (lets just say it isnt present in this bb cream). Basically I always look at this as a decent foundation. Its very liquid if you put a drop on your hand it could drip off. So before applying I was pretty convinced this couldnt possibly give any coverage. But it did :) It has a medium coverage, which can probably be build up to full. Its quite easy to apply and you actually dont need much product to get the job done. After applying it gives a nice demi-matte finish. However there are some things I dislike. The colour (light) is quite a peachy shade, this might be good for some people but I wished this had a more yellow tone (doesnt come in many shades all together). Also I dont think this lasts all that long, maybe 4-5 hours. The thing I disliked the most is the fact that it really does emphazise dry patches, I have quite a lot of those, so thats pretty annoying. In the end I wanted to give it 3 lippies instead of 4, but I do think this is good stuff especially for girls with combo or oily skin. Its pretty cheap 10 bucks for 40 ml and also the fact that garnier listend to their consumers is something which is worth rewarding in my opinion :) But when it comes down to it, I probably wont repurchase.

Cleansers -Paula's Choice - Skin Recovery Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
yaiza123 11/24/2012 8:47:00 PM

After trying a lot of PC products and not seeing much results in a lot of them I was about to give up hope. Thankfully I did not :) Recently I orded this cleanser since I was looking for a good cleanser for dry skin. I have dry acne prone skin, which is also quite flaky. So I was looking for something which wouldnt cause break outs and hopefully help a bit with the flakyness. Im so happy with this :) Its a very milky like texture and removes make-up very well. Its also very soft and gentle and I havent noticed any break outs since I used this. I've been using this for 2 weeks together with some samples I got from the resist toner and the AHA 8% exfolliant (BHA, only causes more break outs for me) and my skin has totally cleared up. Its no longer flaky and my break outs are now up to a minimum. I really recommend this cleanser for everybody with dry (acneprone) skin. The only thing I dislike is the smell, it smells really bad. The cleanser doesnt contain any perfume, so I have no idea what it is, but It aint nice. However who cares if it works this great anyway :P

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Resilience Lift Extreme - Ultra Firming Makeup SPF 15
rated 1 of 5
yaiza123 11/11/2012 3:12:00 PM

I'm so truly dissapointed in this foundation. I have been on the hunt for a full covering foundation for dry skin for a while now. After hearing great things about futurist I wanted to give that one a go. But since my country only sell 5 shades of futurist and online there isnt any possible website you can order a sample or fullsize of futurist which ships internationally, I decided to switch to resilience lift. Since I heard it was practically the same thing (for futurist sake, I hope not). Anyways in the estee lauder foundation shades im always in the '2' range and yellow undertones so I ordered a sample of 2W Dusk. Well first of all the colour is a bit weird. It has a yellow undertone but at the same time looks a bit orange after you applied it. The foundation itself has a bit of a mouse texture I find. Its very sticky and difficult to blend. Also I didnt really like the smell. But I could overlook all those things, if it would at least work with my dy flaky spots on my skin. But oh boy, was I wrong. I never had a foundation which made my dry spots stand out like this. Looked like I rubbed my skin with sandpaper. The good things of this foundation is that it is med/full coverage and it lasts pretty well. But for that price estee lauder should be embarresed xD

Liquid -Max Factor - FaceFinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1
rated 3 of 5
yaiza123 11/6/2012 8:45:00 AM

Well being a foundation junkie and seeing I was in a desperate mood I bought this product against my better judgement. This foundation is apperently a 3 in 1 product, its suppose to be a primer, concealer and foundation in one. Well that sounds fabulous, but of course like all those claims cosmetic companies make not totally true. This foundation in my opinion is just fine. It lasts relatively long +/- 8 hours, it covers fairy well. I think its like medium to full coverage and it dries to a demi matt finish. The thing I disliked is the fact that its not all the great for dry skin, if you have any dry spots it will show. But on the other hand after trying so many foundations I havent found any which wont show off dry spots. So I suppose we can forgive them for that. Also the available colours, they have 6 shades, four with a warm undertone and 2 with a cool one. First I tried the colour nude 45, that was way to light for me (normally NC 20-25), the 2 colours after that, natural and rose beige (something like that) were dark enough but had a cool undertone and I find that harder to correct that a foundation that is a bit too dark. So I went ahead and got the colour Golden 75. When I bought this product I was a bit suntanned so It looked quite well, but since now im getting more pale I realised this is WAY too dark I assume its about NC 35. So to make a long story short. Its a decent foundation not much wrong with it exept it aint that good for dehydrated skin and the available colours are a bit dissapointing. The hunt for a HG foundation continues..

Crème -Unlisted Brand - Mehron Celebre HD Pro Cream Makeup
rated 2 of 5
yaiza123 11/6/2012 8:28:00 AM

Im sure like many others I stumpled apon this foundation after wayne Goss raving review about it on youtube. Since Im always on the hunt for a HG foundation I decided to order samples of Mehron, Cinema and graftobian HD foundation (non of these were a hit, but thats for another review). Anyways not having tried a cream foundation before and since every make up artist I know clearly states cream foundations are the best for dry skin, I was very eager to try it out. First of all even though the Mehron Foundation is very creamy it did make my dry spots stand out a LOT. The thing I dislike as well is the colour. I ordered the colour LT4, which was acording to the website a warm colour. Well I dont know if i maybe got the wrong sample but this is pretty pink, Its also a tat too dark but thats the gamble I took with ordering online (Generally around NC 20-25). The thing I did like was the coverage, its around high/medium coverage and you can always sheer it out with a wet sponge. Also the lasting power was pretty decent. So I suppose this foundation could work for those who have normal/combo skin with no dry spots and need full coverage, but It definitelly wasnt for me.

Toners -Paula's Choice - Clear Targeted Acne Relief Toner with 2% Salicylic Acid for all skin types
rated 3 of 5
yaiza123 11/4/2012 10:43:00 AM

Unlike many other users I havent had great results with this product. When I first started using the clear line (cleanser + toner) I had pretty decent results. At first I was kinda worried that it would be too much for my dry, acne prone skin. But since the website said it was for all skintypes, and reading reviews from people with dry skin, I decided to give it a go. So at first I got decent results, I had less blemishes and blackheads and not much irritation from the product. However after one month of use, my skin apperently couldnt take it anymore. I got like a breakout epidemic, my intire face was covered in them. Also my skin got incredibly dry and it just looked red and irritated. For some help I contacted the customer service and they mentioned that the clear line is often too much for dry skin (Still think they should mention that on their website). So I stopt using this product and after a few days my skin felt a lot better. Now im using the moisture boost line in combination with the 2% bha, which works great. Anyway I definitelly wont repurchase, I gave it 3 lippies tho. Cause I do believe that this product will work greatly for those of us with oily skin, it just wasnt for me.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Buffing Brush
rated 5 of 5
yaiza123 11/4/2012 9:50:00 AM

This brush is totally amazing. Through the years I used quite a bit of foundation brushes, which I never really liked. I always prefered using my hands, but not anymore. This brush is very soft, with synthetic hairs, but it doesnt obsorb all the product. With this its very easy to blend your foundation and it will look flawless. Also the price its so cheap for such great quality. I cant give this brush enough praises :)

Mascara -Clinique - High Impact Mascara
rated 3 of 5
yaiza123 10/1/2012 4:32:00 PM

Im not 100% sure what to think of this mascara. I got a sample of this in a glossybox. This mascara promises to give length and boy it does. My eyelashes became huge! Totally reached my eyebrows and everything :P But it just looked a bit weird, It seperates the lashes nicely, so I cant really put my finger on it. Its probably the fact that they still look a bit thin. Sort of a spiderleg kinda look. After trying I put a volumizing mascara on top which looked much better. So if you have this problem too, that might work :)

Crème -Graftobian - High-Definition Glamour Color Creme Foundation
rated 3 of 5
yaiza123 10/1/2012 4:28:00 PM

Im pretty dissapointed in this foundation. Recently I got the warm #1 pallete. After hearing all the raving reviews, I expected a miracle worker, sadly that was not the case ^^ First of all the shades,I got the pallete since im never sure what kinda foundation shade i am. I think its about nc 20-25. Acording to the site of graftobian the first 3 colours of the pallete are Swan (NC 5), Ingenuene (NC 15), Vixen (NC 35). (discovered that page after purchase). I Just dont get why there is such a massive difference between shade 2 and 3. I tried mixing them already, but it turns out to be pretty difficult to do. Besides that I suffer from dry skin. Cream foundations are supposively better for dry skin, but not this one. Any dry spots will stand out like theres an exclimation mark next to it. But of course there are good things about this foundation too, for oily skin this will probably be amazing since it gives you a lovely demi matt finish and the foundation will last for quite a while. Therefore the 3 lippies. All and all most likely a great foundation for oily or normal skin :) but def not for dry :P

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
rated 4 of 5
yaiza123 8/13/2012 12:36:00 PM

Finally a drugstore brand with a gel liner in my country. Gotta say, love this stuff. Very pigmented product and easy to apply. It lasts for a very long time (not 24, like maybelline claims). After about 10 hours It needs some touch ups but then your good to go. However I dont think its waterproof, if i use it on my waterline it will fade quickly, also it can smudge a bit, but generally doesnt happen. All and all good product, decent price and the brush they gave you with it is pretty good as well :)

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous in Carbon Black
rated 2 of 5
yaiza123 8/13/2012 12:30:00 PM

Im so dissapointed in this product. After hearing raving reviews and the enthousiasm of marlene from make-up geek with this mascara, I gave it a go. The voluminous mascara's havent been available in my country before a couple of weeks ago, so I was totally excited when i finally found it :) Anyway after trying it for a couple of times i cant deny the fact that im very dissapointed. It makes my lashes very black, but its also very clumpy. It doesnt really add a lot of length and cant hold a curl. Also it smudges on my eyelids, which is very annoying to remove every day.Gotta admitt that my eyelashes look very weird lately for some reason a lot have fallen out, so they're relatively short now. Maybe it look better when they get to their normal size again. Either way I will not repurchase

Loose Powders -Catrice - Prime & Fine Translucent Loose Powder
rated 5 of 5
yaiza123 8/8/2012 8:44:00 AM

Great product. In my opinion this is an exact dupe for mac prep and prime loose powder, but only better and cheaper. I dont use this every day, but when i do my make up lasts almost all day. It control's shine and makes your skin looking mat. Its very cheap i think around 4 euro's and it contains 11 grams of product which is massive. Its a bit messy to apply sometimes, but Thats always the case with loose powders. All and all great stuff.
