Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Hada Labo UV Moist Emulsion SPF 50+ PA+++
xxxxx2011 11/26/2012 1:46:00 PM
This was the first (and probably the last) Japanese sunscreen I ever tried. The finish was great: no balling up, no white cast, shiny only at first, then sinks in and it is fine. I don’t find this moisturizing (and my skin isn’t dry), but doesn’t make me dry either. My issue with this sunscreen is that every time I used it I got horrible breakouts! I have acneic skin already, but when I use this product I get worst…I put it once and during that week I will get huge acne pimples. For my acneic skin, this is one of the worst products I ever came across.

Sunscreen -Bioderma - Photoderm AKN Mat SPF 40 PPD 26
xxxxx2011 6/12/2012 6:57:00 AM
Where I live, this product has been discontinued and replaced with AKN Mat spf 30 ppd 13 (with the exactly same ingredient list). Knowing how the spf 40 was, I am not surprised... It left a very obvious white cast...seriously, if this one didn't leave a white cast on you, you can put almost every euro sunscreen and don't see any white cast. (I think my sunscreen from the 90s with >10% zinc oxide was as or less whitening than this.) It left streaks, definitely wasn't good to wear with makeup or when I planned to be seen by people. The "water-resistance" was weak and the fragrance was a bit strong for my liking.

Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Effaclar Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream
xxxxx2011 5/22/2012 6:39:00 PM
I feel that I deserve a gift for using a cleanser this long... I have been using this cleanser for 2 weeks (before this, I only been able to use one cleanser for more than 5 days without irritation or breaking out - yes, I am that lucky). It cleanses without drying out my combination/oily skin, didn't leave any film or made me break out and foams a lot! The scent is the only thing that I don't like... Update 27/08/12: I went back to the cleanser I was using before, because I started to see some small pimples and my pores were more filled with gunk while using this. I still think it is a good and gentle cleanser, but I just need my medical cleanser (with triclosan, piroctone olamine, citric acid and a bunch of other acne-fightening stuff) for my very acne-prone skin.

Treatments -Avene - Ystheal+ emulsion
xxxxx2011 5/22/2012 6:13:00 PM
I tried this product for about a year. I only applied to my forehead (I was afraid that it would break me out). I tried to use this 2x a week (max). I tried really hard to incorporate it into my skincare routine...but I just can't use this product. This stuff is EXTREMELY IRRITATING! I used a very small amount, applied 30 min after cleansing, tried to use it as a mask, applied even less than 1x per week...and it does not matter...After almost 1 year of trying...I gave up...this is just super irritating.

Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel
xxxxx2011 5/16/2012 1:09:00 PM
I liked that this is fragrance-free, its creamy texture and good cleansing power (I only use sunscreen and powder). After cleansing my skin was hydrated, but I felt that it left a film (that i didn't like) and it was harder to rinse than the other cleansers i tried. This is NOT for truly acne-prone skin. I tried it several times and every time I saw the same thing happening: tiny bumps emerging all over my face! The only change in my routine was this cleanser, so it had to be this product .

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sebium H2O
xxxxx2011 5/15/2012 5:51:00 PM
If you are looking for a glentle cleanser for oily and acne prone skin, this isn't it. I love Bioderma sensibio cleansing water (without fragance) for my eye area, but I really don't like this one (I only tried it on my face). It smells bad (makes me want to flush it down the toilet...) and irritates my skin.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Noviderm Boreade Creme Lavante
xxxxx2011 5/15/2012 5:38:00 PM
I just used this one a few times...I find that this is too stripping for me (comb/oily skin). It has a strong cleansing power and makes my skin feel dry. It leaves something on my skin that makes it feel very unconfortable. After a few hours, I feel that I have to wash my face again (with my regular cleanser) to remove "that thing" and then my skin comes back to normal.

Sunscreen -Avene - Very High Protection Emulsion SPF50+ (2010 FORMULA)
xxxxx2011 5/15/2012 5:22:00 PM
Pros: -Great protection -Good water resistance Cons -leaves a white cast -difficult to spread and to work with: no matter how I apply it, I always end up with white streaks and small flakes on my face - very difficult to re-apply - after a couple of hours my skin looks very greasy (like I just rubbed oil all over it) - comedogenic Update 27/05/12: I tried again (this time only my forehead) and still gave me small whiteheads (I am very acne-prone). Yes, it's lighter than Bioderma's sunscreens (they feel like a mask on my face)...but this does not feel light at all!

Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Heliocare Silk Gel SPF 30
xxxxx2011 4/24/2012 7:37:00 PM
The product is beige coloured, so when I apply it to my face doesn't leave any white cast. It leaves my skin greasy, very sticky and I need powder to fix the shine. Its stickness is a deal breaker for me...My hair sticks to my face, meh (I really don't like sticky products). Also, it takes a lot of time for me to apply this...if I apply a big amount, it will leave flakes on my face. I find that is better if I keep adding small amounts of product. I can't put liquid foundation on top of this. I am almost sure that this breaks me out too. Ingredients: Aqua, Ethylhexyl Methoxicinnamate, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Octocrylene, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Hexylene Gylcol, C14-22 Alcohols, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Zinc Oxide, PEG/PPG-20/6 Dimethicone, Polypodium Leucotomos Leaf Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Ethoxydiglycol, Camelia Sinensis extract, Phytosphingosine HCI, Micrococcus Lysate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium ETDA, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Alumina, Simethicone, Cetyl Dimethicone, BHT, Citric Acid, Parfum, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Linalool, Limonene.

Sunscreen -RoC - Soleil Protexion+ Velvet Moisture Quenching Fluid SPF 50+
xxxxx2011 4/24/2012 6:49:00 PM
It has a matte finish and leaves my skin almost shine-free. It does not keep my skin shine-free throughout the day, but I don't think any product will. It feels very moisturizing on my comb/oily skin without feeling greasy. The bad: - It leaves a white cast on my skin. It's not bad for a spf 50, the cast is less noticeable than anthelios ac spf 30 ppd 19. - It leaves my skin with white flakes...It does not matter how I apply it, always happens and gets worse with time. The flaking is really bad...is much worse than any other sunscreen I ever tried. It happens even if I apply it on my neck! Re-application is really difficult and I wouldn't leave the house wearing this. -It's super comedogenic on my skin.

Lip Treatments -Labello - Classic
xxxxx2011 4/24/2012 5:55:00 PM
Cheap and effective product. The only thing I didn't care for was its light fragance (but still annoying). This is the only Labello I would repurchase...I don't like their coloured or spf lip balms.

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios Dermo-Pediatrics SPF 50+ Lotion
xxxxx2011 4/23/2012 7:10:00 AM
I have the 300 ml Euro version with ppd 39 (bought it to spanish pharmacy for less than 15 euros). I was expecting this to be thicker...It's not bad for a ppd 39. It's not difficult to spread and does not feel oily on the back of my hands and arms. It's slightly more yellow than the LRP fluids and leaves a silvery white cast that fades after 30min-1h. The bad: - Its water resistance is very disappointing. On the packaging, it says that is very water resistant, but it isn't. When my hands touch water I can see it coming off (the water starts to become whiter). Anthelios ac spf 30 ppd 19 was more water resistant. - It's too oily for my face (combination/oily skin). I only tried once - on a rainy and cold day. At first, it does not feel too bad (but my face is shinier and whiter), then it becomes greasier and greasier fast...after 2 hours I could not stand it anymore. The silvery white cast had not yet disappeared (usually white casts are more noticeable on my face).

Lips -RoC - enydrial moisturising lip balm
xxxxx2011 4/7/2012 1:10:00 PM
This product was prescribed to me by a dermatologist in the 90s (I was taken acne oral medication). This product is "immortal"! I used about 3x a day and never been abble to finish before its expiration date! And while other lip balms are only good 12 months after opening this one stays good for 30 and something months - according to what it says on the packaging. Moisturizes well, only one swipe is sufficient for me, does not have any smell or taste. It was the 1st lip balm I ever used...After 12 years, I decided to try others and so far I don't like any other as much as this.

Lip Liners -Vichy - Lipidiose Repairing Lip Stick
xxxxx2011 4/7/2012 12:48:00 PM
This is just average. Moisturization was sufficient for my lips, but I would not say it is good. It smells like a cheap lip treatment and felt like I bought it at the supermarket and not the pharmacy! The thing I really didn't like was that half of product was surrounded by plastic! I used all the product...but when I reached half of it, I had to use my finger or a q-tip to apply it.

Gels/Soaps -Nivea - Bath Care Pampering Shower Oil
xxxxx2011 3/6/2012 3:45:00 PM
This is and feels like a cheap shower oil. The smell is not pleasant and doesn't leave my skin softer or greasy. It removes waterproof body sunscreen effectively and that's why I will keep using it.
