Mascara -Maybelline - Volum Express The Falsies Flared
xxtine1 4/23/2013 7:53:00 PM
I really like this. But I really like the huge brushes in mascara, ie Revlon Grow Lucious, which no one else seems to care for. Very volumising, and does what it says it will, flares out lashes. I'm not huge on the curved brush, but its not difficult to work with...cough cough, I'm looking at you Colossal Cat Eyes. I say try it if you like big brushes. Minimal fall out and great mascara.

Treatments (Eye) -Olay - Professional Pro-X Eye Restoration Complex
xxtine1 4/23/2013 7:44:00 PM
I again bought this after it got the tick from Paula Begoun. And because it was on sale for $NZ15 - like I said in my other Pro X review, $NZ100 is plainly ridiculous. Plus I'm a student. Anyway, yes, this is fantastic stuff. I have fine lines and a dehydrated eye area which of course makes my fine lines look like wrinkles no matter what concealer I am using. It helps with hydrating and making my makeup go on smoother. As someone else said the Regernerist Eye Serum is essentially the same stuff. So depending on what is on sale, I will choose accordingly.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Lip Butter Caramel Cream Kiss
xxtine1 4/23/2013 7:40:00 PM
This is life changing stuff people..... I thought I was doomed to have crappy lips forever. But no, this stuff is fantastic. My qualms with it are the tin packaging (I hate sticking my fingers in stuff!!) but I do understand that this texture would not work in a tube. And as someone else has said, yes it does leave a white cast on your lips. I just wear it while in the uni library or at night so no one can see me.

Shampoo -Joico - K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair
xxtine1 4/23/2013 7:33:00 PM
I bought mine of strawberrynet on sale (and on a whim). Love this stuff. I get lots of compliments when I wash my hair with it so it has almost become my regular shampoo. I find using too many treatments that have protein in them can make your hair look like straw after awhile, but this somehow repairs your hair without doing that (I guess cause you wash it out :P). It also smells really good. If I can get it on sale (it was like $11) then I will definitely buy this again. For reference - I have medium length type 1 hair that has been permemantly dyed.

Lipstick -Revlon - Moon Drops - Very Berry
xxtine1 4/16/2013 7:00:00 PM
What a great lip colour. Very vampy when applied with a heavy hand. I have warm/neutral undertones and this is a deep red colour that really brightens up my face. I'm not sure about undertones....but I think this is yellow based? In any case, I really enjoy this colour as it is very moisturising and brightening to my very pale complexion. It can be hard to find darker reds that don't make me look goth/even more dead. I would purchase again ....although I believe this is a very old discontinued product. I bought mine a makeup sale that brings discontinued US products to NZ.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Colossal Cat Eyes
xxtine1 3/27/2013 6:52:00 AM
I wish I'd read the reviews first, darnit. Here in NZ this cost me $27. I thought it would be good seeing missglamourazzi always raves about maybelline mascara (silly me for listening to a YouTuber!). Unfortunately the wand is very hard to work with and it doesn't provide volume or length. Thumbs down.

Eye Primer -Unlisted Brand - MUA (Make Up Academy) Professional Eye Primer

I haven't tried UD - but I really like this primer. Also good for under the eye - makes concealer stick without settling into lines. Plus the price is spectacular.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)

I got some of this a few days ago and I'm in love. Move over Lush's Ultrabland, this is much easier to use as an oil cleanser as it washes off far more easily leaving skin lovely and smooth. I have tried it in my hair as a leave in treatment but I don't think I put enough in to notice a significant difference. As a body moisturiser it is just fab on extra dry and eczema prone skin, and so cheap!! Try it.

Treatments -Olay - Pro-X Deep Wrinkle Treatment
xxtine1 3/5/2013 5:49:00 AM
I only got this as it was $NZ15 on clearance (usually $NZ100 - which is plainly ridiculous). I was going to get another Regenerist cream but thought I would give this a go as it was cheaper and it got the tick from Paula Begoun. I have to say it's really lovely, I use this all over my face at night and wake up to beautiful soft skin. If you find this on clearance give it a go. I would repurchase if I could find it for the same cheap price. EDIT: Upped my rating to five lippies. Found it on sale again and bought two more. This stuff is really truly great if you have dry skin or skin which is just starting to age.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Powder Brush
xxtine1 3/5/2013 5:42:00 AM
Mine seems to be an unfortunate one that wasn't made properly - it sheds like crazy so I'm tossing it. I have some other EcoTools brushes that don't shed so I know they can be really good - I think I just got a bum one.

Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory
xxtine1 3/5/2013 5:41:00 AM
This is an okay cross between a concealer and a highlighter, but I don't find that it does either of these jobs well enough for me to repurchase. The concealer is too light for my undereye circles and the highlighting effect on the rest of my face isn't noticible. I'm interested in trying the L'Oreal version of this next.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
xxtine1 3/5/2013 5:38:00 AM
I really like this, it gives me a much softer, dewier, airbrushed look compared to regular colorstay. I will buy again as soon as I've used up the rest of my foundations!

Mascara -Bourjois - Volume Glamour Mascara
xxtine1 3/5/2013 5:36:00 AM
This did nothing for my eyelashes which are already naturally pretty long. Flaked everywhere. There is also something wrong with the rubber stopper at the top - it doesn't stop the formula coming out there's loads of mascara coming out and clumping around the top of the bottle. Don't buy!

Moisturizers -Olay - Total Effects 7-in-1 Fragrance-free SPF 15
xxtine1 2/10/2013 9:48:00 PM
As someone else said, Beautypedia gives this stuff a great review, which is why I bought it. I have to say, it has made such a difference to my skin, it's so much smoother. I have very dry sensitive skin and it keeps it hydrated. Only drawback is the price - around $NZ35. I got it on sale for $23 which wasn't too bad, and it's much much cheaper than my Clinique Super Rescue. HG status and will continue to purchase.

Crème -Rimmel - Match Perfection Cream Gel
xxtine1 6/11/2012 7:43:00 AM
Wow this stuff is great. I picked this up in a rush as it was the cheapest thing in the shop. It really does feel like a gel and blends well. Only problem is oxidisation and it isn't very long lasting. I can't wait to try the concealer. Edit: I believe the fragrance in this was upsetting my skin and giving me eczema. Changed rating to reflect this. Beware if you have sensitive skin.
