Lotions/ Creams -Origins - Ginger souffle
rated 4 of 5

I love the smell so much and my SO does too. It's very strong when I put it on but disappears completely not long after. It's average in moisturizing but I don't need that much moisture from a body lotion, only my hands and other small patches. It performs just like any other lotion and I don't think it's worth getting just for the smell, considering how poor the lasting power is and how expensive that little tub is for a lotion. It does leave my skin feeling smooth. Nice for not so cold months.

Lip Treatments -SoftLips - Lip Protectant
rated 2 of 5
xtinemax 11/19/2008 5:37:00 AM

I love the feeling going on and immediately after I put it on, but this doesn't last at all. It does nothing for chapped and dry lips! Like someone said below, this actually makes my lips feel worse when it wears off, and it wears off so quickly it's not even worth it. Maybe i'll use it when my lips don't need moisture but right now in November, I'll be using something else.

Lip Treatments -Origins - Dr Weil Conditioning Lip Balm with Turmeric
rated 5 of 5
xtinemax 11/19/2008 5:35:00 AM

I was attracted to it because of the packaging. Like a chapstick tube but flattened. I tried it on and I loved it. It is nice thick and waxy and does a good job protecting your lips. Unlike softer lip balms this stuff stays on a very long time. I love the smell, kind of unusual in a lipbalm but I like it. I use it after I put on a lip treatment but it does the job pretty well on it's own too. The price is pretty ridiculous for what is essentially a chapstick, a glorified chapstick. If only it didn't work so incredibly well.

Lip Treatments -Origins - Lip Remedy kiss dry lips goodbye
rated 5 of 5
xtinemax 11/19/2008 5:30:00 AM

This stuff is incredibly moisturizing. It's something I'd only use when my lips really need it. It's like a lotion, not waxy at all and sinks into your lips as soon as your put it on. There'sa stong mentholated smell. Not mint, menthol. Medical, carmex like smell. But the product works so well on dry chapped cracking lips that it's worth ignoring the smell. This stuff doesn't come off easily either since it just sinks in, and even if it does, it's already done the job. The packaging is sleek and cool but I can't imagine there being alot of product in there which sucks considering how expensive this is. I don't like the wand applicator, I'd rather have a squeeze tube but then they wouldn't be able to get away with squeezing so little product in there! The tube is long for some reason so it doesn't like it fit in your pocket some makeup bags.

Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Medicated Lip Remedy
rated 5 of 5
xtinemax 11/19/2008 5:24:00 AM

My lips have been incredibly flaky and dry since it turned to fall, and most lip products go on and sit there, don't do much for my flakies and the hurty chapped parts. I love this stuff because as soon as I put it on, it gets rid of those hard jagges flaky bits on lip skin and makes my lips feel so moisturized. The intense mintyness feels very good on my hurting lips and it has this slippery texture that I thought would mean this wouldn't last too long on my lips but it's average if you don't constantly lick your lips and kiss cute boys. It's in a little green tube with an anteater nose looking end where the product comes out. When you buy it that tube is in another tube, which seems unnecessary. I like the packaging because it's easy to only get a small amount (too much is too much with this) but I also wish it would have an applicator to apply directly on the lips. Atleast it is more hygienic if other people always want to use your things. It's pretty expensive for what it is, but I love what it does to my lips and how it feels.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Keep Kohl! Eyeliner in Black
rated 1 of 5
xtinemax 10/4/2008 2:31:00 AM

This liner is crap. It skips and goes on horribly. The color is kinda grey so I try to put on more but it makes the line I already made come off. So I have to do it more more more to make it look like a line again.. but it never looks like a nice line. And by then my poor eyes are sore. It's horrible for tightlining because of that. For a kohl it's pretty hard. What's the point of the smudger? It doesn't smudge. Not like I wanted to but still, for the people who want to. Well it does stay on for awhile. This liner is so horrible and I can't get it to look as nice as my other liners. Infact the few times I've tried wearing this I ended up going over the line with a gel liner, just to mask how bad this liner is.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Visibly Even Foaming Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
xtinemax 10/4/2008 2:23:00 AM

I'm not sure if this is helping even out my skin.. but I have very stressed skin. But it does make my skin look very fresh and nice right after I wash it. If only it stayed like that.. This cleanser doesn't foam too well but I've been using superfoamy shiseido. It has teeny little exfoliating particles which makes it feel like I'm really cleaning my face. My face always feels super clean after I use this, and it gets rid of all my makeup! Though I have to be careful around the eyes because of thise itty bitty exfoliators that can bypass even the most tightly shut eyelids into the soft squishy sensitive eye. Ouch.

Eye Shadow -Pixi - Eye Beauty Kit No.9 Smoky
rated 2 of 5
xtinemax 10/4/2008 2:12:00 AM

The packaging is cute. Light green plastic case. Really really thin but it adds to the cuteness! But it also means the pans are also very thin. Cute but probably very very flimsy. I wouldn't sit on this. The mirror is also sucky. It's like some weird reflective plastic. But I never use the mirrors on packages.. I'm just saying they could have done better. There are 8 "smoky" colors: Shimmer dark olive: Weak. Not very pigmented Shimmer dark brown: Average. More matte on the skin Black: Nice rich and strongly pigmented Shimmer dark purple:Weak Shimmer darkish green: Nicer than the other ones, but eh Shimmer medium warm purple: Not bad, it has blue shimmer! Shimmer dark greyish taupe: Actually goes on metallic This palette does not impress. The colors are gorgeous in the palette but it takes alot for them to show their true colors on the eye. I'll use the colors wet whenever I reach for this palette.. I have better versions of these colors except for the purple with blue shimmer which I love. The black isn't too bad. All the colors have a smooth soft consistency, I just wish they were more strongly pigmented. They would look good over a black base I guess.

Top/Base Coats -OPI - Thrills In Beverly Hills Glitter Top Coat
rated 4 of 5
xtinemax 9/25/2008 2:20:00 AM

This topcoat is amazing. I love it over dark reds and blackened colors. By itself it is.. crazy. I tried wearing it alone once, just layered it until my whole nail was glitter. I scared myself. But it was a fun look.

Wow I'm in love with this color. It's a warm dark grey creme, teeny bit of brown. Like the color of somewhat old asphalt. I love that it's warm, looks very nice on my fingers.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Stunner
rated 5 of 5
xtinemax 9/25/2008 2:13:00 AM

Gorgeous color. It's black with a gold and olive sheen. A gold-y black if that makes sense. The shimmer is awesome. The formula is nice and thick, it goes on perfect with two coats. I also love the bottle, big fat fake gem on top :p

Polishes -OPI - Tickle my France-y
rated 3 of 5
xtinemax 9/17/2008 5:32:00 AM

It's definitely different. Different from all the other fall colors that have been coming out and looking alot like everything we've ever seen before. It's a lavender-lilac-taupe-dusty-nude. Looking more purple or more taupe depending on the light. I hate it when it looks taupe, because it tends to look like an ugly car paint/carpet taupe than a nude taupe. But when it looks more purple it is stunning and unusual. I think I will wear this more sheer than full color because I hate when it looks taupe that much.

Polishes -OPI - Baguette Me Not
rated 5 of 5
xtinemax 9/17/2008 5:24:00 AM

I have been wearing this color fora couple days and wow I love it! It's a rose with maybe a little bit of coral, but a little darker and dusty, perfect for fall. This is the perfect fall pink. It's bright and looks nice on my skin, but still somewhat subdued so it just looks very polished and of the season. The formula is great and if you have been dissapointed by OPI cremes before this just might make you have faith again.

Polishes -Orly - Walk Down the Aisle
rated 2 of 5
xtinemax 9/17/2008 5:16:00 AM

Eh. It's very pretty in the bottle, and it seemed like it could eventually go opaque. I put on 8 coats of this. It was semi opaque but looked more grey instead of blue on my hands. The color just wasn't showing. The sparkles are nice. Pretty blue sparkles. I tried it over a dark blue but it's NOT SHEER ENOUGH to just be used for the pretty sparkles. If I find a nice light blue I will try it over that...

Fragrances -Aquolina - Chocolovers EDT
rated 1 of 5
xtinemax 9/10/2008 6:34:00 PM

Oh god this smells exactly like tootsie rolls. I smell it and I can almost taste tootsie rolls in my mouth. Be careful when wearing this because you might be labeled a pedophile for trying to attract young children. There is a little bit of spice in the scent but on me the sweet overpowers everything. It's very foody. Normally I love sweet scents but I feel as if chocolovers gave me diabetes.
