This product is great! I started using it after developing acne all of a sudden...and in my mid 20's to boot. I used a foundation that left me with horrendous repercussions and felt desperate when the breakouts, clogging and acne would not stop for months after putting a stop to this foundation. Now, first week into using it, I broke out HORRENDOUSLY. I knew that it was a purging process, however, I was astonished at how quickly pimples would rise, mature, dry out and go away. What I LOVE about this product is how short the lifespan of a pimple is. I broke out horribly on Saturday, I grazed my cheek with my finger on Sunday and felt a bunch of dried up blackheads halfway out the pore. I have not noticed much peeling, but I also clean my face with my Clarisonic daily (with a VERY gentle cleanser, I might add). I do not leave the brush on specific areas as instructed, as I felt it would be too much exfoliation for my skin to handle, but I use the brush to scrub my entire face LIGHTLY for 20 seconds. It's enough to get rid of blackheads and comedones on their way out of the pore without having to manually extract them and it takes care of whatever peeling is going on. I still have acne, as I've only been on this medication for approximately two weeks, but my skin is significantly better and I cannot wait to be zit-free! Also a huge perk - I'm already noticing a diminishing of my smile lines. Pimple and wrinkle free? Hell yes.
I LOVE THIS! Glob it on a zit and feel that sucker die. But what I really love about this product is how I'm actually able to use it on a daily (or at least every other day) basis. Its very creamy and smooth consistency soaks into the skin quickly and I can wear makeup over it without having to worry about it clumping, peeling or interfering with my makeup. I noticed a difference IMMEDIATELY and for the first time in a long time, I actually enjoyed zit-free skin. The trick is to be consistent though, I stopped using it for about a week out of sheer stupidity and BAM! I broke out again. Its not that big a deal, this product works wonderfully at treating zits and keeping them at bay so I'm feeling the sucker that popped out on my left cheek shrink. My skin is naturally oily so I dont mind the drying effects. In fact, I find it to be a perk! So long as I use this with a moisturizer, I dont have to worry about my skin drying out too much. *EDIT* I had to stop using this product when all of a sudden, my skin developed a horrible reaction to it. My face was itchy, puffy and red for an entire day after using it one night. My eyes also got puffy. No thanks.
I actually use this to treat my acne-prone skin - the fact that it has anti aging properties are a HUGE perk, but not the reason for purchasing this wash. I have noticed such a dramatic difference in my skin since I've started using this. My skin is much smoother and I havent had a breakout (aside from the initial purge) since introducing this to my regimen. I first recieved a sample size of this product and while the price tag is a bit much, if a sample size last me well over a month, I'm sure the full size will last a decent amount of time. I first apply this wash and leave it on for a good minute or two until I feel a tingling sensation. I love it, I recommend this to anyone with acne prone skin who doesn't see much results from salycic acid washes.
Shampoo -Dove - Damage Therapy: Daily Moisture with Micro Moisture Serum

I love this shampoo & conditioner! My hair is very processed and I do a lot of heat styling so my hair is very, very, very dry and in need of moisture. I was using Nexxus Humectress Shampoo & Conditioner and I actually prefer this Dove over it's pricier counterpart. I actually feel as though it's better than many of the expensive salon shampoos I've bought but I'll give this another month or two before I make my decision. My boyfriend's mom was going through the transition between red to blonde and I was really surprised at how soft and shiny her hair was so she suggested this shampoo. I bought it, tried it and loved it. My thirsty hair is really soft, shiny, manageable and hydrated. Its also a steal for the price - I can get great results with a cheap shampoo? Fantastic, sign me up. But whatever you do, don't get Dove's Nutri-Oil line. ITS HORRIBLE.
The pump is a major problem. There is wasted product due to the packaging which is something they have to work on. What I love about this primer is the fact that it conceals as well. I adore that. I normally have to prime first, conceal and THEN work on my eyeshadow - with this stuff, its all in one step. When I first used this product, I wasnt crazy about the creasing, but I've learned that this is a primer you have to work into your lid. I really think they need to change this packaging to a wand-type of applicator. Once its worked in, it really won't stray. I got to try it since a friend was working for Sephora and he recieved it gratis - I dont know if I'm okay with shelling out $26 for a good product with a very fault pump, however.
Skincare - Body -Sally Hansen - Airbrush Legs in Light Glow

I'm a clumsy mess with bruises and scars all over my legs. I had a job interview and the only thing I had available to wear was this really cute pencil skirt, but this huge bruise on my legs made it impossible to wear! I did use a tiny bit of concealer to hide the bruise, but this product left my legs looking absolutely FLAWLESS. Will definitely buy again. Now, when you first apply this on your legs, it looks a lot more orange than it really is. I was a little scared when I first applied this, but was pleasantly surprised when it dried to a lovely, light olive color. My only complaint? Once the day is done and you need to wash this off, it can be a bit of a pain. I had to scrub for three days straight to get this stuff off.
Styling Products -Kerastase - Lumiere Nutri-Sculpt

I *love* this product. I place a little between my hands, rub them together and then apply to wet hair - it makes a big difference. I have a short bob so I HAVE to iron it every day and this causes a significant amount of damage. This product leaves my hair very soft, very shiny and very smooth. I keep reading that its discontinued which is a real shame :(
Treatments -Zapzyt - 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel

bought this about 6 hours ago and the disgusting, ginormous and ridiculous pimple on my cheek has shriveled up to almost nothing. will definitely keep using this to kill the nasty things! **edit** i've been using this product for about a month already and WOW. it worked very well on the first pimple but not too well on a few others. however, i kept applying the gel on a daily basis and this stuff is wonderful for prevention. since i've started using this, i've yet to have a pimple and the blackheads on my nose have dissapeared. granted, i do have a regimen and zapzyt isnt the only product i use against acne, but i have noted a definite difference in my skin since introducing it to my skincare regimen. it can be a little drying but its nothing that a good moisturizer wont fix.
Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation
xrainbowbarf 7/23/2011 6:22:00 AM
I LOVE this foundation. LOVE IT. It is most definitely my HG at this point as it leaves my skin looking flawless for a *very* long time. Going out clubbing & sweating up a storm? No problem. With this foundation, I know I'm still going to look great by the end of the night. The formula is a bit thick, but I was using Revlon Colorstay before this and I would say its comparable in texture. This stuff, however, outperforms and outlasts ColorStay. Which it better, at $38 for an oz. of product, it better be worth every last penny - and in my experience, it is. *edit* the 1 oz pump may look small, but a little goes such a long way. I've had mine for well over 3 months now! Issue is, that as time goes by, the foundation itself gets a little thick. BUT, its not a problem a damp sponge can't fix. I started applying with a damp sponge and it's looking better than ever.
Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
xrainbowbarf 7/23/2011 6:08:00 AM
I'm a HUGE fan of All-Nighter. Miami weather is not the friendliest when it comes to keeping fresh-faced, but this spray really does help keep my makeup looking absolutely perfect no matter the circumstances.
i dont use this as a powder foundation (because personally, i hate how powder foundations make people look), but as a setting powder and it works great. it mattifies wonderfully without leaving behind a dry sensation and it stays on all night. i use it in warm vanilla which matches me perfectly, although their limited selection is a bit worrisome.
i am in love with this primer! i have tried so many HE primers and while they're not bad, they're not as good as this. i actually picked this up on a whim at an organic foods supermarket and i'm really happy i gave it chance. it is priced very well, it applies very smoothly and gives my skin excellent oil control, but my favorite thing about it is how amazing it has made my skin in just a week. i dont have acne or anything like that anymore, but this has left my skin feeling very supple and hydrated even when im not wearing it. i *know* its this product because it is the only new thing i have introduced to my regimen. im pretty sure its the olive oil that is doing all the hydrating. i wont lie, i was a little afraid of the olive oil in this product, but i am very surprised and impressed. i am sticking with this as it has become my HG. pros: d/s price for what feels like an HE product glass vial with pump is always a plus applies smoothly, makeup applies wonderfully controls oil leaves skin feeling amazing after use cons? so far, none. the branding is a little ugly but really, the branding of this product isnt what's going on my face.
I love this palette! Yes, there is glitter. But I happen to LOVE glitter so its not an issue. I use Maui Wowie - the glitteriest of them all - as a highlight. Im sure if you dig into the shadow and smear it on your face you'll come out looking like a disco ball, but imo, its not meant to be used that way. The glitter shadows are to be used as accents and they do just that and very nicely. My only qualm is with their black - I'm not crazy about the oil slick shadow. I've never been crazy about silver glitter in black shadow, ever.
I bought this in a tub, not the tube, from Sally's today. I used it as I was dying my hair and WOW. I am so impressed with this product that I am kicking myself for not trying it sooner. Whenever Aunt Flow pays a visit, she takes it out on my cheeks. Seriously, my cheeks are a complete nightmare when its that time of the month - I get clumps of zits that will then take a few weeks to come to a head, pop and heal, thus leaving me with a total of ONE freaking week a month with decent skin. Well, lets just say that my poor cheeks have been taking abuse for the past week and they look like absolute crap. I applied the mask while dying my hair, and when I looked at myself in the mirror, I could not believe what I saw. Most of the zits dried up and are completely, 100% gone and a few came to a head and are currently being treated by more of the mask as a spot treatment. But the best part? The best part is how smooth my skin feels! I can't wait to see the long-term effects of using this mask two/three times a week. Yes, it was tingly and at first, it did feel a little like a burning sensation but that went away really quickly and turned into a lovely cooling sensation as it dried. It smells and applies like toothpaste but honestly? Who cares. Colgate could do this, you better believe I'd be slathering my face with it too. Really, its such a small thing to focus on when the results are so good. Overall, an excellent product. The packaging is hideous but its very effective and the product is wonderful.
i love this blush. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. a thing about blushes - what they look like when you first apply is going to be very different from what it looks like after you wear it. this is very true with orgasm. when i first applied it, i thought this was a crazy bright and glittery mess but after i applied translucent powder and stepped outside, it was absolutely gorgeous. it looks like a lovely natural glow as opposed to a fake and obvious blush (which can be good sometimes too, but i wasn't aiming for that so orgasm fit the bill). the glitter isn't too much - in fact, its barely noticeable and gives you wonderful glow.
