Treatments -Frederic Fekkai - Technician Color Care Mask
rated 4 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/3/2013 9:45:00 PM

Yes. This is a great little standard mask. It definitely added moisture and life back in to my hair that the Fekkai Shea Shampoo and Conditioner stripped out. I like that it has more of a balmy texture, which makes it very easy to distribute through wet hair without dripping out. Another nice bonus is that it's not too hard to find at local stores. This is a good staple mask, although I don't feel that it does anything particularly outstanding for my hair. But that might be because it was just repairing the damage done by the previously mentioned shampoo and conditioner!

Liquid -Chanel - Perfection Lumiere
rated 2 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/3/2013 9:34:00 PM

It is extremely disappointing that Chanel would put out a foundation like this. I have honestly had better experience with almost every other foundation that I've used. This feels like a really thick paste on my skin, and WORST OF ALL - IT OXIDIZES! I wore it for about two weeks straight, and when I would look at myself in the mirror, I would wonder why I was looking so pink/orange. I thought it might have been my mineralize skinfinish natural setting powder (more on that in another review....), but that couldn't be the case. So I tried using different setting powders - same results. This awful foundation has really turned me off of Chanel base products, because a $55 foundation should be formulated much better than this. I will be sticking with my Dior, Armani, and Guerlain foundations from now on!

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup (new - 2011 version)
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/3/2013 9:29:00 PM

WHOA. This is some SERIOUSLY great foundation. It has high coverage without feeling like you're wearing a mask on your face, and it stays put on me all day long. Also, the color is just spot on for my skin, and it does not oxidize on me!!!!!!!!! This is a great day foundation to make you look polished, but not overdone for the office. Love love love Dior foundations and will repurchase forever!

Cleansers -Kate Somerville - True Lash Eye Makeup Remover
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/3/2013 9:26:00 PM

I really love this product. I can't say that it has enhanced my lashes (and I'm on tube #2), but it does remove ALL of my eye makeup (I use primer, shadow, eyeliner, and usually boatloads of L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black or Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash) without me having any lashes fall out on my cotton pads. The only negatives about this product are that it is very expensive, and I seem to go through the tubes reaaaaaaalllllyyyyy quickly. But overall a great product, I just wish it were $10-$20 cheaper!

Cleansers -MAC - Cleanse Off Oil - Tranquil
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/3/2013 9:22:00 PM

I really enjoy using this product (which is SO strange to me to type, because I typically don't trust makeup lines to do skincare very well...). I bought it to give the oil cleansing method a try, forgot about it for awhile, and then brought it out to try to start using up the massive catalogue of products that I own. I have been very pleasantly surprised with how much I like this. I use a couple of pumps in my hand, put a few drops of water in it to make it in to a creamy, milky substance, and rub that on my face - and it dissolves ALL of my makeup. It even gets deep in to the root of my lashes, where my eye makeup remover misses. It has not broken me out, it smells really nice (but not an overwhelming scent whatsoever), and it is free of mineral oil. This is a really great oil cleanser from MAC, and if I weren't wanting to try the Shu Uemura Ultim8 Cleansing Oil after I finish this, I would definitely repurchase.

Eye Makeup Remover -Sonia Kashuk - Remove
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 8/18/2012 6:46:00 PM

I really, really, REALLY like this product. It does a fantastic job at removing every last bit of my eye makeup (yes, even when I'm wearing several coats of L'Oreal Voluminous carbon black). This does not leave a greasy feeling whatsoever, and I don't have to pull and tug at my eye area to get everything off - just a little swipe once or twice, and it takes off everything! I am very impressed with this product - the only area that could use a little improvement is the opening, as its a little clumsy (I hate products where there isn't some kind of pour control). But I would definitely re-purchase! This is great!

Cleansers -Mary Kay - Timewise 3-in-1 Cleanser and Moisturizer
rated 1 of 5
xoxsexylv57 7/9/2012 7:11:00 AM

I am truly baffled by the overwhelmingly positive reviews that I've seen about this product. Maybe I'm using a different product than everyone else, or maybe there are just a bunch of Mary Kay reps leaving reviews. Who knows. But this face wash is just AWFUL. It has a very weird, highly chemical smell (vaguely rubbery), it doesn't feel pleasant on my face while I'm washing it, my face feels like there is a film on it after washing it (and this is even using a Clarisonic pro, on one of the higher speeds AND with the acne brush head), and to top it off, it is EXPENSIVE for the size (4.5oz for $22). For that amount of coin, you'd be much better off getting a cleanser from Avene, La Roche-Posay, or Skinceuticals. Also, I'm not 100% sure why anyone would want to purchase their products this way: from high-pressure sales people who are pushing overpriced garbage and trying to get you to "join the team." I have a hard time understanding why such an archaic way of selling products still exists - I don't know about you, but I sure enjoy buying products online so I DON'T have to be harassed by overbearing salespeople. To wrap this up, no, I definitely would not repurchase and should not have purchased in the first place.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Lavender Hand Cream
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 7/3/2012 4:28:00 PM

I am sooooooooooooo in LOVE with this product. This is the best lavender-scented product that I have ever smelled. Because this smells so fantastic, I apply it about 3 to 4 times a day, which ultimately helps my hands immensely, as my hands (along with my feet) tend to be very dry. This cream feels lighter than most true "cream" products, but it does a very nice job of moisturizing. Also, the little tube that it comes in (I get the $10 1 oz size) is perfect to throw in your purse or keep in your desk at work; plus, it's a cap that physically screws on the tube so you don't have to worry about it accidentally flipping open and getting lotion on everything. I wish they made this in a huge size so I could use it as a body lotion because I am really so obsessed with the smell of this.

Cleansers -Yes To Carrots - Yes To Cucumbers Face Cleanser Towelettes
rated 2 of 5
xoxsexylv57 4/3/2012 1:18:00 AM

I repurchased this product twice before I had to move on. Let me list the pros and cons: Pros: *large sized cloth (some brands have tiny little wipes that cover only about half your face *light, lovely, refreshing scent *plastic re-closable snap to keep your wipes moist Cons: *burns and stings my face (and I don't have sensitive skin) *very ineffective at removing face makeup, worse at removing eye makeup *a bit on the pricey side for makeup removal cloths I just don't see the point in purchasing these - I used these to wipe my makeup off in the car immediately after work one day, and my face didn't feel clean. So I took a look in my car mirror (used durning the day you can spot every imperfection on your face) and I saw that my foundation hadn't been removed, it had somehow been pushed into my pores. I was horrified. I grabbed another wipe and started to try to rub away the makeup, but I got the same result. I ended up using the remainder of that pack as swatch removal cloths. I definitely wouldn't buy these again as they don't serve their function.

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
rated 2 of 5
xoxsexylv57 3/12/2012 4:38:00 PM

Ugh...finally got around to using up this product today, and I am very unimpressed. For an oil-free eye makeup remover, this sure left a greasy, filmy feeling around my eyes. Also, it didn't take off all of my mascara even after two soaked cotton pads were used! And it wasn't waterproof mascara or some other hard-to remove formula, either. Also, the opening is huge on this which makes it really prone to spilling, and it's very hard to control the amount that comes out (it's either too much or not nearly enough).I was really stunned when I saw the 4.0 rating on this. This is junk, and there are much better eye makeup removers out there, even among other drugstore brands. Definitely would not repurchase, and I'm glad this is finally done.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush Mellow Mauve
rated 1 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/15/2012 7:29:00 PM

Garbage, garbage, garbage. Shouldn't really be expecting miracles for a $3 product, but after using this - I can see why it is only $3. It's extremely powdery - it's a total mess when you dip your brush into this to pick up color. And the pigmentation is HORRIBLE. I'm about an NC25 right now (rather light for me), and this does not show up on my skin. At all. IF I want this to barely show up, it's not happening with a brush. I'd have to rub my fingers in this blush and pack it on my cheeks. Um, no thanks. This went straight in the garbage this evening when I was going through my stash. Don't even know why I kept it. Two thumbs down, would not repurchase.

Lipstick -NARS - Lipstick in Dolce Vita
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/14/2012 10:54:00 PM

This may be my all time favorite lipstick. The formula is a cross between a lipstick and a gloss, so you get a glossy yet decently pigmented color. Sheer dusty rose (shade description from the Nars website) is actually a pretty perfect color description. This is a shade that you can slap on without any fuss and it goes with ANY look that you do. It is the perfect complement to dramatic eye looks, because it can work as a nude lip that doesn't make you look washed out (if you're like me, and have pigmented lips, you know what I'm talking about!) It is also superb for daytime or office looks, because it is polished and sophisticated without looking overdone. This is the perfect no-fuss, no-muss lipstick that always looks good and always works. Definite must-have and this will be an absolutely permanent staple in my makeup bag for life.

Scrubs -Dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/14/2012 10:48:00 PM

I really enjoy using this product. Yes, I have the Clarisonic Pro brush and love and adore that, but sometimes I just really like the feeling of an actual scrub on my face. As a rule, I don't generally use scrubs, they can be very abrasive and rough on the skin, but I don't find that to be the case with this product. The powder, when mixed with water, creates a very fine, silky scrub that really makes your skin glow after using it. I also love the fact that this contains salicylic acid and tea tree oil in it, as I find these two ingredients particularly effective in combating acne and improving cell turnover. Yes, this is rather expensive at $50, but you don't need very much when using it. I really enjoy this product, and I will definitely be re-purchasing when I run out. Also, as a side note, this container is very well designed. The cap is a screw top that lies flat against the opening (two holes where the powder comes out), so you never get any messy powder spillage. I have travelled with this several times and have never had a dreaded powder explosion.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Sex Bomb
rated 1 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/12/2012 5:34:00 PM

Well, this was a total bust. How do I loathe this? Let me count the ways: it is barely scented, it is expensive as hell for something that you can use 1 time (I can buy 2 huge bags of bath salts for nearly $7), that flower thing that looks so pretty in the center of the ball turns gross and goopy - think mucus - once it hits the water, and the pink color that everyone seems to love is great - if you're a teenager. This did nothing for me....maybe left my skin a teeny bit smoother, but that's nothing that can't be accomplished with a regular bath oil that I will get more than one use out of. Further, if I'm paying nearly $7 for something, I expect it to knock me on my face on the floor with scent. I certainly won't waste any more money on buying this ever again. Oh and thanks weirdo at the lush store for being overly creepy and trying to push as many products on me as you could, and then when I'm paying at the counter yell out "OH, WE'VE GOT A SEX BOMB HERE!!!" Are you completely mental? Never again. Disliked the store, disliked the staff, disliked the product. Absolute failure.

Liquid -Guerlain - 'Lingerie de Peau' Invisible Skin-Fusion Foundation
rated 5 of 5
xoxsexylv57 2/11/2012 1:31:00 PM

I am a bit of a foundation whore....ok, it's actually a full blown obsession. And I really believe that I have found my HG foundation. Why is this so amazing? A few reasons: 1.) Beautiful coverage (can go w/o a concealer) of my whole face in one pump - it has a satiny, skin-like finish that looks polished but not unnatural, and is light and gorgeous on the face 2.) Does not break me out 3.) Wears for 8+ hours without slipping off my face or fading away - and I have combo to oily skin, so this is a huge + 4.) Elegant, hygienic packaging 5.) Smells divine Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Foundation isn't something that I like to skimp on, and with this foundation, I would splurge over and over and over again. I have never found something that has met all of my "requirements" in a foundation - and this one exceeded my expectations. There are only two tiny downsides to this foundation: they don't have an exceptionally broad color range, so it may be difficult to find a match, and the stunning quality of this foundation has made me want to invest heavily in the Guerlain line....great.
