Moisturizers -MAC - Studio Moisture Cream
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 11/11/2010 12:16:00 AM

I've used Studio Moisture Cream for over a year and I've never had an issue with it. I only use it at night because it's too heavy for my oily skin during the day. I tend to use this cream in the fall and winter and when I have dry patches. Studio Moisture Cream does a great job of getting rid of flaky skin. I'm on my second jar.

Loose Powders -NARS - Loose Powder
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 10/31/2010 3:13:00 AM

Love it! It goes on smooth and my bush glides on top of it. The packaging could be better. It's easy for some of the powder to end up around the edges of the container so when you lift the lid it gets all over the place. You get a lot of powder for the price. I have this in Eden (waiting for Beach to arrive) and it's pretty light. The powder goes on quite sheer so it doesn't change the color of your foundation but I like my powders to match closer to my skin color. For reference I wear Stromboli Sheer Glow, MAC NC35 Studio Fix Fluid. UPDATE 11/9/10: I received Beach today so I put Eden and Beach side to side. Eden has a pink tone to it and Beach has a yellow tone to it. I expected Beach to be a darker than Eden but it's not. I like Beach better. Oh, when I received Beach there was powder all over the outside and inside the container. Eden arrived clean so I guess it's a hit or miss?

Polishes -Orly - Goth
rated 4 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 10/31/2010 3:07:00 AM

I purchased the mini size was disappointed when I painted this color on my nails. I was expecting more of the silver glitter/particles to be applied on my nails. I wasn't expecting the polish to be a glitter polish but in the jar the color looked like more glitter/particles would adhere. Oh well. Two coats + a top coat and you're good to go. Overall this polish is good.

Mascara -Shu Uemura - Precise Volume Mascara Waterproof
rated 4 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 2/26/2009 8:33:00 AM

This mascara is certainly waterproof. I was removing it with makeup remover and I thought I had gotten it all off but after washing my face I discovered that I didn't get it all off. It doesn't thicken your lashes much which is probably why I thought I cleaned all of it off. It does stay better (meaning not making racoon eyes) then a lot of the other mascaras I have tried and I liked the wand. The tip is smaller and it gets larger. I found that this seperated my lashes as most wands tend to clump and coat my lashes together.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
rated 3 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 2/26/2009 8:25:00 AM

I wanted to like this because I like the original one but I was disappointed. The color was a lot darker than I expected and it creased a lot sooner than the original one. For reference I am an Asian, NC35.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 226 Small Tapered Blending Brush - BBR Collection
rated 3 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 2/25/2009 11:23:00 PM

I found this brush to be on the rough side. I like the 217 much better, it's much softer than the 226. The 226 is smaller but I think the pointed shaped is what makes it feel harsh against the eyelid. I'm disappointed, the brush looked promising.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Extreme Glimmers
rated 4 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 11/25/2008 8:14:00 PM

The colors are gorgeous but talk about crazy fall out. When you open the jar they look like flakes and they kind of reminded me of MAC's Solar Bits. The Extreme Bronze is almost identical to MAC's Bronzescape just with more shine. I haven't tried putting it on my eyes yet but just on the back of my hand with Urban Decay Primer postion it seems hard to blend.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio in Danger Zone
rated 4 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 10/19/2008 2:33:00 PM

I agree with everything the reviewer below said. I love the red in Danger Zone. I wish MAC would make one without the glitter as well. I only bought this eyeshadow for the red as I have to any black shadows.

Lipstick -MAC - So Scarlet
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 9/11/2008 11:47:00 PM

Gorgeous color. I love red lipsticks. MAC describes this lipstick as a grape burgundy. I would say that is a good match. Maybe even a reddish burgundy. I don't like wearing this color alone because I think it's too dark (I prefer lighter colors) so I use the Cult of Cherry lipglass over So Scarlet. Cult of Cherry lightens up So Scarlet and gives it more of a red color. For reference I am an Asian, NC 35 (Studio Fix powder).

Lip Gloss -MAC - Cult of Cherry
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 9/11/2008 11:43:00 PM

I love, love, love this color! It's gorgeous worn on its own and it's gorgeous over So Scarlet. I have two tubes and I will try to by two more before it sells out in stores (sold old online). It's a tinted lipglass but it sure doesn't seem like it. It provides enough red when worn by itself.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Overrich - Heritage Rouge Pigment
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 9/3/2008 10:18:00 PM

I really like this color. I don't know why I just do. I wore it today over the Artifact paint pot and used Dark Soul in my crease and Blonde's Gold as the highlight. I hate how you get so little for $19.50. MAC says the pigments are 4.3 grams because they are exclusive limited editions. Mega-Rich and Mauvement are repromotes which is why they are 7.5 grams. It's still a rip off but unforetunately I would purchase again because I love the color.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Blonde's Gold Pigment
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 9/2/2008 10:44:00 PM

This color looks pretty dark in the jar but still works great as a neutral color. It can be used a highlighter but it won't be as light as Vanilla for instance. I'm disappointed in the price considering that the pigment was only 4.3 grams and I swear the website didn't say it was when I purchased it. I would purchase again though if I ever run out. For reference I am an NC 35 (Studio Fix Powder).

Polishes -MAC - Metalist
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 9/2/2008 10:41:00 PM

This is such a pretty color. It's a golden tan (if that makes any sense). It's a lovely neutral color. It blends with my skin color which is one thing I don't like but I love it anyways. The formula dries fairly quickly, not too fast that you can't apply the coat evenly. Two coats will really bring out the color. For reference I am a NC 35 (Studio Fix Powder) but my hands are a little darker.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Silver Fog
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 7/26/2008 2:45:00 PM

This color is great! So far I have used it with Bell Bottom Blue and Teal. I color the whole eyelid and use Silver fog in the inner 1/3 of the eyelid and blend. It's lovely!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Solar Bits Scatterays
rated 5 of 5
xogyrlyinredxo 7/14/2008 8:31:00 PM

I think this color is very pretty. I use it over the Genle Lentil shadestick and it creates a somewhat neutral look. The packaging could have been better and it is kind of pricey. I would buy again but I have so many pigments that I will never finish this container or any other. For reference I am Asian, NC 35.
