Smells and works amazing. Not sticky or oily or anything. I have to be careful to use it sparingly as I only have the smaller sample size from the black friday sale. But wow, I'm definitely going back to repurchase once I run out. Did i mention how divine the guava smell is?
very no-nonsense cleanser. it is, as the title says, gentle on the skin but does an ok job of clearing away excess oils + dirt. it is a gel consistency but is a little creamier than something like The Body's Shop Seasweed facial cleanser. It doesnt smell and i like the convenient pump. however ever so slightly more drying than spectrojel imo good gentle daily cleanser at a reasonable price.
i bought this since i ran out of my favorite blistex DCT & due to raves about burts bees line from so many people honestly dont think it makes any difference to other lip balms ive tried (soft lips, nivea, etc.) and its definitely not as good as the blistex one as i still get flakiness will not repurchase especially when its kind of pricey for a mere lip balm + lack of good results
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil

had no idea that evoo could be used as a moisturizer, thank goodness i checked MUA before spending more $$ ive been trying this out for a little while (2 weeks) and it has made a world of difference on my skin. i juss dip the tip of index finger into it and spread it first on my dry patchy skin and then run my fingers all over my face to cover everything else. everyone needs to try these 'organic' products that are easily found in your own home first. evoo has cured all dryness and i think even my pores have shrunken just a little bit. skin feels supple and smooth. i love and will continue to use this esp in light of the harsh canadian winter
Powder -Everyday Minerals - Pressed Foundation in Fairly Light Neutral
xogingerox 12/16/2010 12:51:00 AM
good sheer coverage for those who just want something of a touch up. this will not help hid pimples or acne scars or freckles etc. it is a basic no-nonsense powdered foundation. easy to use and doesnt cause breakouts. i use this very often as it 'perfects' my face but also showing an inkling of my imperfections, which i like. this product does not make me look like what a fellow MUA-er has quoted 'a MAC face' aka obviously TOO much makeup / what on earth could she possibly be hiding underneath that mask ( im kidding of course about the stereotype of MAC users as i have a few products from that line) basically, good simple light foundation with matte/natural finish
Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720
xogingerox 12/16/2010 12:44:00 AM
ok..i too got this due to the large amount of good reviews on both videos and makeupalley, but ahhh..kind of disappointed im already really light,NC20 (i dont own MAC foundation, just using as reference) and this STILL doesnt show. what gives? i mean, at first, when i apply it, i see it. its nice and matte and looks like a good contour choice. after 1 hour, GONE. what?! so no, i dont think this is a good product, but i only speak for myself (and whoever might happen to have difficulty finding a bronzer/contour color that shows despite the fairness/darkness of skin tone) its still a cheap product and doesnt break me out it just doesnt work for me.
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
xogingerox 12/16/2010 12:37:00 AM
good setting powder and a light dust of this over any liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer makes a whole lot of difference silky soft feel on the skin one downside is that it does come off easily, which is also an upside since that means this product not damage your skin/clog pores like a crazy monster. (sidenote: i prefer products that are not 'longlasting' as they generally contain less preservatives) will repurchase when i hit pan. which i will :D
im sad this product was good to me before the summer due to my incredibly ghostly complexion. i dont have serious acne related problems, but do have lone pimples here and there and fairly large pores and also i dont seem to exhibit uneven discoloration. this bb cream helped to make my face look dewy and simply cleaned up...and then i got darker (now i am no longer ghost-like but human-like) :( i cant wear this product anymore for my whole face, but because i cherish my dear missha, i use it as a kind of luminizer on my nose, between eyebrows area, cupids bow and a tad on the tops of cheeks. if you are light skinned, i do advise you to get this. easy to apply, doesnt oxidize into weird colors, very moisturizing why cant MISSHA create more colors :'(
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Pure White
xogingerox 12/16/2010 12:20:00 AM
first white eyeliner and i use it for waterline and inner corners it cakes on me..weird right? actually, it either cakes & looks like i have white eye gunk (srry for the disgusting image) or it disappears moments after application not to mention that the cap is easily broken because i do not want to buy another white eyeliner, i improvise by dipping it into white eyeshadow or sephora's aspen and tracing my eye sometimes, we just have to make do with what we have but i dont advise buying this product
this isnt going to be the best review, as this is the first and only liquid eyeliner i have ever used. here goes.. average eyeliner pros: doesnt smudge very black reasonably priced cons: not the thinnest tip if you douse your face in water it will come off (actually this is both pro and con as it is also easy to wipe off when removing makeup)
Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Daily Moisturiser - SPF30
xogingerox 12/16/2010 12:13:00 AM
BAD PRODUCT firstly, this is the first moisturizer ive tried that has broken me out! i have combo/oily skin (tad drier on tops of cheeks) and no worrisome acne as i have thankfully passed hormonal rollercoaster that was puberty. olay, body shop, avon, evoo, origins (moisturizer only) has never done harm to my face and so i thought i was completely safe from ever donning the 'sensitive' skin title. this product proved this theory incorrect. pimples EVERYWHERE. was a serious pepperoni pizza face from using this product for 1 week. i didnt change my other parts of skin care regimine except this, and BLAM, skin hell. also, other minor parts, too thick and thus difficult to spread, the friggin product wouldnt come out of the bottle when i pressed the top of it 1000 times and it kinda..smells like mushroom (expected due to shitake ingredient) and expensive for drugstore maybe its because im still kind of young and dont need 'harsh' ingredients in my skincare routine. i dont kno imo, if you do not suffer from any severe skin maladies + are young + have had decent success with 'basic' moisturizers (such as olay as mentioned) then steer far far away from this product.
this month has been CURSED i say CURSED, as my skin care experimentation is truly sucking. this toner dries out my skin (no duh, the second ingredient is alcohol and theres a ton of other badies) like no other. it doesnt help with minimizing pores or helping eliminate acne. it just dries my combo skin out!! and most noticeably at the parts of my skin that are normal. if it had helped my t-zone i wouldnt have given it such a low rating, but nooooo. t-zone is almost the same oiliness and the rest of my skin has gone to shit. ARGH one good thing did come out of this purchase: read ingredient lists.
HATE this product on me ive been using CG's lash blast in waterproof for a year now and very pleased with those results, but wanted to venture off and experiment with other mascaras that had smaller wands. the name and packaging of the product enticed me, not to mention the sale at wal-mart ($3) it was utter fail. no lengthening and no curl-holding. it does add volume, but who cares when you can even see the lashes! (they stick horizontally) im giving this to my friend whose been wanting to try it.
im going to basically reiterate my comments from Red Cheek on Pinky because i practically love both of them equally. DONT BE AFRAID OF THE COLOR, alight hand and soft controlled brush strokes will yield magnificent results color payoff is good. most blushers and bronzers are irritatingly invisible on my skin, which is odd since im really fair (with asian yellow undertone). shows up on me as a soft youthful pink, and not bubblegum in yo face kind of pink. very flattering and to my surprise, natural looking. however i have to say that the powder blushes dont last as long on my face quite matte, which is good if you use dewy liquid foundations, but i always wear powder and too much matte looks kind of...drab at times. still very wearable and looks appropriate in office and 'serious' settings
nice cheap brow filler. i have dark and very VERY sparse eyebrows. srsly, the tail end of my brows are practically non-existent i was scared to use the powder cuz it looked too light but its really not. i use light swift strokes of the powder first to fill and shape the look as i do not like hard geometric brows (not that i dont love well defined eyebrows, they just dont look good on me.) after im satisfied, i use the darker gel portion sparingly to tame and neaten the entire look. this is a good product for those who have no idea how to deal with eyebrows, but i have to say, after some research, ive realized that nice brows can be easily achieved by simply using a good matching eyeshadow + some gel-like brow tamer. i will not repurchase this item after this aforementioned revelation
