Moisturizers -Mario Badescu - Aloe Moisturizer SPF 15

I originally bought this product because I am combination skin that was getting dried out in the Boston winter. So when I went into Nordstrom to pick this up, I figured it would be a win, like all of Mario Badescu's products are. Unfortunately, this product is not doing it for me. It does moisturize my face, BUT that being said, my face gets wicked oily at the end of the day when I use this. I have to mattifying lotion on top of this and that will keep the oily at bay for a little longer, but it still makes my skin greasy. I really wanted to like this product, but it's not a winner in my book.
This does not come off your eyes. It looks pretty when it's on, but it legitimately does not come off. It lives up to the 24 hour claim, because even after I haven't worn it for a few days and tried using another mascara, IT IS STILL ON. I definitely wouldn't waste the money on this and am definitely not buying this again.
This may be one of the few mascaras I love. I am super picky about mascaras and need them to be perfect. My criteria is water proof, no flaking, easy to put on, makes my lashes look awesome. That being said, this does ALL of that and then some. The trick to making this work is to use this in conjunction with their High Volume Mascara. If you go in there with the small brush first and then right after that with the Lash Curling Brush, you'll get drop dead gorgeous lashes. The mascara stays on forever. The tubes are SO easy to get off, which I love. I hate having mascara/eyeliner leftover on my eyes. This mascara truly is amazing and I feel like everyone should try it!
BEST LOTION FOR ECZEMA! I have the worst eczema spots on my legs, wrists, hands .... basically all over my body. I went to the dermatologist and this is what she had recommended to me. That was 7 years ago and I have used this ever since. I put it on morning and night and it works wonders! I live in Boston and Philadelphia and the winters in both locations are extremely harsh with the dry air and awful windchill. This stuff really makes my skin feel so much better and really keeps it moisturized. I will always use this product because no matter what, my skin looks and feels so much better after I put it on. You will honestly see such a great improvement in your skin in just one day! Definitely get this - plus it's only $11 for the massive tub they give you! I only have to buy this maybe every 6-8 weeks, so it's worth it!
This was an early Christmas gift to myself and let me tell you, I am glad I bought it. This cleanser has virtually gotten rid of all my acne. How? I'm not quite sure, but as it has gotten rid of my acne, it has also made my skin so much smoother and softer. I usually have to use harsh products to control my oily combination skin, but this does just fine, while still leaving my skin moisturized. I have noticed that my makeup has a better application now that I am using this product. It's $20.00, which isn't cheap, but I have been using it for about three weeks, and my bottle is basically still full. Also, it gives you a lot of product - like 16oz worth of product for that price. Not too bad! I definitely would recommend this to anyone with oily combination or combination skin! It's a great buy and I know I will definitely continue to use this product for years to come.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

GET THIS!!! I have ridiculously oily eyelids (awkward, i know) and this is the only stuff that will keep my makeup in place. It keeps my eyeliner in place all day, as well as my eyeshadow. I don't know if it just me, but I feel like it even makes the colors more vibrant, which i loveeee! It's kind of pricy, but then again, my one little sample from the Naked Palette I bought LAST YEAR just ran out a month ago. So I think it's 100% worth the price, if it's going to last that long. Heads up - I loathe the Matte version. Idk why, but it makes my eyelids all weird and it hurts to put the eyeshadow on my eyes. It's probably too drying for me, but I just did not like that. Go with original for sure - you can't go wrong with that.
This product is amazing! I have combination skin and this is the only scrub I have found that actually gives me great results! I use this maybe two or three times a week and use warm water. You only need a little bit and I am very gentle with this, since it has the coarse sea salt in there. It washes off easily, leaving you with clean and soft skin. Also, it does an awesome job of getting rid of the black heads around my nose and chin. No cleanser, gel, mask or scrub has ever been able to do that for me. It's such a good purchase and I definitely will be buying this again and again!!
Crème -Trish McEvoy - Even Skin Compact Foundation

My skin is combination oily and for years, I used to use the harshest cleansers and barely any moisturizer and powder foundations. My skin would dry out and then would overcompensate for lack of oil and I'd be a greasy mess in an hour. That being said, FOR ANYONE WHO OILY COMBINATION SKIN, this is FANTASTIC foundation. I worked at a high end department store this summer, so on my breaks, I would test out every kind of product they had in the store. I made friends with the girl at the Trish counter and she said that if I started to moisturize my face and use less harsh products, this foundation would work wonders. And it did! Application/Coverage: It is a creme to powder finish so I apply it with my MAC foundation brush (or my fingers if I'm in a rush). Some times, it's a bit streaky, so I just blend it in with a 188 brush and I'm good to go. I usually set it with bronzer and some setting powder and wa-lah! A beautiful matte, powder finish. The coverage is fantastic and gives you the flawless look. It covers up a lot and I mean, a lot. When I break out, I have little red bumps and if I ever say anything to my friends, they don't believe me because it's covered up THAT well. I'm No. 2 and it's a perfect match to my skin. I usually do not need to touch up my makeup, but if it's rainy, the humidity makes my skin disgusting and oily - so a bit of a bummer. But I mean, I can't control the weather and neither can this foundation. Price/Packaging: It's a bit expensive, especially if you are just starting to use it and you have to buy a compact too. The compact is 18$ and the foundation 42$. I also just wish there was a bit more product, but that's cause I put this stuff on everyday. I am a huge foundation person, so I usually run through this stuff like every 2/3 months. I definitely would give this a try. It's really fantastic for girls with combination skin - it's so difficult to find something that works on every part of my face and this definitely fits the bill!
Lip Treatments -Christian Dior - Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm

I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS LIP PRODUCT! The packaging is really chic and simple. Doesn't take up a lot of room. It's really adorable. The product claims that it "responds to the color chemistry of your lips to create a shade that is uniquely yours. Smooth it on to moisturize, add sun protection, and enhance your natural lip color". It honestly without a doubt does just that! It is really moisturizing and I have really dry lips. it makes me feel like I am just wearing chapstick. But the color is perfect! For me, it depends on the day; sometimes it's a nude color, sometimes it's a really pretty deep magenta color. I loooove it and it goes perfect with everything - dressy, casual, you name it. Overall, it's a fantastic product and I really love it. I bought it back in October and I still have half of it left after using it multiple times a week. Love love love it!
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
xogabr13lla 5/8/2011 9:57:00 PM
I was very hesitant about trying liquid or gel liner. I do not have a steady hand and I figured that it would be very difficult for me to apply. I was obviously very very wrong. I love this product and actually just bought my second Blacktrack the other day in addition to the Dipdown (Dark brown) and Macroviolet (A GOOOORGEOUS purple color). I love the little pot that it comes in. The amount of product that you get in there is ridiculous. My first gel liner lasted me a whole year and I used it almost every weekend for when I went out or when I needed to dress up for an interviews/family occasion/just because!. It made my $15.00 really worth it and I am very please with that (I'm quite stingy and hate spending more money than necessary). Also, it is very easy to apply. It has the perfect consistency. It is thin in the sense that it is easy to apply and does not clump in the pot or on the brush. But it is thick enough that when I apply it, it isn't translucent or transparent like some drugstore gel liners that I have tired. I typically apply this with a MAC 266 Small Angled Brush. It works perfectly for make thin lines, thick lines, winged eyes ... you name it really. Whatever the line is, the product stays on my eyes all day and night and is sometimes still on there after I take it off with make up remover. it lasts a VERY long time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes the look of gel or liquid liner. It's one of the best get and liquid liners I have usedd! I really enjoy having it my makeup collection :)
I really do like this brush. I've washed it many times (about once a week - I'm a germaphob and I hate dirty brushes) and it's held up well. The only issue is - it's very scratchy. It used to be very very soft, but now it's not and I'm not a fan of that. It may be due to over washing it, but I'm not quite sure. I like the size of the brush particularly. I love that the handle is shorter cause it's really a lot easier to use for me. That's probably just me though haha. I do think that it's a good starter brush. I would recommend it to anyone trying BareMinerals for the first time.
Love this color. It's so natural and you can wear it all the time. It goes with everything and it flatters everyone. It's a gorgeous matte color and makes my eyes brighten. Love LOVE LOVE!
Skincare - Face -Clinique - Acne Solutions Line (all products)
xogabr13lla 8/7/2010 8:23:00 PM
I am a Clinique junkie and love all their products. I have used their skincare since I was 12. After awhile, the regular 3-step skincare wasn't cutting it and my skin was starting to stay oily. Therefore, I started using the Acne Solutions kit. First, I love it. My skin has never looked better. I am never oily. Never breakout. Nothing. The only issue is that the products do dry your face out and you have to combine the lotion with the moisturizing GEL in order for your skin to stay moisturized. This will get rid of ALL of the flakiness or dryness. If your skin is still dry, just use the moisturizing gel for a few days and you'll be good to go. Overall, I love this product. Great find. The only skincare line I will use. Definitely a good buy for oily/acne-prone/oily-combo skin. If you have dry skin, get a new moisturizer for sure.
