Masks -Unlisted Brand - Oatmeal

OMG. Oatmeal is great. I have the WORST skin type. My skin is oily, extremely acne-prone, with incredibly large pores. I wanted to stop using my acne medication because I didn't want to put harsh chemicals on my face. Oatmeal is the perfect alternative! I take a handful of rolled oats, run it under water while keeping it clenched in the hand, and wet it a little more with a few drops of water. After it is mushy, I rub it all over my face, trying to get as much oatmeal on my face as possible. Then I wash off with warm water. After I rinse, my skin feels SO soft. And I have to say, it has been controlling the shine well. (I haven't been using it in the summer but it works well during the winter time). When I don't use my acne cream, my skin usually breaks out like crazy with large cystic acne and smaller bumps. I've tried proactive and murad. They don't work at all. I see new pimples form every day. BUT, when I started washing my face with oatmeal twice a day, it has been controlling it better than those two acne products. Some new pimples do form, but they do not last as long and are not as inflamed. My skin seems brighter and feels better. I do use another face wash (Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub) at night to clean my skin better, and usually follow with oatmeal. If you're hesitant to try it, I urge you to! It's affordable and it works for me :)

Foundations -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15
xmegannn 1/8/2013 12:48:00 AM
This product is good, but I am still in search for my HG foundation. I have terrible acne and acne scars which this product does not cover. I feel this is more of a medium coverage makeup. I find it comparable (coverage-wise) with Urban Decay's Naked Skin foundation though the texture is thicker and creamier when squeezed from the bottle. I am color 6 (medium with yellow undertones) in UD's foundation and the Tan color of this foundation is pretty much the same. Also the foundation does not stay for 12-hours, as it claims. Maybe 4-6 hours, depending on the type of day. I do not use any setting powder because it makes my dry patches flaky. The price is not too bat at $38. I will repurchase.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes

This product is mediocre. While it IS moisturizing and helps keep makeup in place, it does not live up to its other claims to reduce dark circles and puffiness. However, I would not purchase this product again at $50/oz ($30/0.5oz). I would rather pay another $20 to buy another, higher end product

Concealers -Clinique - Acne Solutions Clearing Concealer
xmegannn 1/8/2013 12:17:00 AM
This was the first concealer I've tried. I liked the Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup because it didn't break me out. But this was the complete opposite! I broke out in almost all the spots where I applied this concealer. I returned it!! Would not recommend for people with oily, acne-prone skin.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
xmegannn 12/9/2012 8:50:00 PM
I LOVE THIS GEL! It isn't heavy at all and works great with my oily skin under primer and foundation. It gives moisture to the dry, flaky spots without making my oily zones ... oily. I do wear a more hydrating moisturizer in the winter time, but this is perfect for the hot, humid months. It doesn't make my acne-prone skin break out which is a definite plus. It's a good price for the quality and amount. Overall, great product at a great price! Works really well with oily skin and does not cause breakouts or turn my face into an oily mess. Definitely recommend for oily, acne-prone skin!

Liquid -Urban Decay - Naked Skin

This product is okay. It's the first foundation I've tried that doesn't give me severe acne. It does give me some bumps around my chin and nose area but I can deal with that over cystic, painful acne. Also it doesn't give as much coverage as I would like. I have large pores, acne, and acne marks. It hides some, but definitely not as much as I hoped. I apply this over Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel and the Hourglass mineral veil primer/corrector and it keeps my oily skin matte but moisturized all day. But without the moisturizer, it looks flaky on my pimples and dry spots. I hate that it has no SPF :( Overall, I would purchase again, if I can't find anything better. But it does an okay job with covering some of the flaws but not everything. Wouldn't work as well without accompanying products. EDIT: I prefer the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation over this one.

Primer/ Corrector -Hourglass - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15
xmegannn 12/9/2012 8:37:00 PM
Best primer I've used so far! This feels soooo good on my skin. It feels like rubbing velvet onto my skin. It makes it so soft and helps my makeup stay matte all day. And my skin is extremely oily. I also love that it comes with SPF! This is a little pricey ($52 for 1oz) but I say it's worth it. It works and is amazing. A little goes a long way, I usually only need a pump to cover my entire face. I have really acne-prone skin and I'm not sure if this product or my foundation is giving me small breakouts. Not any serious acne but some bumps on my chin and around my nose. Overall, I would purchase this item again because I think it's the best primer on the market and it works!

Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder
xmegannn 12/6/2012 10:31:00 PM
This gives me cystic acne! I have oily, acne prone skin and I've just started wearing foundation. I use the Hourglass mineral veil primer and Urban Decay Naked skin foundation. These products do make me break out over a period of time but not like this powder! It does set my foundation and makes it last longer. But after a couple of hours, I find that I get more oily when wearing this. I stopped using this but used it once the other day and it gave me this painful pimple. I knew it was this because it was the only thing I changed. It may work for some but it breaks me out!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

This product does stay on for hours and does not make my oily skin look greasy. It DOES give me terrible acne though! I find that most drugstore foundations make my face itchy and gives me cystic acne. This foundation was not an exception. I have oily, acne-prone skin and this simply just doesn't work for me.
